About the role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll play a key part in the day?to?day life of our nursery. You’ll help make sure every child feels safe, valued and supported, and that their individual needs are met in a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment.

What you’ll be doing

  • Planning and delivering a range of age?appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
  • Acting as a Key Worker, building strong relationships with children and their families
  • Keeping parents updated on their child’s progress, milestones and day?to?day experiences
  • Supervising indoor and outdoor play to make sure children are happy, safe and engaged
  • Supporting positive, relaxed mealtimes for the children
  • Working closely with your colleagues as a reliable, supportive member of the team

What you’ll need

  • A full and relevant Early Years qualification (Level 3 or above)
  • GCSE English at Grade C/Level 5 or Level 2 Functional Skills (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children aged 3 months to 5 years
  • A genuine passion for high?quality childcare and early education
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team?focused attitude
