An Ofsted Outstanding, well-established Montessori Nursery School in Banstead, Surrey is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Montessori Teacher or Early Years Educator to join a growing team caring for children aged 18 months - 5 years. The nursery school has a strong reputation for delivering a holistic and child-centred approach to learning, and the role offers the chance for the right candidate to develop their nursery management skills to support the Principal and Manager.
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience) – permanent position subject to successful probation period.

Qualifications:
· Completion of a recognised Level 3 Childcare qualification, e.g., Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce, NVQ Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development.
· Montessori Early Childhood teaching Diploma (or studying for the Montessori Early Childhood teaching Diploma) desired but not essential.
Purpose of role:
· To be responsible for the planning and delivery of an inclusive Montessori curriculum suitable to meet the children’s individual needs.
· To ensure a high standard of physical, emotional and social care and education for the children.
· To give support to the Manager and other team members.
· To effectively deliver the Early Years Foundation Stage and ensure all the children’s individual needs are met and all areas of development are encouraged through play.
· To observe and assess children’s development and keep accurate records of their progress and achievements.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with parents/carers and key interfacing groups.
Key Requirements:
· Knowledge of EYFS: A solid understanding of child development, Development Matters framework, and the EYFS curriculum.
· Detailed knowledge of the Montessori approach is desirable.
· Qualified & Experienced: Level 2/3 qualification in Childcare and a minimum grade C/4 in
· Good knowledge of Ofsted guidelines and welfare requirements is essential.
· A detailed understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection is essential.
· Considerable relevant experience of the age range 18 months - 5 years is desirable.
· Knowledge of the key person system and record keeping is desirable.
· Ability to build positive relationships with children and their parents/carers.
· Ability to communicate and work in partnership with families and carers.
· Strong teamwork and collaboration qualities.
· Good written and verbal skills for report writing, maintaining child records and providing feedback to parents/carers and colleagues.
· A good understanding of Microsoft Word is desirable.

· Have their own set of key children and will be responsible for implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage and Montessori philosophies, values and policies.
· Work with parents/carers of all children to achieve full integration in the setting.
· Foresee the needs of all children and give physical, emotional, intellectual guidance as appropriate.
