St Andrew's nursery has amazing setup and outdoor space, forest school and swimming pool at the same place. All these translate to pletora pf day activities through which kids learn. Both our kids enjoy time there. Groups are small and staff is very attentive and carrying. We appreciated locally cooked
food and snacks as our first born been picky eater, but with this nursery we never heard any complaints from her. Nursery children interact with pre-prep and transition to reception was absolutely smooth.

An absolutely fantastic nursery in which our 3yo son is thriving. The teachers are warm and welcoming (and super qualified), the curriculum is appropriate, challenging and inspiring and the children always look so happy. Facilities are first rate and the general nursery environment is well thought out.
We cannot recommend it enough. Fees are at the higher end but we expected this because of VAT etc.

I cannot recommend St Andrews nursery highly enough. Sending my child to nursery for the first time was a big step, but this setting has been everything I dreamed of-and more.

The staff create such a warm, nurturing environment that she settled in almost immediately. It's a huge comfort to know that

our child feels safe and engaged all day long.

The team is incredible-attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about child development. They treat every child as an individual.

The facilities are bright, clean, and filled with stimulating activities. The outdoor space is fantastic. I adore that they have a swimming, forest school, library visits, and PE as a weekly occurrence.

If you are looking for a nursery where your child will thrive, learn, and be genuinely happy, look no further. This place is a gem, and we are so grateful for the wonderful care they provide.

St Andrews has been great for our nearly 3 year old who joined in September. The team are amazing, she loves going in every morning and her language, practical skills and social skills are coming on rapidly.

Now St Andrews is offering 48 weeks a year care this has made a real difference to the nursery's

accessibility to working families

We couldn't be happier with our daughter's experience at St Andrews.
The teachers are warm, dedicated, and genuinely invested in each child's development. They strike the perfect balance between nurturing care and encouraging independence. We particularly appreciate their level of communication.
The
variety of activities on offer is impressive. Our daughter particularly loves forest school sessions. The approach of learning through play keeps her excited about school each day.
What really sets St Andrews apart is its ethos. There's a wonderful sense of community, respect, and joy throughout. The values of kindness, curiosity, and perseverance are woven into everything, and the headmaster's approachable presence creates a reassuring culture from the top down.
We feel incredibly fortunate and would wholeheartedly recommend St Andrews to any family.

We knew that our daughter would have a wonderful time at St Andrews but it has exceeded our expectations. Every week we look forward to hearing about her adventures in nursery and last week she was treated to a tractor ride around the school! I'm not sure there are many nurseries that could offer such
an experience! She enjoys regular trips to the school's beautiful woods and cosy library as well activities that encourage independence and nurture a curious little mind. The care that the staff have shown and attention to detail is faultless. Put simply, St Andrews is perfect and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.790)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.790) out of 10 for St Andrew's, Berkshire is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.990 for St Andrew's, Berkshire is calculated as follows: ( (95 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 96 Ratings = 4.99
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.8 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for St Andrew's, Berkshire is based on 8 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.8
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 32 number of registered child places is 6.4, which has been reached with 8 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
