Dragonflies Nursery & Out of School Club is a purpose-built nursery in Chandler's Ford. It was founded by a local working mum with a vision for truly exceptional childcare.

Dragonflies offers a warm, nurturing, and highly personalised environment for children aged 2 to 5. With just 40 carefully allocated places, the setting is intentionally kept small to create a genuine ‘home from home’, where every child is known, valued, and supported as an individual.

The spacious outdoor area and thoughtfully designed learning environments are inspired by the Curiosity Approach, encouraging natural exploration, creativity, and a love for learning. Strong parent partnerships are a cornerstone of the setting, with open, regular communication that ensures families feel informed, connected, and confident in their child’s care.

Dragonflies Out of School Club also offers reliable wraparound care for primary school-aged children, supporting busy families with the demands of daily life.

The Breakfast and After School Club provides drop-off and collection services to and from St Francis CE Primary School in Chandlers Ford, with extended hours tailored to suit the needs of working parents.

Additionally, Dragonflies operates a well-loved Holiday Club, open from 8am to 6pm, delivering a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment for children throughout school breaks.

With its flexible, family-focused approach and emphasis on wellbeing, Dragonflies is a trusted and convenient choice for out-of-school and holiday childcare in the local community.

Dragonflies is an incredibly kind, patient, dedicated and nurturing nursery suited for any and all children. I cannot recommend it highly enough for any child.
Our son is leaving Dragonflies to move onto primary school and we love Dragonflies so much that we've signed up our second son to go as well!
Some
of the things which our first son had found challenging as he developed, Dragonflies were always there to help him in a kind, attentive and helpful way with his journey.
We've watched him grow and blossom with help from Dragonflies to become a very confident and happy little boy ready for school.

Couldn't have asked for better care for our child. Each and every staff member went above and beyond to make our child feel safe, happy and special. Can't recommend highly enough. Best nursery experience

Such a happy place to be! The care given to my child has been on another level and all staff have supported us all as a family. They have followed my child's interests with enthusiasm and given him a great start to his education.

Our daughter has just graduated from Dragonflies, and we couldn't be more thankful. She started just before turning three and was made to feel welcome and special from day one. Her key worker was amazing-caring, enthusiastic, and truly engaged with everything our daughter did. Another staff member also
stood out with her energy and warmth in every interaction.


The team communicated so well with us and always celebrated our daughter for who she is. The variety of activities and the kind, supportive environment helped her grow in confidence, play more creatively, and connect beautifully with other children.


We've been so happy with Dragonflies that we signed up our son before he was even born. That says everything about how much we trust and value this wonderful nursery.


We'd absolutely recommend Dragonflies to any parent looking for a caring, nurturing, and inspiring start for their child.

This nursery is such a kind and friendly nursery. My two boys have loved coming here. They both grew in confidence and I felt they were looked after so well. They took part in some lovely activities during their stay, such as a mini farm visited and woodland walks.
