Happy Little Sunbeams Day Nursery

The nursery means so much to me and it was always my passion to own a nursery, previous to this I childminded from my home and this went from strength to strength until I had a waiting list, this prompted me to take the leap and work extremely hard to make the nursery what it is today. I have worked so hard for over 7 years to ensure that we provide the best care for all of the children we care for with my amazing team of staff. My first priority is to ensure all our children and parents are happy when they join us, we work closely with parents and carers to ensure they are as involved as much as possible in the care we deliver. I love to provide lots of experiences for the children and ensure my staff feel the same way, I have extremely high standards and my staff follow this ethos. I worked in the Probation Service for 20 years and loved working with families ensuring that I provided the best support for the families and children I worked with, this role gave me insight into child protection and managing risks accordingly. I love all of the children in our nursery and love to spend time with them, I try to provide the best resources and experiences for your children. I operate an inclusive approach and a very transparent approach to everything we do and I genuinely get upset if we fall short of anything, I am always open to suggestions and constructive feedback.

Hello, my name is Zoe, and I am the Nursery Manager and Health and Safety Lead at Happy Little Sunbeams. I have worked at the nursery for over four years now and initially started as a Nursery Assistant. Since my time at the nursery, I have completed a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship in which I gained valuable knowledge and skills to become the effective practitioner I am today. I am very passionate about providing high-quality care and education to all children who attend the setting, ensuring staff are aware of each child’s individual needs and learning journeys to ensure they support the children in their care in achieving their developmental milestones via effective curriculum planning, which covers all 7 areas of learning in the EYFS. I am very eager to develop my knowledge and skills and undertake continuous professional development at any given opportunity to ensure I share my best practice with the rest of the staff at the nursery. I have also completed a Level 3 Early Years SENDCo qualification to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I am a strong believer in Cultural Capital in the Early Years; making sure the staff and I at the nursery provide quality learning opportunities to allow the children to build the essential knowledge that they need to prepare them for their future success, offering an inclusive environment, and providing valuable and enriching learning opportunities throughout each day is key to a child’s development. Hello, my name is Suzanne, I am Senior Deputy Manager/Designated Safeguarding Lead and EYFS Lead at Happy Little Sunbeams and have been working here for over four years now – starting as a Room Leader. From a very young age, it was always my dream to work with children; I am very passionate about early education and the importance of this through play. I am lucky enough for parents and carers to entrust their most precious person in the world to me to care, and I will always strive to provide the best possible care to all the children in my care. I feel it is very important to ensure my knowledge and skills are kept up to date on the EYFS curriculum and ensure I share my best practices with all staff in the nursery.

During my time working with children, I have completed a degree in Early Years, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I love working with children; it is an absolute pleasure to support them to grow and achieve new skills that will prepare them for the future.

Hello, my name is Delta, I am a Deputy Manager at Happy Little Sunbeams and have been here for 3 years now. I have three children, and ever since I was a child, it has been my dream to pursue a job as a Child Psychologist.

Growing up, I had many babysitting jobs; I used to babysit for neighbours as well as family, and I loved it! I carried out a placement in a primary school whilst at secondary school, and after my work experience ended, I continued to attend each day for one hour for almost one year as I worked closely with a child who had learning difficulties. I used the dot-to-dot letter formation technique to support the child to write their name, and watch how proud the child was and how overjoyed the parents were. This was the moment I knew I wanted to work with children to support them to thrive in life! I love working with children in early years; encouraging and supporting them to reach their developmental milestones is very rewarding. Knowing I am part of their developmental journey is such an amazing feeling!

I have worked with children for many years now, and providing fun, stimulating activities to support children’s development is something I strongly believe in. I am very creative with the children, and messy/sensory play is something I love to carry out with the children throughout each day. I like to keep the children active; playing fun games, singing and dancing to the children’s favourite songs and nursery rhymes are just some of the activities I provide for the children in my care, and I love to see how happy they are in doing so.

I like to take an active role in caring for the children and their daily needs, as well as helping them grow and develop to their full potential.
