Our son started with Little Peaks in January after a bad experience for us with his first nursery setting, this left us apprehensive about moving him and starting all over again but we needn't have worried. Our experience with little peaks has been amazing and the way our son now loves going to nursery
has blown us away. He sprints in every morning! The feedback from the staff is great, I feel like they really know him, what he likes and what he doesn't like and they really care for the children as individuals. The updates are brilliant and handovers even better. We know who his friends are, which areas he thrives in and feel the staff are there to support us as parents aswell. The staff are professional and the owners Kirsty and Sam really take pride in what they do. Special shoutout to Louise and Sarah also for being so amazing with our little boy and greeting him everyday with a hug and a smile. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone.

Having been nervous about starting my daughters nursery journey for a long time and putting off starting the process, I was very pleasantly surprised and instantly put at ease the moment I met Kirsty and the team at little peaks. My daughter settled in with no issues and now talks very positively and
with so much enthusiasm about her days at little peaks and talks very highly of all of the staff she spends time with. She genuinely can't wait for her next session and as a Mum, that puts my mind at ease. We love little peaks x

Our daughter has been at Little Peaks for nearly a year now and she's loving her time there. She quickly settled in and is always eager to go to nursery. She names her friends and teachers and tells me stories about games they've played or songs they've singed. It's very clear she loves going, which
is hugely reassuring to me.
Administrative stuff is all super easy and all of the staff are exceptional. So I strongly recommend Little Peaks.
Reply from Kirsty Cook, Director at Little Peaks Day NurseryThank for such a lovely review - nursery wouldn't be the same without her chattering away and singing...always singing! Being a part of her early years journey means the world to us and watching her gain confidence and develop friendships is amazing - she's a lot of fun to be around!

My son has been at this nursery since it opened and absolutely loves going. He has gained so much independence and comes home telling us all about his activities and his friends and includes the staff as his friends. His development and learning has come on rapidly in the past year.
The nursery has
a lovely outside space and plenty of room inside too. He definitely looks forward to nursery days!
Reply from Kirsty Cook, Director at Little Peaks Day NurseryThank you so much for such a lovely review and for allowing us to be such a big part of his journey. Watching him develop over the last year has been a real privilege and now we get to watch him thriving in pre-school making lots of little friends - we can't wait to see what he next year brings!

Our little boy started at little peaks in march 2025 after experiencing a very traumatic start at another childcare setting. Kirsty, Sam & Sally made sure from the very first day that our little boy would experience the best care and proved that perfect nursery's do exist! Since starting he has grown
in so many ways, made lovely friendships with all the staff and made lovely little friends! ( So much so pick up takes 15 minutes, as he never wants to come home! ) I would highly recommend little peaks to any parents looking for the perfect setting! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars, as they truly deserve it :)
Reply from Kirsty Cook, Director at Little Peaks Day NurseryThank you so so much - reviews like this mean EVERYTHING to our amazing staff team. We've been so impressed with the nursery and the care our daughter receives. The staff are incredibly warm and genuinely caring - it's clear how much they invest in the children's happiness and development. She absolutely loves her key workers, which gives us great peace of mind.

They create a fun,

stimulating environment with plenty of messy play and outdoor activities that she wouldn't always get to experience at home. The space itself is beautifully maintained and provides a calm, welcoming setting for the children. We couldn't be happier with our choice of nursery

Our son has been attending Little Peaks since he was 6 months old. We visited lots of nurseries in the run up to his birth, and we knew as soon as we stepped into Little Peaks, this was the nursery for us. The staff are so caring, compassionate and make the time to learn all about each individual child
and their needs. We get updates everyday with how his day is going, and lots of lovely pictures too. He is THRIVING since joining! He gets to try lots of different homemade meals, learns new skills everyday and most importantly for us, the staff value the outdoors and how beneficial it is for children. We couldn't imagine sending him anywhere else.
Reply from Kirsty Cook, Director at Little Peaks Day NurseryThank you so much for your kind words - It'll mean so much to the baby room staff who LOVE looking after him and watching him develop more and more everyday!

We are honestly blown away by this nursery. Having looked at a few in the area little peaks really does go above and beyond from its lovely welcoming staff to the updates on the ap which is used. Our son has some delays and they have been amazing from the get go wifh communicating with other professions
involved with him. All the staff are always so polite and smiley even ones not in the baby room and the owners are honestly incredible and really do help in any way they can!

Sending my little boy to Little Peaks has been a really positive experience. The staff are lovely, always have time for you and my son seems to absolutely love it there. You hear so many horror stories about nursery and I feel lucky to say I'm 100% confident that my son is always in safe hands.

Due to a change in childcare requirements I found myself struggling to find a last minute nursery place for my 12 month old daughter. I came across Little Peaks who with been newly established had space on the required days.
I was really anxious to leave her, especially after been close to myself everyday,
breastfed to sleep or carried in a sling.
I've been so happy with the care my little one has received and find all the staff kind, helpful and eager to listen and learn about individual preferences. Nothing feels like too much trouble and all questions are answered open and honestly.
She has enjoyed playing, snack time and even managed to settled for naps.
This has really eased my worries about leaving her when at work.

We are SO glad we found Little Peaks Day Nursery for our daughter.
She attended a nursery prior to Little Peaks opening which is a large chain and she just didn't settle there she never got the attention she wanted or in my opinion also deserves!
She loves attending the nursery, she is now also excelling
in her development!
Little Peaks Day Nursery is a cut above the rest, it is operated and owned by two highly experienced and professional women who put their heart and soul into making Little Peaks what it is! We are so grateful it's on our doorstep!

We feel so lucky to have found Little Peaks!

After struggling to secure a nursery place for our son and making a last-minute switch, I was apprehensive. But from day one, our experience has been exceptional.

The setting is beautiful, overlooking the Peak District, with plenty of parking. The indoor

and outdoor facilities are fantastic, including a dedicated nap space. The manager and another staff member carefully select top-quality staff, and it truly shows.

Our little boy has blossomed-he now walks in happily, excited to see the staff and start playing! The app system is great for checking in on his day, and the team is always proactive in communicating any concerns.

Little Peaks has given us complete peace of mind, and we couldn't be happier. I highly recommend it to any parent looking for a caring, high-quality nursery!

We have been incredibly happy with the care and support this nursery have shown us and our daughter. At 4 months old when she started we were nervous but she has absolutely loved every minute. They have even helped us with taking a bottle after being exclusively breastfed. The space is lovely warm and
inviting, well kept with good attention to detail and an incredible outside space. We are from the area and getting out of town this way is so much easier than driving through to other facilities.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.982 for Little Peaks Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (164 Excellents x 5) + (3 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 167 Ratings = 4.982
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Little Peaks Day Nursery is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 51 number of registered child places is 10.2, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
