Eppleby Forcett CE Primary School and Preschool

I'm so happy with the preschool. My daughter has settled in wonderfully, and the staff are incredibly kind and supportive. She's been given a wide range of learning experiences, from reading and arts and crafts to more hands-on activities like making bird feeders and building houses for the three little pigs. Every week she learns new songs, and when I pick her up, the staff provide a full update on her day. They truly feel like family. It's clear that both the children and adults are happy and engaged. We couldn't be happier with her pre school which is helping her get ready for the next steps.

Both my children have attended the preschool and I believe it was an incredibly positive start to their education. From the start they were happy and relaxed there, and I knew they were cared for. The staff took time to get to know us all and when dropping the children off it felt like visiting family. They enjoyed the food which was always freshly cooked on site just for them and this mirrors the attention and care they received on site every day. I loved hearing them chat about what they had been doing and saw huge development in talking and social skills very quickly. This is such a warm and caring place for children, where they are encouraged, respected and have fun! I would wholeheartedly recommend the preschool for anyone looking for a wonderful, caring and inspiring place for their children.

Very friendly people, very knowledgeable,very professional, I will recommend. They making a very nice atmosphere for the children, always taking care in a best way and great attitude, my children still always talking about it they absolutely love it.

A wonderful preschool setting, staff are so friendly and welcoming. The care given is great. My eldest flourished so much it was without question where we wanted to send my youngest. My little girl loves going. She has come on so much and is really excited to start school.

My daughter runs into pre-school every morning without a backwards glance! All of the staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The hot school dinners offer a tasty balanced meal every day. The outdoor area is great, with a covered area for outdoor play whatever the weather.

The staff is wonderful and very approachable and communication is great. I have three children who have attended or currently attend, and they have all eagerly looked forward to going every day.

My daughter started Eppleby Preschool a month after her 2nd birthday. She started with a couple of mornings a week and settled in very quickly. The preschool area is so lovely with different role-play areas, outdoor toys, and books. They always did different activities every day. We were kept fully informed in all learning through an app which is fabulous to see pictures of your child in class. Eppleby preschool is especially nice as next door is the reception class which gives your child a soothing transition into primary. I feel very lucky to have Eppleby Preschool close by.

Amazing EYFS provision! Eppleby Forcett pre-school is a wonderful setting for children beginning their school journey. The site (dedicated to pre-school and reception children only) is exceptional with indoor and outdoor spaces set up to allow children to explore their interests and engage in a variety of learning experiences that allow them to thrive. The most wonderful thing about the preschool though is the staff! They are warm and caring and put the children’s needs and interests first. They take time to get to know the children and their families; we are extremely thankful that our children have been lucky enough to attend the pre-school and reception classes here. I would highly recommend Eppleby Forcett Primary and Pre-school.

Both of our children have attended this pre-school (having been at a private nursery), with the second still here. It’s completely fantastic. The staff are wonderful, both children have adored their time here and have been highly engaged and fulfilled. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely fantastic. My son has attended Eppleby Forcett pre-school for 5 months now, prior he attended a nursery where he cried upon every single drop off since he was 10 months old. Since attending Eppleby Forcett preschool, he has become a different child - excited to attend and even asks if he can go on his days off/in holidays. The staff care for the children as one of their own and are always creating activities that relate to their interests and needs. We have nothing but great things to say about Eppleby Forcett and only wish our son could stay on for longer!

My son attends preschool here once a week and hopefully will get into reception in September. We’re really happy with all aspects of the preschool; opportunities to play outside, lots of different activities and lovely food. This week was science week and my son described in detail the activities they were all doing. He always come home happy and can’t wait to tell us what he’s been doing that day.The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We also make use of the breakfast and after school which are really handy for working parents.

I cannot say enough good things about this Nursery, they accommodated me as much as they possibly could when we first moved to the area, and you can tell the staff love being there and genuinely care about the children and their families. I took my little boy to a few settings and this was the one he picked, I was not in the least surprised because the environment is so warm and welcoming and the staff go above and beyond! He asked to start the next day! Brilliant setting with a beautiful ethos and approach to early years education!

Their efforts have undeniably played a pivotal role in my daughter's positive pre-school experience. My son has attended both nursery and pre school here and I can't recommend it highly enough. The environment is lovely, the learning and development of my son whilst here is excellent and all the staff are amazing! Even though there are many nurseries and schools much nearer to where we live we are happy to drive 2 hours each day in order for him to attend such a fantastic place for his early years.

An amazing preschool setting with wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces. Fantastic staff and resources /varied activities for the children to get involved with. Loved that they also had an outdoor under cover play area so the children can enjoy some fresh air in any weather if they wished!

I have a daughter who currently attends here and my oldest also came here when she was younger. It is an excellent nursery run by calm, supportive and informative staff. They know the children inside out and help them develop academically but also to develop into a kind and thoughtful child. Nothing is too much for the staff and they are always there to talk to. The environment is well thought out and encourages the children to explore the whole curriculum at a level that is right for them. They really do start a child’s life into education in the best way.

My little one had a problem with communication at her last school, she was very shy, and I was told by her old school that she was having some kind of anxiety. When she was about to start at this school I told the teacher about this problem and what happened. She started being chatty since that day! So it wasn't anxiety that was bothering her, but teachers who didn't actually care and didn't provide much attention to the kids. This school is absolutely brilliant! If you want to be at work in peace that your child is perfectly safe and taken care of, then this school is for you! Teachers are so great, positive thinking, funny, and loving it.

It might be a small country school (linked with another) but the aspirations hopes and dreams of the staff and children are second to none. Both of my children attended this school and love it, they are both excelling with their learning and through great leadership their confidence has blossomed too!! Can’t recommend this school enough.
