Overton CE Nursery

We couldn't be happier with Overton CE Nursery. We moved our son here from a different setting and he has flourished. The staff clearly care very much about each individual child, and the facilities available are excellent.

I feel so fortunate to have found such a fantastic nursery. Everyday when I drop my daughter off I know she will be looked after with the most care and she will have a varied and exciting day.

As the mother of a child who can be nervous, we've found the staff so unbelievably caring and supportive. My child's key worker or another lovely member of staff greets my daughter with a friendly, bubbly and caring smile everyday. She is nurtured in a way that strikes the perfect balance, working with the knowledgeable staff to help her gradually adjust ready for the transition to school. I cannot sing their praises enough!

The environment is clean, well equipped and a space that little ones can really explore (through weekly themes, the new outside play area or a trip to the forest, care home or even farm!). A real highlight of for me is the non-commercialised, friendly atmosphere and I hope to send her younger sister in the future.

We moved our son here as it was closer to home and I'm so glad we did. He has come on so much, in confidence, writing, numbers and reading. The staff are all so incredibly welcoming, experienced, dedicated and really seem to care about the individual needs of the children. The facilities are all beautiful and well kept. The staff are always thinking up new creative input, they organise a off site trips, on site trips to the forest, school hall, library and to see the children in the school do their plays and choir. They do special events such as mother's & fathers day stay and plays, Nativity. It is so enriching for the children.

I would highly recommend Overton CE Nursery to anyone.

My Son has attended Overton CE Nursery since September 2025 having moved there from another setting. I can honestly say it was the best decision we made. The environment is beautiful and really well thought out, and they also use the school for library trips and PE etc which is a lovely addition. The part that has made the biggest difference for us though is the staff who are all fantastic. They really take time to create engaging learning activities but most of all it's clear how each and every one of them care and understand the individual child, their natural preferences and help foster this to help each one grow in their own way. I've really seen my son flourish over recent months and he's so comfortable there - he never complains when it's pre-school day! I would thoroughly recommend to anyone looking for a pre-school in the area.

They have recently started visiting the local care home, which allows my son to see his great grandad while with his friends, he has talked non stop about how excited he is to introduce his teachers and friends to his Grandad Eddie, we will be sad to leave them when he moves up to big school but I know they have given him the best start to his school life and that will make the transition so much easier for him.

I could not give this nursery a higher rating.

After drop-off, I leave happy knowing my child is well cared for and all her social, emotional and developmental needs are being met. I couldn't ask for more!

As a parent, I feel incredibly lucky that my child attends Overton Nursery. The staff genuinely go above and beyond to make sure every child feels welcome, safe and like they belong. There is a real warmth about the setting and you can see how much the staff care.

They plan a wide range of engaging activities both indoors and outside, linked to different themes. They really take the time to get to know each child's interests and use this to support their next steps, helping them grow in confidence and get ready for school.

The children enjoy lovely experiences such as visits from vets and the fire brigade. They also spend time in the wider school, visiting the library, taking part in assemblies, using the cookery room and joining in with discos, which really helps with the move to school.

Forest School and weekly visits to a care home help children build confidence and develop strong community links. The staff have a clear understanding of the EYFS and make sure every child thrives.

Amazing nursery, it really is 10/10. The staff are so warm and naturing. My child has progressed so much since starting in September 2025 and I can see she is school ready now due to their fantastic support and provision. We will be so sad to leave!

Communication is always perfect and transparent, it's a pleasure to have the nursery in the village.

Great nursery! Little one is very happy there. Lots of great learning that goes on. Love the new outside area! The amazing staff plan lots of adventures for the children as well as lots of great in class activities. Highly recommended!

Overton nursery has been an amazing experience for my granddaughter! She was welcomed and settled in right from the start by an amazing team who take the time to get to know each child and family personally. She absolutely loves going each day and talks enthusiastically about all the amazing things she has got up to. The staff go above and beyond in offering amazing experiences like regularly exploring the woodland area in the school grounds, taking them on visits in the community and having external visitors (the fire engine was a big hit!). The flexible hours are a great advantage as well, with both term time only and full day care. We do some full days and some shorter sessions to fit in with our working patterns. We will be sad come September when she moves across to big school, but thrilled with the amazing start that has prepared her perfectly for school. And being on the same site as the primary school will make the transition so much easier. Thoroughly recommend!

We couldn't be happier with Overton CE Nursery School. The staff are absolutely incredible and truly go above and beyond for the children every single day. They create such a nurturing, safe, and happy environment where little ones can really thrive. It's clear how much care and passion they put into everything they do. We feel so lucky to have found such a special place.

I can't recommend Overton CE Nursery School enough. As a grandparent, seeing my grandchild so excited to go in and so happy when they come out says everything. The staff go above and beyond, creating such a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. It gives our whole family such peace of mind.
