My Sunshine Day Nursery Barnes is a family operated nursery which opened in June 2021. The nursery offers 4 age-rooms across 4 floors for children aged from 3 months to 5 years. The Pre-School Room is on the lower ground floor; Baby Room is on the ground floor; Pre-Toddlers utilise the first floor and Toddlers are on the top floor. The nursery is open 51 weeks of the year from 7.30am to 6.30pm.

Led by the Barnes nursery manager, My Sunshine Barnes’s team of practitioners are passionate about early years childcare and work day-to-day to support each child reach its full potential. The high quality of management and staff ensures that children develop socially, intellectually, culturally, physically and emotionally in a homely, caring and secure environment. Tailored development programmes are implemented for each age range and include creative activities, languages, early computer skills and emergent reading and writing to help the children develop ready for school. Staff members also provide support with your child’s physical, emotional and social development and wellbeing.

Located 15 minutes from both Barnes and Barnes Bridge train stations, My Sunshine is a focal point for local families. From September 2025, the children will have access to a small outdoor learning space (currently under construction). Additionally, the children regularly visit Barnes Common to enjoy exciting nature explorations and fun play.

During the Nursery week, the children engage in extra-curricular activities such as Hartbeeps, Sporty Minis and Languages, with external visits from other providers such as Zoo Labs.

Nutritious meals - Breakfast, Lunch and Tea, along with morning and afternoon snacks - are provided by the nursery's in-house Chef based on a 4 weeks rolling and seasonal menu.

My Sunshine has been a wonderful and happy place for our son. He came here from another nursery and we have been nothing but impressed by the quality and attention to detail. It feels like a caring place full of love but also good at recording the day to day so parents are in the loop. Daily outings
really break up the day for the kids and keep things different. The creativity and themes are wonderful. Generally nothing but positive words. Thank you for making our entry into the childcare system a wonderful experience and we look forward to sending our next bundle to you too!

My Sunshine Nursery has been a wonderful experience for our son. The staff are incredibly caring and kind, as well as being fun and providing the children with a huge range of activities. The staff take the time to get to know each child and their family and adapt the activities based on the child's
needs and interests. Our son has really developed socially since starting at nursery and loves going. We are so happy we chose my sunshine nursery!

I sent both of my children from the age of one to My Sunshine day nursery and would highly recommend. The staff are all absolutely fantastic and the level of care provided is extremely high. The nursery provide lots of different activities for the kids and my children loved their time there.

Would never consider sending my children anywhere else. All of the staff clearly care a great deal about all of the children, from management to the chef, they know every child by name and always take the time to update at the end of the day. My eldest has been in pre-school for a year and my youngest
will be starting pre-school in September 2025. The preparation for starting school has been amazing. The children are regularly taken on trips to the local library and playground, they have French lessons once a week as well as music lessons and sporty minis. My daughter has loved her time here and I'm sad that it's coming to an end.

We love this nursery for our son. It's a great experience for him and wouldn't change a thing. The staff are really lovely as well definitely recommended. My son is a lot more confident and has learnt a lot from this nursery.

Our daughter has had a wonderful time with the team at My Sunshine Day Nursery, both in baby room and pre-toddlers. Staff are friendly and creative, and we loved that they make the effort to take the children outdoors every day. The management team are friendly, flexible and very accommodating. Very

Staff are caring and responsive to the needs of children, and parents. Facilities surpass expectations given the London location and children experience outdoor play every day (weather permitting) - which is fantastic. Food is varied and has a good balance at all meals/snacks.
The quality of updates
received is comprehensive.
Lucky to have such a well-run and trusted nursery so close by.

The staff are excellent. They seem to go out of their way to create fun and engaging activities. The weekly-themed content is really educational, particularly now that our daughter is in the pre-school class. She still gets lots of cuddles and love too. I am 100% at ease during my day knowing that my
daughter is being well looked after.

Harriet has 12 years of experience working in childcare and has completed a BA Hons in Childcare with Special Needs. Having started at the bottom of the childcare ladder as a Nursery Assistant, Harriet has gained significant experience working in different roles across a number of settings whilst gaining all her childcare qualifications. In 2014 Harriet was hired into her first manager role to lead a new Nursery start-up in Canary Wharf on behalf of a private owner. Over a 2-year period she successfully maximized occupancy of the Nursery with 165 children and led 80 staff. Harriet now brings all her experience and know-how into making My Sunshine Day Nursery a premium quality early years provider.
