First Day Nursery Hackney

Our twins have been at First Day for almost a year and we couldn't be happier. The staff is lovely and caring and always happy to answer questions. The menus are balanced and the kids eat well. The reports we read at the end of each day are thorough and give us a very good overview of what the kids do during the day - and they do so much! Every day different activities are organised and the kids get to socialise and play together. Nothing forced on the kids though. If they want to spend time alone they can have quiet play by themselves. Accidents are reported correctly and timely. Most of all, our kids are so happy to go in every day and we can see the relationships they have developed with the staff.

Great nursery, full of good and caring staff that do an excellent job of creating a positive environment for children. Multiple outdoor spaces which is rare for a nursery located in London. Rooms are also spacious with clearly defined capacity, so there is ample space of kids to run and play. Management is communicative and involved. Our child has seen excellent development and growth whilst at First Day and is very happy attending.

We've had a fantastic experience with First Day so far. Choosing this nursery was one of the best decisions we've made. Our baby started here at just 6 months and was given expertly tailored attention and care right away. The staff are absolutely wonderful and really get to know your child and their interests, needs, areas of development, etc. Our boy always has a smile on his face when he sees them in the morning. They also provide charming reports and photos of all the varied activities the little ones get up to during the day. I feel he's learning so many new skills and having great experiences every time he's there, which is so reassuring as a parent.

My daughter loves going to nursery every day. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, and she loves spending time with them. They have excellent well thought out activities for the kids each day which provides wonderful enrichment. The food is always healthy and well planned.

When our daughter was in baby room we had regular discussions with staff about her development and things we can do at home and at nursery to help progress. They were incredibly sweet in helping her engage while she was still learning to walk (well after her peers).

She has made many friends at nursery and we have already signed up our second to attend too.

Our son has settled in well at First Day (been there 9 months now). We feel confident he's very well looked after. The staff in the baby room and rising toddlers room seem very experienced and invested in our son, always giving us updates on his funny quirks from the day. The daily updates and photos we get on the app are great. The kids get lots of play out in the courtyard on the bikes and slide in the morning, and the afternoons are spent inside with activities like painting and play dough which he loves. They often do themed activities and crafts around events such as Easter etc. There's a nature garden out the back that I wished they used more, perhaps it's more for the older toddlers. They very occasionally take them on excursions to the park/young v&a but that's something I wish they did more of. Overall our son seems very happy there.

We are really happy with First Day Nursery. The space is beautiful designed and invites the children to play together but also independently. Staff are very friendly and our little one loves her key worker very much!

Overall, we're very happy with the nursery and feel confident knowing our child is in such caring and supportive hands.

Our 14 month old daughter has been at nursery here for 3 months so far, and we've had a very positive experience! I love the daily updates and photos received, and that I can check via the app throughout the day how she is eating/sleeping. I think our daughter is enjoying herself as she seems quite taken with a few staff members. I also appreciate the variety of meals offered.

We placed our daughter here at 9 months when our neighbor recommended their staff and outdoors space. Until we visited this nursery we had preferred a different one in the neighborhood. We are so glad we made this decision. Daily detailed updates, individualized attention towards our daughter, great activities and food. The families are also nice. This nursery is professionally run and also has heart!

We love First Day!! I really could not recommend this nursery enough!! My toddler has been attending here for about a year and the care and attention has been amazing. They have dealt with all his allergies amazingly and their communication is always on point. The staff genuinely seem to love taking care of him and provide the sweetest updates of his daily activities. We trust First Day implicitly with our toddlers care and really couldn't have transitioned back to work as seamlessly without them.

An amazing nursery with a truly great staff. Our boy spent 4 fantastic years here, grew so much, and loved every day. We feel so lucky that we made the choice to send him here, and we are going to miss the staff so much. Thank you to the whole team for making it such a safe and happy place.

My daughter started at 11 months old and struggled initially. The staff were so caring and persistent. Now she is nearly 3 and a half and she loves it. First Day has helped hugely with her confidence and independence. We are so sad our time with the nursery is coming to an end, but our daughter is ready for big girl school large due to the skills and dedication of the First Day team xxx

I cannot speak highly enough about this nursery. I was extremely nervous about sending my daughter to nursery but I need not have worried. She settled in brilliantly and a year on she has progressed so much and loves going to nursery every week. When I pick her up she speaks about her teachers the entire way home. All of the staff are wonderful. You can tell that they genuinely care for the children and enjoy being around them. The food is nutritious and varied and gets prepared fresh on site daily. They go on cute little trips out and go outside to play every day. My daughter has learnt so much from being here. 10/10!

Our child has been attending First Day Nursery for the past six months, and we've been very happy with the care he receives. The food is healthy and well-balanced, and he enjoys mealtimes. We particularly appreciate the little personal touches, like the card the staff made for grandad's birthday. Communication is clear and consistent - we're kept informed about his day, activities, and progress, and the staff are always approachable whenever we have questions. Overall, we're very pleased and feel confident leaving our child in their care.

Our child has been attending First Day Nursery for four months and he has really blossomed since starting at nursery. The staff are all so friendly and I can see his confidence growing every week. We love talking to the staff at the end of each day and hearing about his day. One of the reasons we chose this nursery was the outdoor spaces available, and we have been very happy to see that they go outside every day to play. Our child eats well at nursery, and tries a huge variety of foods. We love the app and the photo updates. It's the highlight of our day!

We are very happy with the nursery. Our daughter is now 18 months old and she has been going to the nursery for 5 months. She's loving it. The care takers are professional and also very kind. Our daughter bonded with them very quickly. The facilities are also great. Overall it's a very nice place!

We have both our children at First Day Nursery, and they are both very happy. The nursery has two outdoor spaces, which they go to every day, and the food is now cooked in-house which they seem to enjoy thoroughly! We love the app, which is used for good communication from the managers, and daily updates from their key workers filled with photos and caring updates of what they have been up to. Sometimes they take trips to the local playground, and recently even visits to the children's museum. The nursery has a lot of love and care to give, especially in the last year. Highly recommend!
