Nestled within the grounds of Kingsteignton Primary School, hdc Kingsteignton Nursery has a modern, home-from-home feel, with access to incredible outdoor spaces promoting an active lifestyle.

The nursery's facilities are specifically designed to recognise the needs of all children at the nursery. Your little one will be cared for, loved, and nurtured throughout their time at Kingsteignton nursery, with a focus on maximising learning opportunities through various activities.

In the Orchard, for the youngest children, the team provide a relaxing and stimulating space, where the children have easy access to the garden, and can participate in outdoor play. This is highly encouraged at the nursery, to further support development and offer an active approach to learning.

The Meadow Room, which is for toddlers, is equipped with a large variety of resources and natural objects to encourage your child's curiosity. Within this room, children have space to explore and imitate the world around them as they become more physically able.

In the Forest Room, for Pre-School, children will experience a mix of child-led and adult-led activities. This room provides great benefit to children's development, such as: increased motivation and concentration, problem solving, resilience and self-regulation skills. Outside the Pre-School has a huge outdoor mud kitchen, which the children love to play, pretending to make potions and bake delicious treats.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

The staff at hdc Kingsteignton have been always been fantastic, friendly, helpful and nothing seems too much trouble.
My child (almost 4) has been at the nursery since he was 14 months and has loved his time through each stage of the nursery.

Was a great nursery in the past worthy of five stars, the past 6+ months more like 1-3 stars as we've had some issues regarding rising fees and the lowering quality of the service, hygiene/cleanliness seems to be falling, unacceptable staffing ratios, child coming home with unknown injuries and generally
poor communication.
The floor staff are fantastic and try their hardest to provide fantastic attentive care. Unfortunately, some days there have not been enough of them to safely do this. We are also sad to see some staff have left/leaving however we can fully understand in light of the above why and wish them the best in their new jobs.
Hopefully, the above problems are just temporary and they will improve again in future. Especially considering the £7 a day price increase.

Absolutely all members of the staff are lovely, they really show they care and my daughter greets them like a family member. They regularly share what she's up to and keep the app up to date. Even staff that aren't her immediate carers know her by sight and say hello to her. We feel very fortunate to
be able to send our daughter to such a lovely place. I couldn't recommend it enough.

Our son only started in September but he has settled really well and is happy at hdc Kingsteignton, making me comfortable leaving him and excited to see him when I collect him, knowing how much fun he will have had.
The app is fantastic and is updated regularly, with photos as well as meals eaten,
which is really reassuring to see when you have to leave your little one.
The staff are all lovely and make an effort to let you know about little one's day. They are very caring and are good at adapting to the needs of the child.

Our daughter absolutely loves going to nursery. The team are always happy to see her and make her feel very welcome. Ever since day one she's gone to nursery with a big smile on her face.
The team always give us a run down on how her day has been when we collect her.
The app is very useful, allowing
us to keep up with what she's eaten/done during the day.
Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since attending nursery and would have no problem recommending HDC to anyone.

The staff have been so supportive of my shy daughter. They have worked hard with her and the results are now showing for themselves. The flexibility of the nursery hours is so convenient for me and my husband who both work shifts. I would recommend anyone to use this facility, thank you for everything!

Both my boys have attended hdc Kingsteignton and I have always been very impressed with the communication between staff and ourselves as parents. When my eldest was there he had issues with his knee and walking and after he had his operation they were fantastic and kept us informed if he was struggling.
My youngest had to have eye drops after an eye operation and they did everything perfectly, the procedure, paperwork and ensuring the eye drops were back in the bag ready for collection. Due to Covid-19 I have not been in the nursery since my little ones settling in sessions, as drop off and pick up are outside. I would recommend this nursery. My boys faces when they are leaving would confirm this.

My son loves going to nursery and doesn't stop talking when I pick him up. He is always so excited to share the adventures he has had that day and the exciting things he has learnt. All the staff are great and I would recommend hdc Kingsteignton one hundred percent.

My daughter has been coming to hdc Kingsteignton for six months now and it’s the highlight of her week, she absolutely loves it. She’s made some special relationships with other children and has a good relationship with the lovely staff. They’re great at communicating via the app and keeping us up to
date with her development with pictures and regular developmental reviews. If we have any worries they always help to ease them! They also provide an excellent variety of healthy food. I would one hundred percent recommend this nursery to anyone.

My little boy has been going to the nursery since the first week it opened and I have seen it from being very quiet to the busy thriving setting it is now. My little one is now in the preschool room and loves it. He skips in happily every day and the staff who look after him are amazing. There is a
real ethos of child led learning, where the preschoolers are able to choose the activities to suit their interests. I am happy that he enjoys it there and cannot fault the team at all.

The preschool staff are absolutely wonderful, my child adores them. My child really seems to enjoy going here and skips in every morning. The preschool room isn't huge but it doesn't matter as they spend so much time outside, its like the outside and inside are one big space.

Wonderfully friendly staff who are very informative. The nursery is purpose built, so clean and modern. My children both love to attend the nursery. They speak very highly of the staff that care for them and really enjoy their "nursery days".
