Denise has over 25 years of experience in childcare. She holds a First-Class degree in Early Years: Leadership and Management, a PGCE, and Early Years Teacher Status. Throughout her career, she has worked in a wide range of settings, including a children’s centre, the American School, and a private school in Ealing. She also spent 12 years as a childminder, providing high-quality care and education to children aged 5 months to 11 years in her home.
Having worked in the industry for many years and in such diverse environments, Denise has an in-depth understanding of children’s developmental and nurturing needs.
At Sunflowers Nursery, she has seen first-hand the extraordinary professionalism of the team. They know the children exceptionally well and provide a kind, inclusive, warm, and enjoyable environment where all children truly thrive. The staff embrace each child’s uniqueness, nurturing their individual strengths, interests, and emerging skills.
Every child is given a voice, helping them build confidence and independence as they explore the many wonderful and exciting experiences on offer at Sunflowers Nursery. After previously working in the civil service, starting at Staines Prep was a complete career change for Jane. She quickly knew that working with children was her passion and that Sunflowers Nursery was the place for her. She gained her Level 3 qualification on the job and was supported in achieving this by her colleagues in the Nursery who were always willing to pass on their knowledge and wealth of experience.
Jane has over 10 years of Early Years experience at Staines Prep. She loves getting involved in messy play and doing creative activities with the children. Jane is super organised and enjoys developing the outside area to cater for a wide range of learning needs and interests.
Jane is proud to be part of the Staines Prep community and Early Years team; she really feels like it is a family.
Michelle has worked in childcare for over 20 years, after completing her first BTEC in Care, and an NNEB. She has had experience working in a range of different settings, which include private nurseries, and schools and in roles of nannying, working with children from newborn to 11 years old.
Michelle recently joined Staines Prep working within Sunflowers Nursery where she has been enjoying getting to know the children and the nursery routines.
She loves how the nursery is open-planned with a fantastic outside area and how the great team are in making everyone feel welcome.
Inderpal has worked in Primary Education and in Early Years Education for the last 26 years. She has a B.A Hons. degree in Early Years Teaching.
She has been very fortunate to have worked in several different schools and has gained a wealth of experience throughout her years of teaching. Inderpal has worked with children from the age of six months to 18 years of age. She is a confident and energetic person, who is enthusiastic about working in early years settings.
She believes it is vital that, as early practitioners, we should ensure the children have a high level of learning and development, preparing them for independence, allowing them to thrive and immerse themselves in new challenges ahead, enabling them to grow into strong independent young people.
Inderpal enjoys being part of the inspiring dedicated staff team at SPS Sunflowers Nursery, who are committed to providing an excellent Early Years Education, following the EYFS curriculum, by developing the children’s well-being and needs, making sure each child reaches their full potential.
She values that the learning should be presented in a fun and positive way with varied topics and activities, that engage and contribute towards the child’s learning and development. She is passionate about providing a happy welcoming environment for the children to experience their learning through play and other channels, she has great pride in seeing all the children's achievements.
