Opening in 2026, Kingsley Explorers marks an exciting new development in early years education in Royal Leamington Spa. The nursery will initially welcome children aged 2–4, with plans to extend provision to babies from six months in the near future. Operating for 51 weeks of the year, Kingsley Explorers is designed to offer families greater flexibility while introducing young children to the distinctive Kingsley approach to learning at an earlier stage, within a nurturing setting that supports healthy early development.

At the heart of Kingsley Explorers is a belief that the earliest stages of childhood should encourage curiosity, confidence and a sense of adventure. Guided by The Kingsley Way - a philosophy centred on kindness, striving for excellence, creating opportunity and building a strong community - these principles shape every aspect of the nursery experience. Children grow within a caring and supportive environment that encourages creativity, develops social and emotional skills, and builds the foundations needed for future learning.

Daily experiences are carefully designed to help children explore the world around them through play, imagination and hands-on discovery. Through engaging activities and guided exploration, children build confidence, develop independence and begin to cultivate a lasting enthusiasm for learning during these formative years.

Situated on the ground floor of Kingsley Preparatory School and part of the Warwick Schools Foundation, Kingsley Explorers benefits from the expertise and resources of an established educational environment. The nursery also offers families in the Leamington community the opportunity to begin a Kingsley education from the very earliest stage of a child’s journey.

Our daughter has absolutely loved her time at Little Aviators! From the moment she started, we've been incredibly impressed by the care, attention, and joyful learning environment the team provides. Every day she comes home full of stories and smiles, and it's clear that she feels safe, supported, and
excited to learn.
We're so thankful for the dedication and warmth of the staff-Little Aviators is a truly special place, and we couldn't be happier with the experience so far.
Thank you for creating such a wonderful start to her learning journey

Excellent care to children, great social and educational development. My child has grown enormously in confidence. Forest school is wonderful and they even take them swimming which has been thoroughly enjoyed despite being worried about swimming before we started.

This is an outstanding, unique nursery/school and I praise it to everyone we meet. My daughter was at another nursery which was fine but we transferred her to Little Aviators at The Kingsley Preparatory School when she was three and quickly noticed a huge difference. She used to cry at drop off at the
old nursery but now at Little Aviators, she runs in immediately. She talks about how much she loves it continually. Importantly, the staff at Little Aviators are incredible. They give every child so much care and attention and are always planning wonderful trips and classroom activities on top of Spanish, swimming, and amazing forest schools. Another thing we love is how welcomed our daughter feels throughout the school. Every single staff member and student seems to know her name. There are always lots of smiley faces saying hello. Altogether, it has been the most wonderful experience and it makes such a difference knowing how happy and cared for she is every day. We signed up for Reception the moment we could.

You couldn't wish for a better start for your child, the Little Aviators at The Kingsley Preparatory School environment is so nurturing and supportive. It combines excellent teaching with a home like feel making the transition into schooling a positive experience and one in which my daughter thrived.

We have had a wonderful experience. Our girls are thriving in such a supportive nurturing environment. The facilities are brilliantly set up to encourage curiosity and imagination which in turn has really influenced their development. We would highly recommend Little Aviators as a preschool as the structure,
swimming lessons and forest school are perfect preparation for school whilst also keeping things fun.

Our daughter was going to preschool that was outstanding in Warwick and we changed it to Little Aviators at The Kingsley Preparatory School. After just a few days, we noticed a change in her behaviour. She was more calm, kind and well-behaved. There never were big problems with her but the change was
quite positively significant. She also improved in writing her name within a month. She learned writing very well and started reading within half year after she started reception. Highly recommend. It can be really difficult to find a better place for your child. We are very happy that we can give her the opportunity to be a part of The Kingsley community.

Our daughter has been at Little Aviators for just over a year and the change in her has been incredible. She absolutely loves going to Kingsley and is excited to go in every day. I feel it is the perfect setting for preparation for school. She is pushed in subjects where she excels and supported in
areas where she needs help. It is a happy, nurturing, caring environment to learn in and I am so pleased we started her there as soon as she turned 3. She has made some really lovely friends and has so many play dates and parties! One happy little girl.

Little Aviators at The Kingsley School in general is a fantastic environment for my little girl who loves to be there. Her confidence, independence, ability and emotional intelligence have flourished and I can’t thank the manager and two staff members in particular and the teaching assistants enough.
They truly love the children, the school and their commitment to developing young minds is second to none.
I can’t recommend the school enough.

This is a marked improvement to our previous childcare setting. The staff, in particular, have been really brilliant and we have seen great improvement in development since joining. Lots of activities, swimming and forest school have been welcome additions to the week.
A really great place that you
won’t regret coming to!

My daughter absolutely loved her time in Little Aviators at Kingsley. We feel it was integral in preparing her for Reception this year. Little Aviators preschool has a strong focus on academics but the staff are very gentle and kind with the children at the same time. We are grateful to have found this
wonderful school community.

We've been so pleased with Kingsley since our son started there in September. He came from a much bigger nursery where it was clear he was a bit lost and the smaller class size and nurturing environment here have been perfect for him. We've been impressed by how the older children always look out for
the little ones - there's very much a family feel to the school. There's a lot of emphasis on learning through play and encouraging the children to enjoy exploring new things. Each term the preschool class joins the wider prep school in focusing on a particular topic, with activities and class trips designed to support their learning. It's been lovely to see our son come home and tell us with enthusiasm, what he's learnt that day. He's grown so much in confidence and independence over the last few months. It's allayed many of our worries about him starting school - it's good to know he can continue into Reception in a setting that is familiar to him and where he's already very happy.

Both our sons have flourished in their confidence since attending Little Aviators and we attribute this to the strong foundation of support they have received under the class leader's care.
My children are known at Kingsley for the unique individuals that they are - the staff have built upon their
strengths and supported them to grow in their areas of difficulty.
Under the head of prep's leadership the EYFS team is particularly strong and provides outstanding care and opportunities for play and development, including swimming, forest school, music and Spanish. They also create awe and wonder for the children by providing them with opportunities to meet with external visitors and attend off-site excursions.
We particularly look forward to school-based celebrations, which provides us with the opportunity to see our children as part of the wider school community.
Having been part of the Kingsley community for nearly 5 years, we highly recommend Little Aviators.

After viewing the school on their open day, I knew my daughter should be in the lovely environment/setting so we moved her across from another local nursery setting. We were confident I wanted her to attend the years of schooling here. The change in my daughter is beautiful to see. Can’t thank you all
enough. Everyone who works at the school is a team/family, I’m excited for her future there.
Very very happy.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.835)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.835) out of 10 for Kingsley Explorers is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.9 out of 5 from 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.932 for Kingsley Explorers is calculated as follows: ( (55 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 59 Ratings = 4.932
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 3.903 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Kingsley Explorers is based on 5 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.5
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 number of registered child places is 12.4. 5 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.4 = 0.403
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
