What the Enhancement Fee Covers (£12.50/day)
£3 – Access to our Famly App – your personal window into your child’s forest school adventures! View photos and videos of their learning, follow their progress through weekly observations, receive instant updates about events and activities, and access electronic accident and medication forms. The app also keeps you connected with our weekly newsfeed, group updates, and important notifications like parents’ evening reminders.
£1.50 – Nutritious breakfasts (porridge, toast, fresh fruit toppings).
£1.50 – Rolling snacks & campfire treats (fruit, crackers, breadsticks, crumpets, soup, and more).
£2 – Weekly tuition & interactive sessions (Music, Spanish ).
£1 – Donation for our weekly visits to Local Library, football field/indoor building, wildlife rescue area
£2 – Campfire resources (firewood, tools, and materials).
£1.50 – Toiletries & essentials (wipes, toilet roll, paper towels).
If You Choose to Opt Out
Families who opt out of the enhancement fee will need to supply some of these items themselves — including snacks, toiletries, and campfire resources — and your child may miss out on certain enrichment activities. Please note: opting out also means you will lose access to our Famly App, and will not receive the photo, video, and progress updates it provides.
Why Your Support Matters
We understand this fee may not be possible for everyone. For families facing genuine financial difficulty, please speak to us — we’re here to help. But for most families, paying the fee allows us to keep making our setting the very best it can be — full of exciting activities, rich learning opportunities, and joyful memories for your children.
Ways to Save
Tax-Free Childcare – Save 20% (fee becomes £10/day)
Universal Credit (working parents) – Claim back up to 85% (fee becomes £1.87/day)
Government-funded hours help with childcare costs, but the hourly rate they pay is far below the true cost of providing high-quality care.
