Nursery Manager Vacancy – First Steps Nursery
Are you a passionate and experienced early years professional looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? First Steps Nursery is seeking a dedicated Nursery Manager to join our team and provide exceptional care and education for young children.

The Role:
As Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of early years professionals, ensuring high-quality childcare for a 60-place nursery, and maintaining a safe, happy, and enriching environment for children. You will oversee the day-to-day running of the nursery, support staff development, and build strong relationships with parents and carers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursery team, ensuring a high standard of childcare and education
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and EYFS requirements
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Oversee staff training, development, and supervisions
- Build strong relationships with parents and external agencies
- Manage nursery recruitment and administrative tasks
What We’re Looking For:
- A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years
- Proven experience in a leadership role within an early years setting
- Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Passionate about early childhood education and child development

Skills / Qualifications:
- NNEB
- BTEC National Diploma
- NCFE
- NVQ level 3 or above in Childcare/Early Years or Childcare foundation degree or EYT status or equivalent
- Paediatric first aid and a Satisfactory DBS check
- Excellent IT skills
- You will ideally have a Management/leadership qualification
