Daffodils Outdoor Nursery understands children learn best through play whilst aiming to spend 80% of the day outdoors promoting in-the-moment learning that builds confidence, resilience and a love of nature.
The Nursery consists of four play spaces, designed to meet the needs of each age group:
•Baby Barn – a home from home environment for children 9 months to 2 years, including direct access to their own garden to explore the outdoors from the beginning of their journey.
•Toddler and Pre-School Gardens – outdoor spaces for 2–3 year olds and 3–4 year olds, children are given opportunities to take risks, explore ideas and build confidence within a supportive environment.
•The Main Building – warm and welcoming indoor space children can enjoy cosy stories, mealtimes together, creative activities, or come inside to get warm and dry after outdoor adventures.
•Woodlands- Forest School sessions, den building, woodwork, mud kitchens, outdoor cooking, imaginative play
Children enjoy a range of outdoor activities including tree climbing, messy and risky play, art with nature, clay modelling, sand and water play, music, yoga, cooking and much more. The Nursery strives to capture the magic of childhood supporting confident and curious learners to reach their full potential. The parents are invited to celebrate these moments during play and stay events.

The setting expects all parents, carers, and visitors to park their vehicles responsibly and with consideration for the safety of others. We couldn't speak more highly the team at Daffodils Nursery. It is such a welcoming, friendly and positive environment, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. You can see how much care, thought and energy goes into making it a place where the children feel happy, safe and valued.

We couldn't speak more highly the team at Daffodils Nursery. It is such a welcoming, friendly and positive environment, and the staff are absolutely fantastic. You can see how much care, thought and energy goes into making it a place where the children feel happy, safe and valued.
Our daughter genuinely loves going to nursery and is 9/10 is running in to be dropped off, which says everything. The children clearly love being there, and there is also a brilliant sense of community between the staff, children and parents.
Daffodils is so much more than just a nursery. It is a caring, enriching environment where children are encouraged to grow, explore, build confidence and enjoy themselves. The team have created something really special, and we feel very fortunate that our daughter gets to be part of it.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Daffodils to any family.

Our children have been attending Daffodils outdoor nursery since 2021, with one now at school and the other still enjoying the everyday magic of this wonderful setting. It is a truly unique place, and we have felt so privileged over the years to be able to give our children the best possible start....
Our children have been attending Daffodils outdoor nursery since 2021, with one now at school and the other still enjoying the everyday magic of this wonderful setting. It is a truly unique place, and we have felt so privileged over the years to be able to give our children the best possible start. We truly feel that the skills they learn spending their days outdoors cannot be replicated by other settings. The staff are incredible, they know every child and every child knows them - the beauty of a small setting with highly trained staff. The child led ethos, focusing on in-the-moment learning and allowing children to take risks, build their resilience and work collaboratively are all things we now see every day in how our children behave and interact.
We could not recommend the nursery more highly.

We have been at Daffodils for the past 3 and a half years. It is a unique and inspiring place where our boys feel so settled and comfortable and enjoy each and every day they spend there. A fantastic team of really dedicated staff who provide such professional and creative care week in and week out. They offer practical and useful advice for challenging behaviours and helped us greatly when we were experiencing more tricky emotions with our son.
The outdoor setting has in fact improved a lot in the last year providing the children with even more opportunities to explore the outside world. The nursery has a fantastic set up indoors too which is quite a considerable size given the space they also have outdoors and in comparison to other nurseries locally. I must also say that the food offering is very good, all made on site and the chef comes up with lots of lovely, creative meals for the kids day to day. An amazing nursery I highly recommend.

Huge fan of what they do at Daffodils. All the children get to be children! They play and run around, learn about nature and make a big old mess. Our son Arthur loves his time there and has made lots of good friends and loves his teachers. It's a very unique place and we're lucky to have it near by.

We've sent our children to Daffodils Outdoor Nursery since 2023 and couldn't have wished for a better early years setting. The outdoor environment is truly special and unlike any other nursery around Market Harborough. Our girls absolutely love it and have so much fun every day.

We've sent our children to Daffodils Outdoor Nursery since 2023 and couldn't have wished for a better early years setting. The outdoor environment is truly special and unlike any other nursery around Market Harborough. Our girls absolutely love it and have so much fun every day. The staff are kind, thoughtful, and genuinely get to know each child as an individual. Management maintain incredibly high standards with real attention to detail, and we've always felt listened to and supported as parents.
It's pricier than some nurseries and the hours are tighter, but there's clearly a strong rationale behind those decisions, particularly around safety and maintaining the quality of care. For us, it's incomparable to any other nursery in the area and we're so grateful we found it.
