Christ Church Nursery, Preschool, and Out-of-School Club offers high-quality childcare and early years education for children from newborn to 5 years old. With a brand-new baby room for little ones aged 0–2 and a bright, engaging preschool room for older children, the setting provides a safe and nurturing space where every child can play, learn, and thrive.

Each room is thoughtfully designed to reflect children’s interests, filled with exciting opportunities for creativity, exploration, and discovery. Regular forest school sessions help children connect with nature and build their confidence, and weekly visits to the school prepare little ones for a smooth transition into Reception when the time comes.

Outdoors, children can enjoy a spacious, secure garden with grassy play zones, a mud kitchen, construction and digging areas, a fruit and vegetable patch, and a special bike track for developing physical skills. There is also a sheltered outdoor play area so that children can have fun in all weathers.

The experienced and caring team at Christ Church are passionate about supporting every child’s development, celebrating their achievements, and working closely with families to ensure each child’s individual needs are met.

For school-aged children, the Out-of-School Club offers fun, flexible wraparound care from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., including baking, games, crafts, and sports activities.

S4YC @ Christ Church Preschool & Out of School Club is amazing and has a lovely, warm and inviting culture, which was really important to us when choosing a preschool.
The staff are very patient, kind, caring and supportive.
The new app is fantastic. I like being able to see pictures and all the
updates on it and also reminders from the lovely manager in the app.
My son absolutely loves it and runs in every day.
We are so grateful to the team at Christ Church Preschool.

My little girl moved to Christ Church from a nursery setting when she turned two, which I was really nervous about but honestly, the best thing I did, she has come on leaps and bounds and absolutely loves it here!
It was a massive change for her, and the staff have been great, she has formed lovely
relationships with them; they have supported her with potty training, helped her with her speech, gave up her dummy and helped her develop, which I am grateful for!
They go above and beyond every week, and I can’t fault them at all - keep doing what you're doing because it really is amazing - thank you!

My son has recently started at Christ Church, and as a first-time mum, I was apprehensive about starting him at a new preschool. He has been at a nursery for 6 months; however, he, unfortunately, suffers from epilepsy and a speech and language delay, so the thought of moving him to a new preschool gave
me a great deal of anxiety; however, I was made to feel supported and welcomed at Christ Church by the manager and her team, and my son has settled in amazingly well! My son always comes home happy and excited, which makes me feel like he’s enjoying his time there! I would certainly recommend to others this wonderful preschool!

Christ Church is a lovely setting. They have been so supportive of my son and are patient when it comes to his needs day to day. All staff are friendly and lovely to chat with. The app has been a great addition as we enjoy seeing pictures of our son during the day and what he has got up to in preschool.
He really enjoys his time at preschool and especially loves playing outside on the bikes and with the wooden train set too. The SENCO is the best it’s been for a while since the new manager has taken over and they are really supporting our son with the support he really needs to help him develop and be ready for school. They have supported him in toilet training too.
Communication has been great with the new app and we love being able to send in photos of what we have been up to over the weekends and half terms.

Lovely team at S4YC Christchurch, they always make you feel welcome. They are very patient, kind and thoughtful. The outside area is brilliant, with lots of fun ways for the kids to explore. The new app is fantastic, I’m so glad it’s been introduced. I love being able to see pictures and updates of
what’s going on in the school with my child.

This is a lovely, friendly and welcoming setting. My son loves it here. They are so accommodating - when he broke his leg last year and needed a bit of extra support moving around, nothing was too much trouble. Communication is great, with regular parents evenings when we can discuss his development.
They have been really supportive with toilet training too.

My son is three years old and has attended S4YC Christchurch since September 2023. He has always enjoyed his time there and has been happy and settled from the beginning. From a parent’s perspective I can see great changes have been implemented since around the start of the year and the parental partnership
has definitely improved. They use an app now so you can see observations of your child throughout the day and the teachers use this to communicate messages. The staff are lovely and my son has a good group of friends and always enjoys his day.

I can’t thank everyone enough at Christ Church enough for the time they are putting in with my son, he’s such a sensitive child and they all seem to really understand him and how to navigate the best way with him (usually truck related). I loved him coming home and teaching me all about Makaton signs
he has learnt and hearing how he’s been getting involved in other activities (other than truck building lol). We have been doing writing at home recently and his letters and copying my words have been fantastic, so nice to see he’s been practising, thank you all again.

My son is very settled in the setting, they have recently added a new app which I am very excited to see my son's progress and the fun he has while at preschool.
