From September 2026, Oaklands School will be expanding its Nursery & Pre-School provision to include a choice of term time only provision for 34 weeks, or provision throughout the year for 50 weeks.

When you arrive at Oaklands School, you will be greeted with a warm welcome that invites you and your child to become part of a very special community.

The school is well-established in the area and has been educating local children for around 80 years. As a result, they are seeing more and more children joining whose grandparents were at Oaklands themselves.

Oaklands School values close partnerships with parents and the contributions they make to the education of their children. They place a great deal of importance on keeping parents involved in their child's academic progress.

Their teaching methods combine the traditional and the modern to provide a stimulating and creative learning environment. Children have access to highly qualified professionals who teach with flair and sensitivity.

Academically, Oaklands School encourages their children to aim high and to have the confidence to learn new skills and interests. The broad range of activities both inside and outside the classroom provides a rich environment where all children can discover hidden aptitudes and talents.

The school emphasises the acquisition of social skills and encourages respect and consideration for others at all times. This helps children to understand the needs of others. Good manners, respect for others and self discipline are fundamental aspects of the core values they teach.

Families may choose from 3, 4 or 5 days per week.
Fees include provision from 8.30am until 5pm including mid-morning snack, lunch and tea.
Fees are calculated over 49 weeks to exclude the 5 bank holidays not included in the annual two-week Christmas closure.
Fees for our 50 week provision will be invoiced monthly in arrears and collected by direct debit on the first day of each month.
No VAT is applicable to Nursery & Pre-School fees.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
Oaklands has been absolutely fantastic for our family. Three of my daughters have attended and every one of them has loved it. The activities are amazing fun, engaging, and covering both academic learning and sports, they really help the children grow in confidence and skills.
The teachers are truly
wonderful - caring, supportive, and passionate about what they do. Communication has always been excellent, which gives such peace of mind as a parent. The wraparound and pastoral care has also been brilliant and incredibly reliable.
They were incredibly helpful when it came to choosing the best next school for the girls and genuinely cared about each child's future and success. They went above and beyond with exam preparation too.
We couldn't be happier with our experience at Oaklands and would highly recommend it to any family looking for a nurturing, fun, and supportive environment for their children.
