Kids Planet Midford Road

My grandson attends Midford Road Nursery and loves it. He always loves to tell me about his day, the trips to the allotment, woods and bus to town. He seems very happy and settled. The team and management are always so welcoming and informative.

Our son is so happy at Kids Planet Midford Road. We are so pleased that he is there. The staff go above and beyond to make him and the other children feel supported. His Key Worker is so caring and attentive to his needs. He enjoys going to the pre-school "Power Up" sessions to learn, and it is standing him in really good stead to start Reception next September. He regularly goes with the other children on trips, whether that is to the local allotment, or a bus trip into Bath. We are grateful for the detailed handovers we receive at pick-up, where his Key Worker will explain what he has been doing that day. The Famly app is updated daily with information such as the activities our son has taken part in and what he has eaten (and how much).

We're big fans of this nursery. Our son thrives here and the nursery shares our values around encouraging independence and nutrition. He is 4 now and has been there since 1. In that time he has done so many different things: ballet, trips to the woods, to the theatre, cooking, power up (pre-school learning sessions), etc., and he loves all of it. The nursery supports friendships, it's sweet how the kids welcome each other each morning and wave goodbye to each other when they leave. It helps our shy boy be a little more brave when going to nursery in the morning. Last year we made the decision to delay his school start and the nursery manager and pre-school room team went above and beyond to help us apply for this (successfully) and were flexible to accommodate us needing another year at the nursery. This isn't something we've experienced with other settings and we're so grateful for how supportive they were.

Our daughter has attended the nursery for over three years, and we have been really happy with our experience. She settled in well when she first started and has always been made to feel comfortable, happy and cared for. The staff have been amazing throughout her time there, and she has built really strong relationships with them. It is lovely to see how much she enjoys being there and how excited she is to go to nursery each day. Communication with us as parents has also been very good, with regular updates and information provided through the app. We have always felt kept up to date with what she has been doing and how she is getting on. We would happily recommend the nursery to other parents.

We couldn't be happier with the support our son has received at Midford Road Nursery. From the start, I've felt he has been understood and supported. The nursery has been amazing in meeting his additional needs and have worked closely with us and the professionals involved in his care. Their support throughout the EHCP process was invaluable, and they played a significant role in helping us secure the right support for him. We always feel confident that he is safe, happy and well cared for. We've seen huge progress in his development, confidence and independence during his time here. The staff are caring, always approachable and dedicated to their roles, and communication has always been good. The only minor downside is the lack of parking to the nursery, but that's beyond the nursery's control. We have done and will continue to recommend this nursery to other families.

We absolutely love Kids planet, Midford Road. Our daughter has just left to go to school and she had the most wonderful few years here. The communication between nursery and families is brilliant! The staff are all lovely, caring and friendly and we have felt so happy with our choice of nursery.

Our son joined Midford Road when we moved to Bath in 2024. This was quite a transition for him as he was already well settled in his previous nursery setting but he had absolutely no issues in moving over and this was entirely due to the caring and engaging nature of all the staff. As soon as we first visited we knew this was the nursery for us, the setting was captivating and inviting, even I wanted to explore all the toys! I was super impressed with the range and frequency of outings, the attention to healthy and independent eating habits and the choice of activities that went beyond what other nurseries offered. He was well prepared for his transition to primary school thanks to the incredible work that the staff put in to familiarise the children with more structured learning. We can't recommend the nursery and the team there more!

nothing was ever to much for this amazing team..the lengths they go to to make sure your child is happy and settled is just fab.

Overall, we are very pleased with Kids Planet and the care they provide. It is a lovely place for kids to learn, play and grow!

The staff and level of safeguarding is exceptional. I know my child is safe at the nursery and his learning and development is being monitored. The categories I didn't leave 5 stars for is based on limited understanding - I feel there is always room for improvement so have scored based on this.

This is a wonderful nursery which offers an impressive range of activities, trips, learning opportunities and free play. I have two children attending here, one in the baby room and one in the over 2s. Both of them are love going to nursery and are well looked after by their key workers and other staff throughout the day. My older child especially loves the Power Up pre school learning sessions. Feedback about the children's days at pick up is always very detailed and the app is used very effectively to communicate with parents throughout the day too: all necessary information regarding meals and naps etc are uploaded in a timely fashion, and photos and observations are uploaded daily to inform us of the activities that have taken place. The management team are also incredibly helpful and friendly, it really feels like they know me and my children so well and treat us as one big family. I can't recommend Kid's Planet highly enough.

My son has had such an amazing time at this nursery, they have been supportive towards his growth, including understanding his personal needs and building a trusting relationship with my son. All the teachers are extremely friendly and positive, very welcoming and comfortable environment for young children. They have lots of trips out exploring which is wonderful and exciting for the children as well as building confidence as a group.

The management team is outstanding and has clearly created a positive, supportive culture for staff. The excellent staff retention speaks volumes and is, in our view, a testament to the leadership and supportive environment they have fostered. We feel very fortunate to have our children attend this nursery and would highly recommend it to other families. Thank you ALL!

The nursery has been an amazing environment for nurturing and caring for our little girl from day one. We have always had fantastic communication from the enthusiastic and personable team. Our daughter loves her time in power-up, gently preparing her for the transition to school and has made some lovely friends along the way.

We are really happy with the nursery. The staff is very caring and our child loves spending time there. Very responsive management team as well for any queries. The power up sessions for the older kids are really good where they teach reading and writing.

This nursery is just magical!

Such a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff - you can see that they all genuinely love children and want them to enjoy their time at nursery. My daughter particularly loves the dance classes on a Monday - such a treat!

I really wouldn't hesitate recommending this nursery, it's just fabulous.

Lovely warm and welcoming staff. A beautiful and unusual setting with lots to explore. Super eye-catching and interesting. The care my daughter receives is of a high standard. She loves her key worker. The manager is professional and very friendly. My daughter very much enjoys her sessions and looks forward to attending each week. Overall highly recommended nursery!
