Cumberland Road Nursery & Pre-School

I'm really happy I chose this nursery for my kids; the settling has been smooth and I was accurately informed about every step. All the teachers are competent and really lovely and they involve the kids in a range of different activities to empower them to learn and engage. I would recommend this nursery.

My son started in toddler room and has settled in really well now. I have to say I've seen him come very far I used to be quite wary about his eating because he started off with strong gagging reflexes but, the meal time routine here at the nursery, have helped him become a better eater, the nursery offer such a variety of different kinds of foods and cuisines which I think is brilliant. I know the chef is amazing and takes a lot of care in making sure food is top notch and the nursery prioritise this which is clear to see. The activities are very fun and engaging for my toddler he has so much to do. My son loves getting messy and playing with everything. It's a great experience that I couldn't provide for him in the same way at home. He's got a good relationship with his key person and many of the other staff members. I'm really happy and glad I made the right choice to bring him here at Cumberland Road!

We've had a wonderful experience with Leyf Cumberland Nursery for our one-year-old. Since starting, we've seen significant improvements in her social and eating skills, which gave us the confidence to move her to full-time care.

The teachers are warm, attentive, and consistently introduce new activities that help develop her skills in a fun, engaging way. It's clear they genuinely care about the children's growth and well-being.

One of the aspects we appreciate most is the regular updates-we always know how she's doing and what she's been up to, which is incredibly reassuring as parents.

We couldn't be happier with the nurturing environment and the progress our daughter has made. We do recommend!

I wanted to extend my sincere gratitude to the manager of Cumberland Pre-School Nursery for her exceptional support and guidance as I prepared to secure a place for my daughter. Her prompt and thorough responses to all my questions were incredibly reassuring. The open day showcased the nursery's outstanding governance and dedication to providing a safe, nurturing environment. Today was the final straw with Cumberland Road Nursery having my wife pick up my son and he is walking around half-naked outdoors with two members of staff standing around chatting, not paying attention to any of the kids. The management seems to have neglected my child numerous times and I have let it slide. They are unprofessional and I do not want any parent/child to go through any horrible experience with this nursery. Please avoid at all costs for the safety of your child.

My 1yo has been going to the nursery (baby room) for a month and he has been loving it! The nursery teachers are nurturing and caring. My baby has bonded with them all very quickly. They create an amazing environment for the little ones to learn and explore appropriately for their age and help them develop their skills. The food and level of nutrition are amazing and I love the updates on the family App so I can stay informed of how my baby is progressing.

I would like to say a personal thank you to everyone who has looked after my child, past and present; we are extremely grateful for everything you do.

They always do different activities to enhance different skills.

My daughter started at the age of 2 and I needed contentment that she is somewhere loved and cared for. I feel satisfied to see her happy. The teachers are very caring and treat every child like their own. The manager is so lovely, she is very approachable, attentive and gives you clarity in your requirements. I am very happy to have across this nursery and I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

My daughter goes to this nursery 4 days a week, she is 3 years old, she loves it very much and is happy being there. I think I am going to apply for a fifth day at the nursery to get her a full week's attendance.

I have had both my children and my nephews attend this nursery and we have been more than satisfied with the staff and our experience there. My children are always happy to go to nursery and the staff are welcoming, caring, warm and accommodating always.

This nursery offers a wide range of activities, resources and experiences to stimulate and engage my son.

My child has also started to make friends and always seems to enjoy it.

My daughter has been at this nursery since September and I’ve seen a huge improvement in her confidence and speech. Teachers here are so nice and she is going in every day.

Our son has been attending the nursery since July 2023. He loves going in every morning and as soon as we park outside the nursery he runs to go in. The teachers are very welcoming and warm towards our son. We are involved in parent's evening and love seeing his progress through the app. I would recommend this nursery to others.

The food and menu on offer to the children is phenomenal, the chef onsite is talented and one of the friendliest staff you’ll meet and she loves nothing more than the children complimenting her food. The place always smells amazing.

Most importantly, compared to a previous nursery, we have found our daughter has learned much more in terms of conversation, awareness, and dexterity. I will credit the staff for introducing a wide range of weekly events such as Chinese New Year and Mother's Day as examples. Our daughter is enjoying her time at the nursery.

This nursery provides excellent care to all children. My child comes home very happy and tells me all about what he has done. His speech has advanced since starting here. All the members of staff are very friendly and really care about the children.

Cumberland Road Nursery is amazing with my son. He's happy here and I’ve noticed progress since he’s started. He has a great relationship with his teachers and they are all lovely and give great detailed feedback and are attentive. It’s also great to see regular updates on what my son’s up to at nursery during the week on the app. Management is very supportive of me being a single parent, they have listened well to the concerns I have.
