Dragonflies Day Nursery

Our daughter will soon be leaving Dragonflies Nursery, and I am finding myself feeling more emotional about her leaving than I was when I first dropped her off almost three years ago!

Dragonflies has been an additional family for our daughter, who has flourished under their care and dedication. We have felt so safe and secure entrusting them with her wellbeing, and we as the parents have enjoyed getting to know the staff over the years and establishing our own relationship.

Every day Sage comes home with a big smile on her face, new anecdotes to tell us and a healthy amount of paint or dirt all over her (messy child = happy child!). Not to mention she likes the food so much we have sometimes been told she eats hers friends too!

Whilst Sage is ready for big school, I know she will miss Dragonflies dearly, and we will too.

I just want to say a big thank you to all the staff at dragonflies, my daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery and the excitement about seeing the staff and her friends every morning she goes makes me so happy to see, she is blossoming and I cannot thank them all enough. Her transition from half days to full days has been seamless and that's down to the staff and the care she gets daily!

I am absolutely thrilled with the experience at Dragonflies Day Nursery. From the moment my little boy started there we felt welcomed and reassured by the friendly staff and warm environment.

The staff are incredibly attentive and genuinely care about the children's development. My little boy has flourished under their care, learning new skills and making wonderful friends.

The facilities are clean, safe, and filled with age-appropriate activities that keep the kids engaged and excited to learn. Communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel informed about my child's progress. Now he always walks in with a big smile and happy to see everyone and gets so excited about his day.

I highly recommend Dragonflies to any parent looking for a nurturing and enriching environment for their little one!

My daughter loves it here and she is really happy and settled. She has a great relationship with all the staff and is thriving. I highly recommend it here. The staff are approachable and very down to earth. Any issues are dealt with quickly. The nursery in my opinion is the best choice I could have made.

Nurturing and personalised care. Always look forward to regular updates on the app. Staff understand my child's likes and use these to support when she's upset. Great summary at the end of the day. Vegan diet provided for. Child led and great development made over the last year.

Fantastic nursery. All staff are kind, caring and welcoming. Always felt supported when any challenges arose. Cannot thank you enough for the staff's positive approach. My son's knowledge develops day by day and they always have fantastic activities on board. The food is nice, my son loves it.

Fantastic nursery, highly recommend it. My son has been going for the last 10 months and has settled in so well, he loves going and is always so happy when he's there! We initially chose it as my daughter had attended and had left a year before, it had a change of management so naturally we were slightly apprehensive that it may have changed, but it's been brilliant and haven't had any need to worry at all. My child's keyworker is always friendly and enthusiastic, and the communication from everyone who works there is brilliant.

I cannot recommend Dragonflies and its staff enough! Everyone is so welcoming and lovely. My son has been attending since he was one and looks forward to going every single day. He has made some great friendships and has a brilliant relationship with staff too. He has gained so much confidence being at Dragonflies and has really flourished in multiple areas!

My son has been attending Dragonflies since Summer 2023. Before this, he attended another nursery but as he was reaching pre-school age we wanted him to be able to make friends in Calverton before going to school. It was the best decision we could have made. He found the change hard initially, but the staff went above and beyond to ensure he settled in. The friendliness and communication are far better than we experienced previously and we love the homely feel from the flow between rooms to the parent sessions and grandparent's reading time. They’re always thinking of new things to do in response to the children's needs and interests. Our son has developed so much in his time within here. He’s grown in confidence, learnt so many new things by exploring and made a lovely group of friends. I feel so much more confident about him making the transition to school thanks to the help and support of all the staff at Dragonflies. This is a team that really cares about the children they look after.

I couldn’t ask for enough from them! The staff are all so caring and kind and you can tell my daughter and all the other children are looked after well as they are so happy!. The food they give each day is a variety and so good, some days I’m even jealous I’m not there! Would definitely recommend this nursery!

My son absolutely adores attending Dragonflies! He loves being in the preschool room and we’ve found that his language has flourished since he began going more days. He is always so proud when he gets praise from the staff and is always trying to get me and his dad to do things like they do at nursery!

She has really blossomed being at Dragonflies and I have no worries about sending her. They are also really good at keeping you up to date with what your child has done throughout the day with eating, sleeping and playing.

Having had two children pass through the doors of this nursery, my boys absolutely loved and love coming here. They would run into the nursery and be met with cuddles from staff. It's a very warm and nurturing place. More over, my little one has multiple allergies, my eldest health conditions and this nursery and its staff have been nothing but accommodating. Nothing is to much trouble. They push the children's development in extremely positive ways, while being child-led in play. They could do with larger outside space, but they use what they have access to in very positive ways.

My daughter started with Dragonflies just before her second birthday and settled in well very quickly. All the staff make it such a welcoming and joyful environment, my daughter comes home after each visit telling me all sorts of fun things they have done and is always excited when I tell her that she has nursery the next day! She bonded with her key person very well and talks about her often. I love reading the updates and seeing the pictures they upload on the app. My daughter is very happy at the nursery and I feel very happy that she is cared for and supported as an individual. The management team are great and are always very helpful and efficient with any query I have had.

My son has been attending this nursery since he was 11 months old and he's now 4. The care the staff deliver is second to none: they are warm, kind and loving towards all the children. Communication from senior management is good, as is daily feedback from my son's key worker. He loves every day at Dragonflies Day Nursery and we will miss it immensely when school comes around. Keep up the good work!

Absolutely would recommend Dragonflies since the new manager has taken over, it's such a pleasant environment, he is really knowledgeable and the staff carry out some fantastic activities and genuinely know their stuff. It's really nice seeing the manager interact with the children too. My toddler loves attending. So grateful we found the perfect nursery! Thanks to the manager and the team!

Brilliant nursery. All of the staff are really friendly, professional and approachable. The environment is great for children as they provide a range of activities every day. Both of my children have been extremely happy there.

Dragonflies have gone above and beyond to support me and my boy. He's not long moved into the next room and the transition was as smooth for him as possible which really made this easier as he doesn't like change.

Great nursery, amazing staff and both my children loved going there. I couldn't consider alternative nurseries after seeing Dragonflies even though several other nurseries were closer to our location.
