kinderzimmer Bermondsey is a brand-new day nursery located in Pearl Yard, one of Bermondsey’s newest developments. With 92 places across four beautifully designed playrooms, the nursery was thoughtfully created to give children the space, freedom, and support they need to learn and grow.
Alongside inspiring play spaces, children can discover a sunken preschool library, spend time in a dedicated calm room designed to support relaxation and self-regulation, and enjoy a play-based approach that encourages curiosity, independence and exploration.
Just a three-minute walk from Bermondsey Station, the nursery is conveniently positioned for families living in Bermondsey, Rotherhithe and across SE16. Housed within the historic former Peek Freans biscuit factory, kinderzimmer Bermondsey combines the character of a much-loved local landmark with a fresh, modern approach to early years education.

Children at kinderzimmer are able to benefit from Government funding schemes. If you qualify for funding, your child can become eligible for age-specific funding the term after the relevant birthday. Funded hours are available Monday to Friday, 8.00am–6.00pm, 51 weeks of the year. Families may access their full funded entitlement across these hours without the requirement to purchase additional private hours. Funded hours are delivered without artificial breaks.

Our nurseries are open for 51 weeks of the year. Therefore, the Government funding of 38 weeks of the year (term time), is stretched over the full opening period; 15 hours equates to 11.18 per week and 30 hours equates to 22.35 per week. 2 day plans are capped at 20 hours per week.
Voluntary consumable charges cover all food, snacks and milk (including formula) enjoyed during funded hours. For Over 3's, there is an additional charge during funded hours for kPlus, our extra-curricular activities, including sign language, music class and Eco School practices.
