Kids Planet Jack Straws Lane is an amazing place to leave my child every day. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the activities and play stations are always so varied and creative overall you enter this place and find extremely happy children, well nurtured and looked after. The nursery, in addition, can take advantage of a beautiful green space - fully and well exploited for the children's benefit. I love this place.
My son quickly adapted to the nursery thank to the lovely staff that is caring for him. He loves being at the nursery and that's peace of mind for a working mother. All the staff are super nice, keeping us up to date with his daily activities and involving interests. Although they are very busy they always have time for us. The management team is fantastic, organising loads of activities that involve the parents and constantly keeping us informed of what's going on. The outdoor space is fascinating.
Our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff are so caring and kind towards our little one and genuinely share our joy at seeing him having fun, or doing something new. The outdoor space is a real plus point and there are interesting and fun activities every day to keep the little ones entertained.
Jack Straws Lane nursery has become like a second home for our daughter, having starting her journey into childcare in the midst of the pandemic. She has started well and, thankfully, thrived ever since. No less thanks to the very warm welcome of the team and her key people. Everyone helped adopt her and us as best as possible, given the circumstances. I love the neutral but very warm and welcoming rooms with various activities in which children play and learn to their heart's content. A huge thank you for making our work life something to not having to worry about.
Our son has settled so well and is very happy to go into the tots room every day.
I'm so impressed by the range of scope of all the activities they do.
Our son has established a wonderful bond with his key person and we feel very reassured he is safe and cared for. Thank you.
Even though he's only 8 months old, I can tell how much he loves going to nursery.
We are absolutley delighted that our two younger children are able to enjoy such a rich, diverse and fun environment of Jack Straws Lane Nursery. We love the fact that the older kids are going on special trips outside the nursery and spend as much time as possible in the woodlands area where they learn so many important facts about nature and lots of practical skills like making a fire including all associated safety aspects. The special events and parties at nursery are a lovely way to make the time for the children more special. The little kids get to do so many amazing activities including lots of messy play which our kids really enjoy. Everyone is lovely and caring and we are super happy with the management.
My daughter has been at nursery for a year and she is having a wonderful time. The carers have taken time to know her special interests and to help her develop her motor, speech and social skills. They encourage children to learn to do things independently and take risks under supervision. The children spend a lot of time outside which has been great for their development. We get feedback and photos of her day every day.

Meet the Team (3)
My name is Rebecca, having worked across a variety of childcare settings for the past 10 years, I have finally found my home being the manager of Jack Straws Lane. I am passionate about delivering quality childcare where the children have opportunities to thrive, create and be inspired by the everyday awe and wonder around them.
In my spare time, I love to travel, and experience different cultures around the world.
My name is Charlotte, I found childcare after following in my mother's footsteps. Spending time with children when I was young truly ignited my passion for this role. Before settling into nursery life, I worked as an entertainer based at UK holiday parks. Having thoroughly enjoyed my time there, it was a natural Segway into becoming part of children's development. What I love about Jack Straws Lane is the career opportunities it has provided for me, as well as most importantly the family feel that the setting offers.
My name is Maite, I am the Third in charge and room leader of our Under 2s unit. I am originally from Spain and speak English & Spanish. I have previously worked as an au pair, across different settings & various countries.
The reason I work with children is because I cherish seeing how they develop, watching their individual personalities grow and learn new skills. I am Udeskole trained and carry a passion for promoting outdoor learning across all ages.
