- BA Hons Childhood Studies (Level 6)

I have worked at APS with the wonderful Nursery team for the past five years. Since graduating with a first-class degree in Early Childhood Studies in 2019, I have enjoyed planning and delivering a multitude of learning experiences which ignite children's curiosity and support their development. I love the outdoors and taking learning into the natural environment, as well as bringing stories to life through props with different sensory experiences.
In my spare time, I enjoy running, reading and travelling to new places across the world.
- NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People
- Paediatric First Aid
After becoming a full-time mum to my two daughters, I studied an NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People and worked in my daughter's school.
I came to APS Nursery when it opened in 2015 and have absolutely loved working here over the last 10 years, meeting our new families and helping our youngest members of the school settle and grow here.
Outside of school, I enjoy travelling with my family and going on long walks with my dog.

Hello, I am Miss Parkinson, and I am ready to welcome you to Nursery with a friendly smile and a positive nature. Let me tell you a little bit about myself; I have two children who are my world, and we love our adventures together, but before becoming a mum, I qualified as a level 3 Early Years Educator in 2004. I then later went on to qualify as a level 2 Teaching Assistant in 2021. I have gained experience through working in private day nurseries and as a private nanny, and finally, then found my lovely and wholesome working home at Altrincham Preparatory School. I love it here, and I am sure your children will too!
Hello, I am Miss Dean, and in my role, I hope to help your child feel comfortable, nurtured and valued during their time at nursery. I have a passion for Early Years and want to make a positive contribution to those important first years of development and learning. I am a qualified Early Years Teacher and have been working in a nursery setting since 2022, where I have also gained a Level 3 in Children's Education and Learning. Before this, I gained a certificate of higher education from Norland College in 2017. The environment at Altrincham Preparatory School is a wonderful place to work, and as a result, I find it to be a happy place for the children to thrive.
