Room Leader – Brand-New Nursery, Islington
Location: 250 City Road, St Lukes, London, EC1V 2QQ
Salary: £33,000 per annum + Performance Based Bonus

We’re opening a beautiful, 100-place nursery in the heart of St Lukes, and we’re looking for a warm, energetic and inspiring Room Leader to join us from day one.
This is a great opportunity to help shape a brand-new setting, build a strong team, and create a space where children genuinely come first.
As a Room Leader, you’ll be the heartbeat of your room. You will:
- Lead the day-to-day running of your room, acting as a positive role model for your team
- Plan and deliver engaging, EYFS-aligned activities that support children’s learning and development
- Create a safe, nurturing environment with children’s wellbeing at the centre
- Support your colleagues with planning, milestones and observations to a high standard
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents, keeping them informed and involved
- Promote a calm, positive mealtime experience
- Contribute to a supportive, collaborative and fun team culture
We’d love to hear from you if:
- You hold a full and relevant Level 3 (or above) Early Years qualification
- You have experience working with children aged 3 months to 5 years
- You’re currently a Room Leader (perhaps in a smaller setting) and ready for a new challenge, or a strong practitioner ready to step up
- You enjoy autonomy and want a real say in how your room is run
- You’re passionate about providing world-class childcare and always put children at the heart of what you do
- You’re a great communicator and a genuine team player
