Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge

As an extremely anxious mum who works alongside ofsted within the social care sector, I held very high expectations for a nursery, not knowing whether I would even feel confident to leave my one-year-old daughter enrolled in a nursery. However, Shortwood Lodge have exceeded all expectations I had in the best way possible! I receive detailed and honest feedback and handovers each and every time I pick my daughter up. I call the nursery four times a day sometimes to see how she is and they always make time to reassure me and let me know how she is doing and in the early days they would even offer for me to settle in the office with management if I was anxious. My daughter has been reaching her goals and thriving all thanks to the baby room at shortwood lodge! My daughter is dairy and soya free and they continue to always ensure they are vigilant. From being an extremely anxious mum, not wanting leave my baby at nursery, I now leave confident and happy knowing my baby is happy there!

The staff at Shortwood Lodge are exceptional and have been so kind, caring and patient with my daughter who can be very nervous. She comes home happy every day copying songs and books that she's learnt. I couldn't be happier with our choice to enrol her here she really has come on leaps and bounds since joining. The managers are so helpful with any request and they put your mind at ease with any queries. Fantastic nursery!

My son has been at Kids Planet since he was 11 months old, now he's almost 5! We have no complaints, the staff and management there are wonderful. Our son has had a range of key workers during his time there, and they've all been great supporting him through those important stages, walking, talking, making friends, toilet training, the list goes on! I can only echo what others have said in terms of the activities the team run with the children each day, and the new skills he's constantly learning. I'd recommend Kids Planet to any parent considering sending their child for baby, toddler and pre-school care.

The area where the nursery is located is also great, full of green open spaces around.

My eldest has been attending for over 2 years now since she was 1, and my youngest for 6 months since she was 8 months old. The manager and the staff are all amazing, when I can't be with the girls myself there is no one else I'd trust more than them. I'm amazed when they come home with the new skills they've learned, or the different things they've done that day, especially when it's messy play so we don't have to do much of that at home!!! The staff have so much time, care and love for the girls. I'd recommend the nursery to anyone, especially with the manager in charge!

I love my boy being at this nursery! The staff in the baby room and the management are amazing. It is always scary leaving your baby and they made the process so much easier. He settled in well and made me feel comfortable leaving him. The facility's are great as well and nothing bad to say about anything. I'm so happy I chose this nursery and would recommend everyone!

My daughter has completed 1 settling in session including parents and 2 independent sessions. The staff have been very helpful by answering lots of questions, being patient, and taking good care of our daughter. My daughter has so far really enjoyed her time at your nursery so hoping this will continue when she officially starts next week.

Since our boy has started nursery, we couldn't be happier. The staff are very friendly and always provide lots of updates on how he's doing. We're very happy with the service and would recommend it to other parents in the area.

My son and daughter love going here to this Nursery and have both been going since they were 9 months old. The staff are so accommodating, friendly and really nice. Never had any issues with them and they really make an effort with the children. Would highly recommend this Nursery to others and am so pleased that the staff has stayed since the changeover to Kids Planet.

I have more recently had a great experience with Kids Planet. My 2-year-old son started at the beginning of November in the toddler room and he really has come in leaps and bounds already. We have 0 tears on drop off, he is eating more, his speech has come on massively in a matter of weeks, and the staff members are always so pleasant and lovely on pick up! The staff really do tend to each individual's needs and my son has a dummy, bunny and blanket comfort which is never an issue for them when he comes in on a morning. Even after doing a full 8-6 with not only my child but lots of others, they're never rushy, always informative and able to update me on my son's day. I am so glad I chose Kids Planet and just knew from the feeling it gave me on a visit that it was going to be the place for my son. Keep up the great work, you are all doing a fabulous job of helping us raise our littles and we couldn't keep the ship afloat without you!

All the rooms have so many different areas to explore and there is a big outside space.

Both of my boys love attending Kids Planet Shortwood Lodge Nursery. The staff are friendly and welcoming and go above and beyond to help tackle challenges such as speech and language and potty training. The food is great and the kids eat things they'd never eat at home. I never have concerns when dropping the kids off as they go in happily and I know they will contact us if there are any problems during the day.
