Toad Hall Wellingborough Nursery is in the heart of Glenvale Park, the new housing development in Wellingborough. The team are passionate about offering high quality early years childcare for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The nursery is made up of 3 large, bright and spacious rooms, each catering to a different age group which enables them to provide facilities and resources for the right age and stage of each child. The nursery is on one level with free-flow access to the beautiful large purpose-built garden.

Weekly activities are planned for the children around their interests, utilising their state-of-the-art facilities both inside and outside. An allotment is being added in the new year to the garden so the children can grow fresh food and learn all about the importance of healthy eating and nature.

All meals and snacks are prepared and cooked on-site by qualified chefs, and the nursery prides itself on sourcing only the best quality ingredients for the children to enjoy.

Absolutely love it. I was very, very picky when searching for nurseries, and it hasn't disappointed. Yes, it has some niggles, but on the whole, the staff are amazing, the new management team are honestly incredible, and we and our child couldn't be happier.

Our daughters been attending Toad Hall since she turned 1 in 09/24. She always seems happy when we pick her up.
She's developed really well from walking to speaking.
They do varied activities from painting/oat/cornflour play, to activities outside like climbing/water play.
They have a big garden, the
biggest we seen when viewing other places. They're in the process of improving the area by getting a bug farm, improving their planting area, & better/bigger mud kitchen, & more.
They have 3 menus in rotation which change around Summer & Winter. They do a vegetarian day once a week which I like.


They've been impacted by the national childcare staffing issue, but they're doing their best with what they have.
There's a new management team which should only improve this Nursery overall, including improved staff recognition.


H.O's communication could be better at times i.e. sharing fee changes. They've just started using an app. But this isn't a reflection of this specific Nursery location!

From the second we walked into the building we knew this is where we want our son to go. A brand new setting with absolutely fabulous and welcoming staff I am in no fear of my child's care. To top it off they got GOOD rating from OFSTED within the first year of opening. The menus are incredibly varied
and caters to all, I am very pleased to say my son loves it here he's been attending since September 2024 and has learned so much already. We also enjoy the parents parties/events every couple of months it's great to feel included.

I can't praise this nursery enough, my daughter is in preschool owls and my son is in little toads. They are both always so happy and excited to go to nursery, running in and up to their teachers. The facilities are excellent and staff are so kind. They have both come along a lot in their learning which

I am so pleased I chose this nursery for my daughter. She has been attending since September and absolutely loves being there. All staff are extremely professional, very friendly and approachable. There are so many activities on offer to her - sand, foam, paint etc. I really appreciate the time dedicated
to hand overs both at drop off and pick up. I feel very comfortable leaving her in this safe and nurturing environment.

My son joined recently after the nursery just opened and he absolutely loves it. He's always very excited to go in the mornings and makes dropping him off all the easier. My daughter joined in December last year when the new nursery opened. My heart fills with joy every day when I drop and pick her up. It's run by amazing management and the staff is very well trained. My daughter has recently joined this brand new nursery and she has settled in so well. From the get-go, all the staff have been so welcoming and assuring. As a parent, it is really reassuring to feel like all the staff know and care about her. You would never have known they've only just opened as it
already feels like one big family. The nursery is beautiful and a lot of thought has gone into the design and resources.

Hello, my name is Vicky, and I am the Covering Nursery Manager here at Toad Hall Wellingborough.


I have worked in the early years sector for over 12 years, during which time I have developed a strong passion for delivering high-quality early years education. In 2021, I graduated from the University of Bedfordshire with a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Education, which I completed alongside my professional role.


My vision is to create a high-quality early years setting where every child and family is at the heart of everything we do. I am committed to providing a warm, nurturing environment that supports children’s natural curiosity, builds confidence, and fosters a lifelong love of learning.


As a parent of young children myself, I truly understand how important it is to get the early years right. I am passionate about working in partnership with families, ensuring you feel supported, informed, and actively involved in your child’s early years journey with us at Toad Hall.
