Job summary

Are you wanting a career in childcare?  Would you like to earn whilst you learn?  We're looking for Early Years Apprentices to join our Happy Days team based at our Juniors Day Nursery, Cranbrook, part of Happy Days Nurseries.

As an apprentice, you will be working towards a Level 3 qualification in Early Years.  You will gain exposure and hands on experience whilst completing your qualification, whilst being an integral part of the nursery team.

About the role:

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will:

  • Assist in providing exceptional early years education, supporting each child’s development and learning journey.
  • Meet the daily needs of every child with compassion, attentiveness, and professionalism.
  • Work with Early Years Educational Framework (EYFS) to provide exceptional standards of practice for every child within our care.
  • Happy Days strives towards a learning-first environment; you will be fully supported with time, known as "off the job" to complete the academic requirements for your qualification.

About you:

As an Early Years Apprentice, you will:

  • Hold a level 4 GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths; if you do not have the relevant grade in English or Maths you must be prepared to complete this alongside your apprenticeship with our apprenticeship provider.
  • Ideally have completed work experience in a nursery or education setting.
  • Have a genuine passion for childcare.
  • Be willing to work as part of a team but also have the initiative to work independently.
  • To complete the academic requirement as part of this role, you will need to be able to manage your time and able to meet assignment deadlines.
