Westhill Nursery at Ryde School

A beautiful Nursery in a beautiful setting with caring and attentive staff my child is thriving and loves it there. Going to this Nursery you feel like part of a family and I love all the traditional things they do with the children it certainly has been enriching for my daughter.

My daughter has been attending for a year and she is always so happy and excited to attend. It's a beautiful environment for them to navigate with so many resources and activities and very caring and nurturing staff. As parents it's very comforting to know you are dropping them off in the best hands possible and in a lovely environment where they can thrive.

Our son has always been treated with genuine care and respect, as an individual rather than just a number. We will miss the nursery so much when he starts school!

Absolutely fantastic nursery! The staff are incredibly friendly, supportive, and professional. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the environment is always clean and safe.

Children take part in a wide range of interesting and educational activities every day, which keeps them engaged and happy.

My daughter was very anxious about starting nursery, but thanks to the amazing support from the staff, she settled in within just a week. Now she loves it so much that she even asks to go back on Saturdays!

We recently moved from London over the holidays and luckily enough, we were thrilled they had a space for our son. He had no interaction with any child during the holidays and the transition was difficult for him. He really loved visiting the nursery and adapted well. The care, attention they have provided him has helped immensely. I could not imagine him anywhere else. He is happy, improving on all aspects, communicating more and learning everyday. We have seen a significant improvement. He continues to grow and aspire where he is. The environment is also welcoming, cosy, fun, interactive and essentially the right place for any child to be.

Overall, as a parent it is such a delight that we know that Spencer is having a wonderful time each day, in the care of people that really value his happiness and development and we never have to worry.

Communication is excellent and I feel that I know what is happening each day. Today I was happy to see her eating carrot sticks and hummus, something she doesn't do at home! After an injury at home resulting in a plaster cast , the team have gone out of their way to make learning accessible and safe for my child. Risk assessments were sorted quickly and efficiently and nothing has been a problem, giving my daughter normality.

I absolutely recommend Westhill & all the teachers.

The staff always go the extra mile, involving the children in lovely activities and inviting parents in for special events (the Nativity and Sports Day being highlights). There's a real sense of community and we are so grateful to have found Westhill.

Honestly, you couldn't ask for anything more from a nursery. My daughter is welcomed like family each session, and every effort was made to help her settle in when she was nervous initially. The nursery is beautiful and all of the staff are lovely. We feel very fortunate that our daughter is in such good hands and is getting the best possible start.

I'm so happy that my son is having such a wonderful experience at West Hill. It's such a nurturing environment, and I feel incredibly lucky that he gets to be part of a nursery with such fantastic, caring staff.

Lovely nursery, my little one is thriving there and is excited to go and see his friends and caregivers. The staff have been very supportive with settling him in and helping with toilet training. He has really enjoyed all the lovely activities which are put on each day and he has been able to try out lots of new creative activities which he proudly brings home to show us. I know he will be sad to leave when he starts school in September.

Westhill is absolutely outstanding in so many ways. The setting is the most beautiful I have been to and having put several kids through nursery and preschool and visited a few this is the best one I have seen. The communication and contact home is consistently brilliant as well. Not just in recording and uploading photos of what the kids are up to but also calling and checking in if my son is unwell or not been themselves. My son absolutely loves it there and I would recommend it to all parents.

Westhill has been as close to a perfect setting as we could have hoped for. It is warm and caring and the children there always look happy. The days are really well structured and there is a lot for the children to do, indoors and out. Every one on the team is doing a great job there and I am so happy our daughter is at nursery there.

Both our children have loved their time at Westhill, the care and support that is provided is unrivalled. It's warm and welcoming with the most inspirational spaces which clearly the children feel at home in. All the staff are kind, loving and diligent which feels so reassuring. After our first full year at Westhill Nursery with all the experiences we have gained we can truly say it is an amazing nursery. All staff involved in looking after the children are loving, patient and extremely competent. They manage to create a family-like atmosphere which gives the children confidence and strength. From a young age, children are taught in a very gentle and playful way. Even the transition to preschool is done in a buildup so the children feel comfortable with the change. Every step is well thought through in the interest of the child. Absolutely recommended.

Westhill feels like a home from home for my son, he loves going in every day and some afternoons doesn't want to leave (!). The rooms within the building and the gardens are absolutely beautiful, the stuff children's dreams are made of - and there is a great array of activities, which vary greatly week to week. There is lots of outside time, including rambles and trips to the main school site, and there is no fear about getting muddy! The app is kept well updated with what they've been up to, and there are also daily personal updates so you know when they've napped and what they've eaten which I've found very useful. I've been amazed with the advances he has made with his speech and emotional/personal development - which has a lot to do with the very caring team fully investing themselves in each child's journey and meeting them where they are at. The transition to reception is very impressive too, which although a big milestone, will be one he will be very excited about!

Amazing nursery, takes learning seriously but also keeps it fun! Two of our children have attended and we fully intend for our youngest daughter to start when she can. Only drawback is that it makes you want your children to continue at the private school!

Westhill Nursery is a fantastic, homely setting with friendly, caring staff and inspiring facilities. Both my children actively looked forward to attending each morning. The photos and debriefs on the app are informative and staff are always available to chat if needed. The journey from nursery into reception is well thought out and seamless. We couldn't have asked for more, highly recommend.
