Sunnyhill Day Nursery is in the heart of the community within the Children's Centre. It has a spacious open plan learning environment that leads itself directly onto a natural outdoor space.

The nursery is a safe and nurturing environment full of activities that provide awe and wonder and the experienced staff support and extend children's curiosity. The approach of 'learning by doing' enables children to have a can do attitude and build their own independent skills.         

The highly experienced staff team work in partnership with families and other professionals to ensure every child reaches their full potential.

The nursery offers flexible sessions to help parents with childcare, daily reports and an electronic journal is provided to each family, ensuring they feel in the 'moment' of their child's day.

This is a great nursery, they are always attending to the needs of each child and are very passionate about their development. Always looking at new ways to create fun learning activities for the children. I would recommend this nursery to all, they have great staff who are very approachable and helpful.

My son has settled in really well at nursery. He started in April and was shy and clingy towards me at drop-off only. His confidence has really come along and shows with his extensive vocabulary. The staff and management have done a really good job and I can see a big difference in his learning over
the last few months. He loves going in and runs in. Also, he has made lots of friends with the other children and staff as well. The key worker and other staff make sure I am up to date with his progress and the focus weeks on my son are a hit as the staff get to know his likes etc and ask for pictures. Then they plan activities according to his interests. I like the fact that the nursery sends regular updates with pictures of my son playing. My son eats well at nursery and has learnt how to eat by himself which he did not do before he started. The app the nursery staff use is good as I can see what my child has eaten, application of sun cream, nappy change etc. The nursery is fab.

This is an excellent nursery! I have recommended this nursery to a lot of mums that are local, The staff are wonderful and go above and beyond for my son, my son is really happy here, it's such a clean nursery. The staff do a wonderful job and really are committed to offering the best service and care.

Before starting nursery my son had difficulty communicating. Since being at nursery he has come a long way, he is talking and communicating with more and more words every day, he even has friends that he plays along with. The staff are amazing and have helped us along the way. We personally couldn't
recommend Sunnyhill Day Nursery enough. The meals are brilliant such a healthy choice. So once again great job to the team.

So, we were looking for a nursery for our son to go to as my husband just started full time employment from being self-employed and I am currently off work and undergoing a series of surgeries. We initially were directed to the branch closest to our home address but they had no availability but luckily
for us Sunnyhill Day Nursery did. From day one all staff were so welcoming to my husband as I was in hospital at the time and he had to arrange for our son to start and settled in without my help; again the staff were all on hand to make sure our son (who has extra needs) was well cared for.
When we first started they asked what was one of the things we would most want to see our son achieve by the end of this year; as he is nonverbal we said, we would like him to be able to talk. Not a chatter box but just say words and I can proudly say thanks to the amazing staff here he can now speak. I wish I could name them in my review as they all deserve that recognition. Thank you so much.

My girl settled in this nursery very fast. The teachers looked after my child very well. They do a variety of activities and my daughter always talks about that, and she is happy to come to nursery now. The teachers are approachable, caring and welcoming. Thank you so much for taking care of her.

Brilliant nursery! Our son joined in January. Although anxious at first, we are so pleased with how well he has settled in here. The management team have been very supportive throughout the process.
We are impressed by the passion and commitment the staff demonstrate, they care about supporting our
child's individual needs and his development, which has helped build his confidence and bond.
The staff communicate with us about our child's progress daily, giving us the confidence to know he is well cared for and is safe.
The variety of activities available keeps our child focused and engaged.
We are delighted to be a part of the Sunnyhill Day Nursery family and would recommend it.

My child started at Sunnyhill Day Nursery this year and has settled straight away we were very anxious as to how he would settle but the staff have been fantastic.
They share all things with us and they communicate all the things they will be doing via the app they use.
We can’t thank the nursery
team enough and are so grateful we found such a nice caring environment for our child to go to.

Excellent nursery! The whole process from the first phone call, show round, settling in sessions and subsequent sessions have been outstanding. The manager, deputy manager and key workers are all so helpful and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. They have explained the nursery set-up and procedures really
well and put me and my child at ease instantly. I was able to take my child to the first settling-in session and I was able to meet his key worker and we filled in a sheet with information all about my child and things they like and dislike. Whilst this was happening my child was able to play and interact with the other children and key workers and thoroughly enjoyed it.
The nursery uses an App which is new to us but is absolutely brilliant. We have had updates about what has been eaten for breakfast/snack/dinner and how much has been eaten. They have written out detailed observations and added photos showing what my child has been doing during the day. This has opened up lots of discussion. Thank you.

My son started nursery during the start of January and has settled in really well! He enjoys attending nursery. The staff are very friendly. I am always updated on my son’s daily activities, and my son has access to various activities throughout the week, which he has been enjoying a lot.

My son started this nursery in January 2024 and settled in within no time because of the cooperation of the staff. Earlier my son used to go to some other nursery but he was unable to adjust himself there and then unfortunately I had to drop him off from that nursery and decided to opt for Sunnyhill
nursery. I told everything to the staff and they assured me that he would settle here and the same happened. I am very happy to send my child here because all his fear of school is gone now and it all happened because of the teachers. The staff here are fully trained, experienced, understanding and polite to handle all sorts of children so it is the best nursery for my child according to me.

I am super happy my little boy goes to this nursery, the staff have been brilliant with him, I used to struggle leaving him in previous playgroups but now he's happy to start nursery every morning and the staff are super reassuring. They keep me updated all day on the app with praise and meals and photos
and learning activities which I think is such a lovely idea. Great for pickups as I can talk to him about his morning activities and meals and he's always so excited to tell me, he also loves the staff there and has made some lovely playgroup friends, the nursery staff also made me feel very comfortable with the hours I chose to put him in also reassured me if it didn't work we could change to something that would suit him better. He's continued to progress every week and now loves going to nursery 15 hours a week. I would highly recommend for parents to send their children here, Lovely nursery! Thank you.

My son started in November and has come on leaps and bounds since starting, he walks in confidently when he attends and the staff are absolutely amazing with him and all go above and beyond. I also feel that my mind is at ease when he is at nursery, knowing that I get regular updates about him throughout
his time there. I couldn't recommend this nursery enough.

Great nursery, my daughter settled in very well and very happy going. Very clean place. I'm very pleased. Very helpful. Good with diet. My daughter gets very excited when she goes. I do recommend the nursery.

My child began settling in sessions at the end of November and very quickly adjusted to the nursery. This is down to the lovely staff members, they ensured he settled in without a problem. He loves going to nursery, he loves playing and interacting with the staff members. I am very pleased with sending
my child to this nursery as I find the staff members absolutely amazing. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and happy and the same applies to what they do for the children. It is also a beautiful nursery, it is very clean and there are plenty of different areas for children to explore. I would highly recommend the nursery to everyone.

Our girl has been going there from October and she seems to enjoy it. (Too young to tell us about it). Staff is very kind and friendly, give updates about time spent in the nursery. We feel at ease leaving our little girl there as staff is fully capable of looking after her. Would recommend.

I have found that my son has come on leaps and bounds since starting nursery, with his words and learning, and is a different child since starting nursery. Before couldn't leave him alone to go the the toilet etc. without screams and cries and now I can. He was quite a whingey and whiney baby before
nursery and now so much better. I can get things done while he watches whereas couldn't before and I put that down to nursery, so thank you so much.
