Ducklings Childcare

We are so happy we chose Ducklings for my Son. He has been going for about 6 Months now, with him joining at 11 months old. I feel comfortable that my son is well looked after and that the staff know him well. He is more than happy to reach for the doorbell and jump out of my arms into the Practioner's when we arrive. He clearly has a great time at nursery, and the Practioner's are brilliant. The communication is always good too.

We lovely nursery! She always comes home very happy! I can see her developing so much since she started! The staff are always friendly and helpful especially when we had a tricky start to starting nursery. I would like to see the children going outside when at nursery. I feel the baby room are not taken out as much as the other rooms, especially now with it getting a bit warmer. I also feel it will help when spread of illnesses if they could get outside more.

We absolutely love Ducklings. Every morning, our daughter is so excited when she realises where we're going, and I truly believe that this is due to the fantastic care that she receives here. The food is excellent, and I know she'll have received a balanced meal when she comes home. The staff communicate so well, and I always feel informed. We can't rate them highly enough.

She has settled in really well and all staff have been very supportive. She seems to be enjoying all the activities and being around the other children.

Our 3-year-old absolutely loves going to nursery every day, and that excitement says it all. We've seen such a positive impact on her personality - she's becoming more confident, curious and expressive.

The daily updates on the app, including photos, activities and even what she's eaten, give us so much peace of mind. It feels wonderful to stay connected to her day and watch her little milestones.

We're truly grateful to the team for creating such a caring, fun and engaging environment for her. Highly recommend this nursery to any parent looking for a place where their child can learn, grow and feel genuinely happy.

Our little boy has been at Ducklings for a couple of months now. All the staff in the baby room are so friendly and have helped him settled in as well as reassuring us. We get regular updates on the app so can see he's having a great time, doing lots of varied activities & learning so much. He enjoys the food & naps well. At home he would only fall asleep if we rock him, the ladies kept with our methods & routine & can now get him to sleep really well without rocking. The longer monthly updates on his development are lovely & really show they've got to know him well.

Ducklings is an excellent nursery/pre-school setting. The children are very lucky to have the use of the huge garden and facilities. The staff are kind and caring.

I could not be happier with our experience with Ducklings. Since starting at the setting, my little boy has thrived and I can see his development in both learning and social skills. All the staff are caring and provide a wide range of activities including helping my child prepare for school next year. I couldn't recommend Ducklings enough!

We're extremely happy to have our twin girls at Ducklings. They have developed great relationships with their key workers and peers. The activities are varied and well organised and play to the girls' strengths. A brilliant place to help your children grow into young people prepared for school.

All the staff are lovely, very caring. A great setting and fab garden area. Nice to have home-cooked fresh lunches!

Our son loves going to Ducklings as he is surrounded by calm, caring staff. He really enjoys all of the activities and we feel he has grown and developed in so many ways since joining!

We are so pleased with everything we've encountered so far; we already signed up our next child to attend next year!!

My little girl is 16 months and in the baby room. Ducklings has a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The staff are very personable and excellent at making the babies feel comfortable. My daughter has settled in exceptionally well despite being very attached to me and i am very grateful to them for their care and attention. The activities are well planned out and engaging and the feedback on the app is consistent and helpful. I look forward to watching her flourish in this environment.

I currently have one child at this nursery and I am pregnant expecting another who I have already signed up! I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Ducklings that have taken care of my daughter. They have made us feel so comfortable. They are amazing with her and I do not doubt for a second she is in the best possible place. I never thought I'd have so much confidence in her care. The beautiful photos and updates of her day always make me smile and it is always a pleasure to pick her up and be welcomed in by such a wonderful team. Could not recommend this nursery enough.

Lovely people working with our daughter, they always have a smile on their face either when we drop or pick her up. She seems to be comfortable with all of them thanks to their efforts. We love the activities that are provided, the updates throughout the day and the photos with her moments. Our daughter started nursery just a month ago and a lot of the time she has been ill, it's lovely to see that even though she might be a little bit poorly the caregivers are there to give her a lot of cuddles and make her feel better. I have 2 children within Ducklings (baby room and toddler room) and cannot praise the staff enough! My toddler was moved to Ducklings from a larger setting in St Ives where he was very quiet and unsettled but has come alive here and cannot wait for his days in nursery! The staff are so kind and gentle with the children and regularly take them on activities and trips out, baking and painting and doing all the wonderful things that you would hope they would. Recently my baby has now joined and I’m so relieved that the baby room has been just as wonderful. The staff show real love towards the babies and are genuinely just as happy as we are when they have a good day, embracing my child’s love for being cheeky. I get regular updates on the app and any missing information is always handed over when asked. All staff are very knowledgeable about the children and their day and management are very easy to communicate with.

The nursery staff are excellent at keeping me up to date with how his days go and feeding back information such as how much he’s eaten etc. They are friendly and approachable and have great relationships with both parents and children. The children all clearly feel very happy and relaxed around them which is such a comfort to know. The communication from the office is clear and full of information and is not at all too frequent. The staff help with any possible query you have, and will happily take a call to reassure you your child’s day is going well.

Cannot recommend the preschool enough. My daughter started last month and has settled in nicely. The setting is a cosy cabin with an outlook onto the large garden with fruit trees, veg patch and large mud kitchen, etc. The staff are welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. For instance, my daughter is a fussy eater, so I was apprehensive about sending her for lunch. The staff have been nothing but accommodating, adapting the menu to her needs. This was a great peace of mind for us. She is always excited to go to preschool and very happy talking about her new friends and the activities she has been doing. Highly recommend this preschool.

Ducklings nursery have always gone above and beyond for my child. They are especially great at communicating day to day on what the children have been up to with regular updates on their parent link app. Handovers are always lovely and the parent to teacher relationship is just as important to them as their connection with the children. The in-house chef is amazing, even creating learning opportunities in the kitchen such as baking and decorating cookies, and particularly understanding when in comes to my child’s food allergies. I would highly recommend Ducklings to anyone in the local area. It truly has that home from home feeling and the setting itself is lovely. The recently refurbished garden is fantastic for all the children’s ages, toddler through to the preschoolers. They have their own veg patch, herb garden and harvest fruit from the trees which is used for the children’s meals!

Absolutely fantastic place for your little one.
