Craighead Childcare Centre

Lovely staff and because it is a small nursery they have a lot of time for the kids. I also like that a lot of time is spend outdoors and they do activities with and within the local community (eg visiting the care home, library, community garden).

My daughter has attended breakfast and afterschool care here for the past two years, and we've had such a lovely experience. The staff are always kind and caring, with a wide range of toys and activities to keep the children happy and busy. It's lovely that they get outside to enjoy the playground when the weather allows, too.

Audrey always has a smile on her face at drop-off and pick-up, and it's clear how well she knows each of the children. That personal care makes such a difference.

The management were incredible during a difficult time for our family, always accommodating last-minute changes to our sessions when we needed them. Their kindness, understanding and flexibility meant so much to us.

A truly lovely nursery and out-of-school care team. We're so grateful for everything they do and would highly recommend them!

My child has been attending Craighead Childcare Centre since August 2025 when he turned 3. Ever since he started, the staff have been amazing, so welcoming, warm and supportive. My child absolutely loves going to Craighead Childcare Centre and has lovely relationships with all the ladies in his room. There is a warm and friendly ambiance to the nursery as soon as you walk in. They do fun and exciting activities every day and spend a lot of time outdoors in the well resourced nursery garden and out on walks. My child has learned so much about nature since he's been there. The staff are also great at letting parents know what the children have been up to through the nursery app, posting pictures and a description of what the children have been doing. My child has thrived since being at Craighead Childcare Centre and has made great friendships with the other children there too..

Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Excellent relationships. The staff really helped my child to settle really quickly. The outdoor play is fantastic with so much variety and creative tasks on walks, really making the most of the local natural environment. Great communication at the start and end of each day with regular updates on famly app.

We have entrusted our daughter to the nursery from 10 months old to now 9 years. She is now at after school care. I have never been in doubt that my daughter has received the best of care and communication has always been fantastic

First week has gone so well and we are very happy with all aspects of the care provided. Staff are fantastic and make both children and adults fell at ease. The famly app is also great for communication.

If I have any questions, these are always answered promptly and resolved.

My child has been here for nearly 3 years, he has thrived and excelled because of the nursery and staff. I have recommended the nursery to many. It's 5 stars. Everyone in the local area should send their child here.

The nursery has always thrived to provide amazing care for my child in learning, social skills, health needs and personal development.

Craighead nursery has been a fabulous setting for my child. The staff and management are very supportive. My child is cared for very well and enjoys his time in nursery. All staff have built lovely relationships with my child. My child's key worker is very nurturing and knows my child very well. Management are always on hand to answer questions and speak to and are very approachable. They have a great outdoor space that my child can access, and they also visit local parks. My child can participate in a variety of fun learning experiences and there is a nurture space if he needs some time to relax also.
