New Moon Nursery, Warmfield is located in an beautiful Farm House. Situated in a semi-rural location with idyllic views of the countryside. The Nursery also has an extensive outdoor learning facility.

The Nursery is based on the edge of Normanton, close to Wakefield and the surrounding areas. It is easily accessible from both the M62 and M1 motorways.

New Moon Nurseries Ltd is a family run company, the director was once a Speech and Language Therapist specialising in Early Years; and has over 16 years experience of being a director of the company. New Moon Nurseries Ltd also has another highly recommended nursery based in Castleford.

The Nursery manager is an Early Years Teacher with a wealth of knowledge and experience in Early Years. The practitioners are highly qualified and provide a warm, nurturing environment for all children. Providing outstanding childcare and education is the priority and Managers and Practitioners work hard to ensure that high quality activities and interactions are provided daily.

Practitioners are trained in Paediatric First aid, and continued professional development is high on the agenda to ensure that the quality of care and education is of the highest standard.

We couldn't be happier with our son's nursery. From the moment we walk through the door, we are always made to feel so welcome - the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely caring.


It's clear how much they value each child as an individual. The team dedicate real time and attention to our

son, supporting his needs and helping him grow in confidence every day. We especially appreciate how they encourage his independence, giving him the space and guidance to try new things for himself.


In just a few short months, we've seen such a noticeable difference in how much he has learned and developed.

Lovely nursery, my daughter loves being in the outdoors and with animals and this suits her perfectly. She's come on development wise so much and she enjoys going. The food always sounds amazing as well.

A wonderful nursery full of kind, caring and professional staff. My daughter has attended since she was 2 and has always been supported and well looked after. The staff go above and beyond to ensure that parents are well informed and that their child is happy in nursery. We receive frequent daily updates
via the app. Our daughter has SEN needs and without the support of the staff at New Moon she wouldn't have made the progress she has done. The staff have worked with other professionals to ensure she has the best care needed. Everytime we collect, all the children are happy and the staff take the time to get to know each child as an individual. We will be moving onto to school soon and we are very sad to leave New Moon!

One of the best things I ever did was move my little boy to this nursery. I moved him from his previous pre-school, as he never settled in this room at his previous nursery, always crying. It didn't take long for him to settle here. This place has a lovely family, home feel to it. When you leave your
child somewhere you want to be happy with it and I have always felt happy to leave him there. This nursery has very caring individuals working here. The setting is amazing allowing the children to be outdoors, play on an amazing park and get involved with nature. I wish my little boy could stay here forever but obviously that cannot happen, when he leaves in August to start school I am going to be heart broken. The value for money is incredible. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for his amazing time here.

Our daughter has been attending this Nursery for just over a year and we are constantly surprised by how above and beyond they go. The activities we see they do with them on the app is lovely to see - our little girl loves going and is pointing and wanting to go in on days she's not there and we drive
past. They cater to her allergies amazingly and even the variation of meals she has shocks me aswell! I recommend so many people I know looking to take a look. They have so much outside space and playing areas and my little girl loves seeing the chickens.

This is the best nursery I have ever come across. I work in education and have spent plenty of time in and around nurseries and New Moon Warmfield goes above and beyond. Since my eldest started in 2023 to my youngest who will be starting in June, I would not think to send them anywhere else. We recently
moved house and the drive is about 30 minutes each way and even that is not enough to deter me from sending the kids there. Keep up the good work!

My little boy is 2 started in January 2026 and so far they've been absolutely amazing! He only goes one day a week but they still make a lot of effort to find out his likes and needs.


My little boy is non verbal with extra needs, all of the staff go above an beyond and he's connected with all of

them which is usually difficult for him.


They go the extra mile with his needs for food and makaton and embrace all his differences. There's no issues with finding his way of doing things and showing him safer ways to 'post' items. Doing his support plan we've been very involved in and kept up to date. He's come on so much since starting.


The building is beautiful, everyone is very friendly and I genuinely couldn't recommend the nursery enough. Special mention to Natasha, Ellie and Anna for doing everything they can.

I honestly cannot recommend this nursery enough.


My little boy started here at 13 months old when my maternity leave came to an end, and they were absolutely amazing throughout the whole transition. He settled in really well, and even on the days he struggled at handover, the staff were always so

reassuring and kept me updated to let me know he had settled.


They carry out regular developmental checks and always keep me informed about how he's progressing, which I really value. The nursery itself is stunning and every member of staff is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely caring.


A special shoutout to Maddison, she is truly an angel in disguise. Her kindness, patience, and dedication did not go unnoticed, and she has made such a positive impact on our experience.


My little boy has recently moved up to the toddler room, and the nursery made this transition so smooth and stress-free. He is absolutely thriving, which says everything.

My son has attended since he was 6 months old (now 2) and he absolutely loves it. The staff are skilled, attentive and reassuring, the communication is excellent I'm always kept in the loop. The chef is a star, my boy always wants seconds!
They have beautiful homegrown outdoor play areas and surroundings.
My child loves the animals and making friends.


Highly recommend to any local parents!

I moved my son to new moon in Warmfield from another nursery. The level of care is amazing, from daily updates to parents evening, the staff and managers are absolutely brilliant, access to the garden is always available. The meals the children get are amazing. A truly wonderful nursery setting.
I found it a daunting prospect having to find a nursery for my children due to going back to work at the end of my maternity leave, but I'm just so glad to have found New Moon.
5* staff, 5* environment, 5* experience all round. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I have 2 daughters who attend New Moon nursery and both are thriving there. My eldest has grown so much in confidence and independence. She runs into nursery each day and is always excited to be there. The nursery staff are friendly and supportive. They approached me in a professional way to discuss
development concerns and are supporting my daughter to develop and she is coming on more and more each week. The facilities are brilliant, particularly the outdoor space. My youngest loves the animals. Overall I couldn't be happier that my children love it there and they are safe.

Our baby has been going here for a few months now, he was 8 months old when he started. I was very nervous about sending him to nursery so young but New Moon were fantastic. They did several settling in days and he's really grown to love all the staff who look after him. We get daily updates via an
app with photos and a summary of what he's eaten, which is great to see. I'd highly recommend this nursery!

I am Katy Ward. I am a qualified Early Years Teacher with over 10 years of experience working with children and families. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of supporting many families, leading and developing an early years team, and creating wonderful learning environments where children could grow and flourish.


When the opportunity arose to manage such a special new nursery, I was truly excited to bring together all of my knowledge and expertise to create a setting that feels safe, nurturing, and homely.


My passion is to ensure that every child has the chance to learn, explore, and thrive through play, while feeling happy, valued, and secure.


Both Castleford and Warmfield nurseries’ ethos is to provide a warm, loving, homely environment, and you will get this feeling when you visit.
