Job summary

We are currently looking for a home from home cook to join our wonderful, dedicated team and supply freshly prepared healthy meals for the children in our care.

The right candidate will be able to work 8:00/8:30 am- 5:0/5:30pm, Monday to Friday, and hold a level 2 certificate in food catering and hygiene or be willing to carry out this training prior to starting. (Term time is also an option)

We would like someone who has a keen interest in food and can support the manager in creating a well-balanced exciting menu.

You role will include (but not limited to):

• Managing your kitchen area, keeping this area clean and tidy
• Leading on Kitchen inspections from environmental health
• Keeping all paperwork and training up to date
• Creating home from home cooked meals and teas
• Prepping snacks and supporting at lunch times with serving up
• Completing the weekly online shop and stock taking

Requirements .

• Good culinary skills with knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A team player who can work collaboratively with others
• A genuine passion for food and cooking
