Kids Planet Midford Road

This is a wonderful nursery which offers an impressive range of activities, trips, learning opportunities and free play. I have two children attending here, one in the baby room and one in the over 2s. Both of them are love going to nursery and are well looked after by their key workers and other staff throughout the day. My older child especially loves the Power Up pre school learning sessions. Feedback about the children's days at pick up is always very detailed and the app is used very effectively to communicate with parents throughout the day too: all necessary information regarding meals and naps etc are uploaded in a timely fashion, and photos and observations are uploaded daily to inform us of the activities that have taken place. The management team are also incredibly helpful and friendly, it really feels like they know me and my children so well and treat us as one big family. I can't recommend Kid's Planet highly enough.

My son has had such an amazing time at this nursery, they have been supportive towards his growth, including understanding his personal needs and building a trusting relationship with my son. All the teachers are extremely friendly and positive, very welcoming and comfortable environment for young children. They have lots of trips out exploring which is wonderful and exciting for the children as well as building confidence as a group.

The management team is outstanding and has clearly created a positive, supportive culture for staff. The excellent staff retention speaks volumes and is, in our view, a testament to the leadership and supportive environment they have fostered. We feel very fortunate to have our children attend this nursery and would highly recommend it to other families. Thank you ALL!

The nursery has been an amazing environment for nurturing and caring for our little girl from day one. We have always had fantastic communication from the enthusiastic and personable team. Our daughter loves her time in power-up, gently preparing her for the transition to school and has made some lovely friends along the way.

We are really happy with the nursery. The staff is very caring and our child loves spending time there. Very responsive management team as well for any queries. The power up sessions for the older kids are really good where they teach reading and writing.

My son has been attending this nursery for preschool since September 2025 and I have nothing but praise for the setting. The activities are fantastic, offering many play activities as well as regular trips, ballet lessons, gym sessions and cooking/baking. The preschool sessions engage my son and help him learn how to work with others while giving him a thirst for learning. The staff at this nursery are all amazing, giving thorough handovers each day and offering so much support. It is clear they really know and care for my son.

Such a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff - you can see that they all genuinely love children and want them to enjoy their time at nursery. My daughter particularly loves the dance classes on a Monday - such a treat!

I really wouldn't hesitate recommending this nursery, it's just fabulous.

Our boy is currently in the baby room. We love this nursery for him. The values of staff and management align very much with ours - exploratory play, promoting healthy mindsets around eating, and creating a safe “hygge” (cosy) space that feels like home for the children. They use an app to update us on his naps/mealtimes and we get photos of him. This is invaluable to me. All essentials are provided by the nursery and food served comes from their local farm.

The nursery has been beyond accommodating as our son has potential food intolerances, meaning different meals and needing to be held and comforted more. I cannot thank the baby room staff enough for being so responsive to his needs.

There’s a focus on outdoor play, and whilst the outside space is not a planted garden, the nursery ensures there are trips to the local allotment and nearby green spaces.

Lovely warm and welcoming staff. A beautiful and unusual setting with lots to explore. Super eye-catching and interesting. The care my daughter receives is of a high standard. She loves her key worker. The manager is professional and very friendly. My daughter very much enjoys her sessions and looks forward to attending each week. Overall highly recommended nursery!

If you’re looking for a small home away from home nursery this is definitely the place. All the staff are brilliant, kind and understanding and communication is excellent. All staff members are there if you need to have a talk especially the manager. Their ethos around their approach to learning is brilliant too, very much child led in a safe and gentle way

I am so pleased to have found this delightful nursery for my daughter! The Power of Play has a truly homely feel, with so much thought put into every little detail of the spaces, all with the children’s comfort in mind. This is the only nursery that I was happy to send my daughter into!

Such a lovely setting, The Power of Play Nursery has a warm, cosy feel to it and the staff give exactly the same feel too, they are all so lovely and truly caring. My daughter has just moved here and on her second day she waved me off to work and already loves going. They do such lovely things here too, like making salt dough, making snacks etc, the garden area is also fantastic. I'm so pleased I found this nursery setting.
