Tinky’s Day Nursery is a brand NEW (purpose built) nursery located in the Hendon area of the London Borough of Barnet. They are situated just off Watford Way with great transport links to and from London. They provide high quality education and care for all children which are appropriate to their individual needs.

The setting has three, well-lit and bright learning rooms for all baby, toddler, and pre-school aged children. The resources have been carefully selected to suit the ages and stages of the children and each room have their own air conditioning unit.   

At Tinky’s Day Nursery, they believe that early years are the most important years of a child’s life. Their ethos is to create a ‘home away from home’ learning environment for all children, offering many opportunities for children to play, explore, be curious and make choices, both indoors and outdoors. They also have a strong emphasis on ‘Going Green’ where they ensure they recycle, reuse and reduce the amount of waste they create.

So happy to have chosen Tinky's for our twins! They have good facilities for the children's development. Clean, bright and airy; a perfect environment for children. The staff are good, friendly and very accommodating. They provide regular reports and updates, assuring parents of the care our children

My son goes here and we couldn't be happier. He always asks me over the weekend when he's going back to nursery to see all his teachers and peers. They organise a lot of activities for the children and their meals are delicious (my son always has seconds!) They are great with drop offs and pick up and
understand working parents' struggles which makes life so much easier. Thank you Tinky's!

Tinky's has been wonderful to my daughter. We were worried about her attachment issues but after 3 days, she was happy to go to "school" every day with no tantrums and no tears. All carers are wonderful, friendly and give attention to each child's needs. Also, they were very understanding in letting
her have her lil comforter bear so now it's part of their class. They have become a part of our family. She calls them her Aunties. The rooms are very clean and neat too! Overall, I am happy we found Tinky's!

Our experience with the nursery has been outstanding. Our little one moved from another nursery post-pandemic, and the team have been exemplary during his settling period. ‘Mums’ away from home, the staff had him settled within a few sessions, compared to his previous nursery, where months later I would
find myself dropping and collecting a very miserable child. Quite naturally I was worried my child would struggle again in a new setting, but credit to the nursery, they have flipped both mine and my little one’s experience of nurseries! I do not look forward to moving him to school soon, as he loves it so much. I cannot thank the staff enough in their caring and genuine passion towards handling my son. He looks forward to going in and is extremely happy when I pick him up - and that is the crux of what every parent wants at that age.

I knew from our first visit to Tinky's Day Nursery that this was the right place for our son.
From the first settle session I left feeling happy and content our son was safe and in great hands.
Our son looks forward to his days at Tinkys and I feel comfortable at work knowing he is enjoying himself
and looked after.
I believe he will thrive and be supported and encouraged with the support of the staff.
Every member of staff I have dealt with has been a delight. I am so glad we chose Tinkys.

We just moved to the UK a few months ago and I looked at several nurseries that just didn't seem right. My son doesn't speak any English and has separation anxiety after long months at home with us. Tinky's Day Nursery took him in with such love! He loves it there. They are open and communicative, share
his day with us, helped us with funding and understanding of the way nurseries work here. Every kid goes in and comes out with a huge smile and it's so great to see.

I was looking for a nice environment and found Tinkys.
My daughter has a big smile when she arrives at the nursery.
They give a report at the end of the day saying how her day was, which is usually very positive.

I chose Tinky's Day Nursery because it is an independently run, newly opened nursery, close to where I live. Extra curricular activities are included in the fee and when Covid-19 regulations came in, you had the flexibility of dropping off early and late without extra fees or penalties. This isn't something
you find with other nurseries. I have had experience with two different nurseries with my other children and you get more of a personal one on one experience with Tinky's Day Nursery, which I personally haven't experienced anywhere else. The staff are professional and the nursery is well ran with a great balanced food menu. They go above and beyond for the children and parents. I would highly recommend Tinky's Day Nursery to anyone looking for a safe and secure environment for their child.

Tinky's nursery is amazing! I am a mother of two, my son is 10, and my daughter is 1. I hold a BA(HONS) degree in Early Childhood Studies and have over 10 years of experience working in the Early Years sector. When I first graduated I began working in a nursery as a nursery practitioner and gradually worked my way up to become a manager. Throughout this journey, I have gained invaluable skills and knowledge from various professionals that I am proud to share with my staff team.


I am committed to providing a safe, fun and stimulating environment for all children in my setting. My dedicated staff team and I are passionate about sparking children's creativity, imagination and curiosity through carefully planned learning opportunities.


I have always worked in the Early Years sector and I believe that there is nothing more rewarding than watching children thrive and reach their full potential.
