JOB TITLE: Qualified Nursery Practitioner

MAIN OBJECTIVES: Job Description
· To work as part of a team, showing initiative and creating an environment in which children’s all round individual needs are meet and high standards of care are provided. To work in accordance to ‘The Early Years Foundation Stage’ (EYFS) and any other frameworks/programmes in place.
· To be a reliable, organised member of the team, to work co-operatively and with flexibility. To have good communication skills with your Nursery team, parents and children.
· Be a fun, exciting, happy key person building relationships with a group of children and their families this includes their settling-in process.
· To play outside in all weathers and not to mind getting too messy!
· To monitor children’s progress by observation, planning, assessing and targeting ‘Next Steps’ with sole responsibility of this for your key group of children using our online journals.
· To be aware of each individual child’s background and culture and to be able to work with children, staff and parents in accordance with all the nursery’s policies. To be responsible for knowing every child’s allergy/dietary requirement.
· To take shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the nursery.
· To have a thorough awareness of safeguarding children and regularly attend training and follow the Nursery’s policies and procedures.
