The Old School House Cabot Lane

I would highly recommend The Old School House Cabot Lane. The setting is so lovely, the staff are so friendly and my little girl is always so happy to go in. The regular trips and their outside garden space is just wonderful for the children to explore the outside world. The chef onsite cooks the most amazing, healthy and varied meals every day which gives me one less thing to worry about planning for! Overall, we are so happy with everything this nursery has to offer.

I wanted to thank you all for your care, support and attentiveness when things have been challenging. I believe the nursery has gone from strength to strength with new leadership, functioning in a much more positive manner. In an Educational setting, children should be nurtured in a loving environment allowing them to flourish and grow and my child is absolutely thriving. He loves coming to nursery and has formed special relationships with both staff and other children. The app is a fantastic way to share observations which are detailed with my child's interests at the heart of what they do. Whenever I've had concerns the staff have taken the time to arrange meetings in a busy environment even if that means out of hours. You should be really proud of your team for being so welcoming and attentive.

My daughter loves going to nursery here. The staff are always friendly and approachable. My daughter has different activities like cooking, drama class and a tutor visit as well as much more. Handover is always informative and the staff are always happy to answer any questions I might have. Wouldn't want to send her anywhere else and highly recommend!

This nursery has really helped my child settle into starting nursery, the staff are always very friendly and happy, even when in different rooms to where your child goes. The children seem happy on drop-offs and pick-ups but when a little upset, they are comforted.

My daughter attends this nursery and she absolutely loves it. They have friendly and caring staff who really make your child feel welcome. There is always loads of activities set up each day like crafts and water table activities which really gives your child a chance to experience all different things. Very happy with the care that my daughter receives here.

This is honestly the best nursery around! My son who previously was in a private childminder had speech delays, after transferring him to another local nursery, they unfortunately couldn’t support my son. I reached out to Cabot Lane Day Nursery and they’ve honestly been so accommodating and welcoming! All the ladies are lovely and my son adores them all! Cabot Lane was recommended to me by two people and I’m so glad they both told me about it! Can’t thank the girls enough for helping my son come such a long way with his speech and overall understanding ready to start school in September.

My daughter loves coming here and I feel that she is in great hands. All the staff are very friendly, helpful and approachable. I admire the effort the staff go to, to create such a fun and involving learning environment for the children - so much fun that my daughter never wants to leave at pick-up time! My son loves coming to nursery and runs through the door (mostly!) The staff are fantastic and there is a real sense of teamwork, with all of the staff knowing all of the children. He has been both in the baby room and the preschool room and has really grown and progressed since being at Cabot Lane Day Nursery. Thanks everyone!

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery here. She has made a large group of lovely friends and tells me about what they’ve all been up to each day and who she’s played with. She has been able to really express herself and explore her different interests. They do a wide variety of activities which has given my daughter many new experiences she wouldn’t have had otherwise and has meant her learning and development have been amazing. The staff are all excellent! Every one of them is friendly, polite and has a genuine interest and love for each of the children. They cannot do enough. Very accommodating. I had a couple of bad experiences prior to starting at Cabot Lane Day Nursery and I am so so glad I gave them a go! Thank you all.

Lovely staff who go above and beyond for the children. They are well equipped, and the atmosphere of the nursery is really pleasant. They have a sizable outside space and do tons of creative activities for the children. We're over the moon with how far my son has developed during his time with the nursery. Couldn't recommend it highly enough, especially to parents with kids with additional needs.

Cabot Lane Day Nursery have always taken great care of my son since he started 5 months ago at a very young age. He always comes home from nursery happy and we get a really detailed handover of how his day has been. Staff are always kind and attentive.

All staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. Upon my initial visit, all my questions were answered without hesitation or referral. Staff are trained well and quickly establish routines for the children to settle. They will happily chat about your little one's day, and make drop off and collection a breeze. They are excellent at building relationships with both the children and the parents. Making it very clear to see they value the parent as the first educator. They value creativity and imagination, which is clear when you see the setting. It is both spacious and homely with exciting and engaging activities that capture the child's personal interests. My son took less than a week to settle and that was not the case in his previous setting. Before Cabot Lane Day Nursery, he refused fine motor activities. No interests whatsoever. However, since starting at Cabot Lane Day Nursery, he has asked for scissors and a notebook at home. What an amazing turnaround in just two weeks.

This nursery is all about fun and learning. I’ve always been really impressed by the friendliness of all the staff and how well they get to know the children and parents/guardians. My son loves the array of different activities and particularly loves arts and crafts as well as spending time outside. The indoor space has been really well thought out and the homely section where the children can sit in the big armchair is lovely. Couldn’t have found a better placement for my son.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to this nursery! They have been amazing with her, she was so scared to leave me to start off with but no she absolutely adores it there. They always serve lovely food, and do fun activities. She has the best time. Would highly recommend.

So happy I found this nursery and absolutely love how flexible they are with hours to fit around school run, just fantastic. Great updates on the app, my 2-year-old daughter loves coming here and even asks on weekends can she go.

From the first time we went to look around Cabot Lane Day Nursery we knew it was the right place for our son. The manager and her staff have always gone above and beyond to ensure he’s settled in and all of his needs are met. The building is amazing and he always runs in smiling and happy. They continuously plan new and engaging activities with the children and take their lead on this. The communication with the staff is brilliant with daily updates on his day as well as regular observations and photos through an app. Would highly recommend. We’re so happy we moved our son here.

I am thrilled to have found this nursery. My daughter suffers from several allergies, because of this I kept her behind a year, however this nursery has adapted and taken all of my worries away. My daughter is catered for during snack and lunch times despite her allergies. My daughter is well looked after. The staff really care for all the children and each one is looked after so well. Great bunch of staff, absolutely amazing. My daughter is so excited the night before ‘school’ and has already learnt so much! I highly rate them and can’t wait for my son to start in January. I feel so at ease knowing my daughter is having fun, learning new things and making new friends with excellent staff. Thank you Cabot Lane Day Nursery!

I couldn’t be happier with this nursery. All staff are attentive and all truly love the children they care for. My daughter absolutely loves attending and gets excited every time I say it’s a nursery day. My daughter has learnt so much in her time at Cabot Lane Day Nursery and I look forward to her future there.
