Whitehall Park School Nursery is managed by the fully qualified Assistant Headteacher of the school, which is unique in nursery settings.

The nursery class is housed in a specially designed environment, newly furnished, and with its own dedicated space and entrance; it is, however, fully part of the primary school as this allows children to get used to their future environment.

The daily structure and routines strike a balance between focussed, adult-led sessions and extended periods of child-led exploration. Children thrive through play, by observing and interacting with peers, through guided learning, and with direct, purposeful teaching.

Whitehall Park School Nursery offers a nurturing environment focussed on learning for children aged 3-4 years. The nursery is open from 7.45am-6pm, for 48 weeks of the year (regular free hours, plus optional breakfast and after school clubs).

Funding & Fees

Compared to other nurseries, we offer seven hours per day for FREE (instead of six) if your child is with us full time.
If your child only attends the morning or afternoon sessions, but you need additional hours occasionally, or if you are only entitled to 15 free hours and need more time in care, the extra hours will be charged at £5.50 per hour.

At our nursery, you can take advantage of the government's free hours. We offer 35 FREE hours a week if your child is full time, instead of the standard 30:

8:30am-11:30am (morning only)
12:30pm-3:30pm (afternoon only)
8:30am-3.30pm full time, with free lunch period as well as free lunch.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The care, attention, and dedication shown to my daughter have been truly outstanding. She started at three years old without ever attending a formal education setting, and in just one term her progress has been amazing.

She has met all her developmental

milestones, learned over half of the phonics, speaks with confidence, and is even writing the phonics she has learned. Watching her grow in ability and self-belief has been incredible.

The nursery follows a child-centred, multidisciplinary approach that many settings could learn from. The staff are knowledgeable, and their energy and passion are contagious. I truly feel my child has been given a head start in education-and most importantly, she absolutely loves it.

Reply from Jennifer Brobbey, Class Teacher, EYFS Lead & Assistant Headteacher at Whitehall Park School NurseryThank you Vanessa for your wonderful feedback - it genuinely made our day.
We are so pleased to hear how positive your experience has been and how settled and happy K feels at nursery. Supporting children and families during these important early years is something we take great pride in and your comments will be shared with the team.
Thank you for your trust and continued support. We feel very fortunate to have such engaged and appreciative families as part of our nursery community.
Kind regards,
(Class Teacher, EYFS Lead & Assistant Headteacher)

Current Review Score: 8.9 (8.902)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.9 (8.902) out of 10 for Whitehall Park School Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 3 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Whitehall Park School Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (36 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 36 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.902 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Whitehall Park School Nursery is based on 3 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.25
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 23 number of registered child places is 4.6. 3 Positive Reviews ÷ 4.6 = 0.652
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
