Pippa’s House, Claygate exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere, situated conveniently just a short 5-minute walk from Claygate train station, in front of the Torrington car park.

Their commitment to providing a nurturing environment for children is reflected in the thoughtful design and arrangement of the different age-specific rooms.

The curriculum for the younger children focuses on creating a calming environment in which to build relationships. Sensory toys, a cosy reading corner, and musical instruments enhance the sensory experiences of the little ones. Sensory and messy play activities abound, with easy access to free flow into the garden throughout the year, allowing the children to explore and practice walking in a spacious, well-lit environment.

Older children share an integrated learning space. This arrangement encourages mutual support and learning among the children. There is a focus on turn-taking, sharing, and beginning to identify marks and simple sentences. The room offers a range of activities, from messy play to arts and crafts, supporting diverse learning experiences.

Lovely little nursery lead by Abby and Lauren. My daughter comes home happy every day since going for over a year and a half
She loves all the team and special mention to Lyn, Pauline and Mia
Also special mention to the food. She has 3 hot home cooked meals with snacks in between that are all healthy.

Staff are warm, friendly, caring and clearly enjoy looking after the children. Our son has had a fantastic time, loves attending and has a great relationship with his peers and the nursery staff. They know the children well, know the curriculum and teach them early years skills in fun and entertaining
ways. I have no hesitation in recommending the nursery to other parents. Children are safe, loved and happy.

We've been really impressed with the nursery. The staff are very caring and there are lots of varied activities each day. Our little one runs in each day happy to see everyone. The garden is great and the kids spend lots of time outside which we really appreciate.

My son started when he was 9 months old and settled in immediately. He loves coming to nursery and will always lean for a cuddle from all practitioners making drop-off super easy. The menu has a huge variety which has introduced my son to many new tastes and flavours whilst also meeting his dietary
requirements. It's great to see photos daily to see what he has been doing throughout the day.

My son started at Pippa's House Nursery in June 2024, when he was 11 months old. He settled in very quickly and loves it there. The staff are amazing and have provided a fantastic caring and nurturing environment. They go above and beyond, always making time to go through any queries I have. The days
are filled with lots of activities including arts and crafts, decorating food, sensory play and lots of outdoor activities. It's a joy watching how happy he is, always has a massive smile when I pick him up and how much he has learnt in such a short space of time.

My daughter started at Pippa's House Nursery in March 2024 when she was 11 months old and I have been thoroughly impressed ever since. All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly and my daughter absolutely loves it there. There is great consistency of staff and they make a huge effort with the variety
of activities on offer. Not only that, but most importantly, the care my daughter receives from the staff is absolutely second to none and I have every confidence that she is as well looked after there, as she is when she is at home with me. I couldn't recommend Pippa's House Claygate highly enough.

Our daughter has been going to Pippa's House Nursery in Claygate since July 2024. She's our first child and was 9 months old when we first sent her so we were naturally apprehensive about sending her to nursery. The team have been exceptional, it's felt like a real partnership and we've been able to
work together and adapt things as they've been needed. I really felt like the team at Pippa's are truly invested in all of the children and I can't speak highly enough of them. They are actively engaged in our daughter's development and feel like she has come on so much since going. She also absolutely loves it!!

All the staff are amazing - so caring and friendly. Two of the ladies are so lovely and my grandchild loves being with them especially. The nursery offers a wonderful family caring safe environment which is so reassuring. Fantastic learning activities with a great outdoor space.

Our two children joined Pippa's House Claygate (in the under 2's and Pre-school rooms) following a house move in January this year and we couldn't have been happier on how they have both settled. The staff are all so caring and it is such a welcoming environment, there is always a friendly face at drop
off. There is also great consistency in the team (which is not always the case from our experience of nursery settings). They put a lot of thought into activities and our eldest enjoys the extracurricular sports and our youngest Hartbeeps. Our son leaves for school in September and we feel they have supported him well in preparing for this transition. We always get a very thorough handover at the end of each day both in person and also through the app. They are flexible, and kind and keep the kids stimulated and active throughout the day.

We were nervous to move our daughter to a new nursery when we moved house but we have been happy with Pippa's from day one.
The staff genuinely care for all of the children and our daughter is learning so many things I would not even think to teach her at home. They play outside as much as possible
and always have exciting themes and activities to aid her learning. She is happy and confident making friends with the other children and the menu of food is varied and encourages her to try new things.
The nursery is flexible, supportive and always welcoming and accommodating which is reassuring when we work full time. Highly recommend!

Our little boy absolutely loves going to nursery and we've been happy with his whole experience at the setting. The preschool team create some fantastic activities to keep all the children entertained and engaged and our son regularly mentions all he's learned there.
While the outside space is smaller
than other nurseries, they've made great use of it, with a section for the smaller children and lots of activities that older children can do.
The team are good at communicating with us, listening to any concerns we have and acting on them. There is always a friendly face to welcome our child every morning and they all look like they are genuinely having a good time.
It's also nice that Pippa's Claygate is part of a small chain of nurseries, so it feels like each child matters.

Absolutely amazing staff, so friendly, caring and just all-around lovely people. My little boy loves it at Pippa’s, he’s been there for a year and a bit now. He’s so happy when he’s there, the activities that they do are brilliant and they understand what he needs. Great range of snacks and meals each
day. The outdoor space isn’t as big as other nurseries however the nursery has really utilised the space with great toys and activities. I can’t highly recommend them enough.

The manager and all the staff are very caring and plan thoughtful activities every day. They really understand my son and know how to best support his development and learning.

She has been in childcare for almost 13 years and has obtained, a BA Hons degree in Early years childcare. Giving her lots of knowledge and experiences to share with the team.
