The Green Giraffe Day Nursery - Penarth

Supportive and responsive management, wonderful and caring staff who are committed to our son's well-being and development, a varied and nutricious menu that our son loves, good implementation of montessori principles and lovely toys, books and learning resources - all contribute to our son loving to go to nursery and allow us to feel confident that he is receiving the best of care. He has formed strong bonds with staff and has made friends - we are very happy with our choice of nursery. Our only criticism is the lack of wraparound provision which will soon become an issue for us.

My daughter has attended this nursery for the past three years and has thoroughly enjoyed her time there. She regularly comes home with beautiful arts and crafts, excitedly tells me about the new nursery rhymes she has learned, and clearly benefits from the wide range of interactive play activities. I would highly recommend Green Giraffe Penarth to anyone looking for a reliable and nurturing nursery.

We love the green giraffe nursery Penarth. They make us feel so welcome and the new Manager Taia has been wonderful. We love it. We had some concerns with Marla with her medical needs, however, green giraffe penarth has covered that and we feel a lot more comfortable

Green Giraffe in Penarth is SOOO lovely. All of the staff are so friendly and caring. My little girl has come on leaps and bounds there and I have the staff to thank. She's there once a week and loves the activities there. Everything they do has the children at the heart of it and their development. The app is fab too so you can see how your child is progressing.

Brilliant staff and environment for our son to flourish. The staff are always attentive, take time to update us on our son's day via the app and during pick ups. The food is all organic and they cater to our son's vegetarian diet. He gets loads of time outdoors, via the playground and through trips to the park and local businesses. We couldn't recommend a better nursery!

Very friendly nursery setting. The ladies are looking after our little one very well, providing updates throughout the day and keeping us informed of any issue. For us, seeing our little one happy to go there and excited once is back home is the most important thing. We truly appreciate the Montessori learning method, the home made food freshly cooked every day and also the flexibility around planned holidays. Highly recommended.

We're so happy we decided to send our son to Green Giraffe in Penarth. He's loved it since the day he started in Feb this year. The staff genuinely care about him and he has learnt so much since attending. 100% recommend!

Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery, and often wants to stay for longer when we come to pick her up in the evenings. Her development has come on so much, both educationally and emotionally, and she has made some wonderful friends with whom she loves spending time. I never have any concerns about leaving her with the nursery, and only have good things to say about all the staff and facilities.

I cannot speak highly enough of the exceptional staff at Green Giraffe. My daughter receives amazing care, and it truly feels personal and the staff have taken the time to really know her. They are always available to answer any questions and engage in friendly conversations which always makes me feel so reassured. I am so grateful for the loving environment they provide for her.

Our daughter has been attending the Green Giraffe for about a year now, and we've been so impressed with the progress she's made during this time. The dedication and care of the wonderful staff are clearly reflected in her development at home. Everyone has been incredibly kind and nurturing, and we really appreciate the regular updates through the app, it's wonderful to see her daily and monthly progress documented so thoughtfully.

I've found Friendly staff, good eye contact, good teaching through play. Very convenient location. Good variety of games each day and the food is the best part as they provide the 5 a day during meals

Having an elder daughter who previously attended multiple different nurseries, we have a lot of other settings to compare against - and since day one have been impressed by the nurturing approach, lovely facilities, and gentle routines that Green Girraffe offer. However, it's been the dedication and professionalism of the carers who have really set our experience apart.

The staff are fantastic - they're caring, attentive, and take the time to build strong relationships with both the children and parents. It's clear that they really know and understand each child as an individual.

The food options are excellent, with healthy and varied meals that my little ones actually enjoy! But most importantly, my children are happy, settled, and excited to go. It's such a relief as a parent to know they're in a safe, nurturing, and fun environment where they can learn and grow.

Only have positive things to say about Green Giraffe Penarth - I am so grateful to have found a nursery which my daughter absolutely loves and where I feel confident and happy leaving her. The staff are amazing - super friendly and they've built such strong relationships with the kids. The facilities are lovely, food is great. We keep discovering things our daughter can do which we haven't taught her, so she must have learnt at nursery - our favourites being saying 'cheeeese' for a camera and pretending to sleep for the sleepy bunnies song. Always recommend Green Giraffe to parents looking for a nursery in Penarth.

The staff have always been attentive and catering. I get a real sense they know my child and what he needs and enjoys doing. Over all a very positive experience sending my child here. When needed we are kept informed and I feel the staff genuinely enjoy their job.

Such a wonderful nursery. The setting and staff are fantastic! My son loves going and learns so much from them. They do a variety of activities including lots of time in the garden! I cannot recommend enough!

From our first tour of the nursery we were settled on Green Giraffe, Penarth.

Our daughter has now been there since September 2024 and we couldn't have asked for more from a nursery.

The way the staff are with all of the children and the communication home has been excellent and we're really grateful of the daily updates and debriefs!

She's a baby so I understand that she'd be 'growing' anyway but, through time in nursery and all the activities they run, we see her thriving!

The staff at Green Giraffe in Penarth are truly exceptional. My daughter has been attending since March, and I can't express how much peace of mind it gives me to know she's in such caring hands. It's always clear at pick-up that she's had a wonderful day - she comes out happy and content. The team consistently takes the time to share thoughtful updates about her day, including how she was and what she enjoyed most, which I really appreciate.

Also the food they are fed is such great quality I know they're eating a range of fruit and veg and eating well!
