Finkley Amesbury nursery offers early years education for children up to the age of five.

Staff strongly believe in the importance of learning through play and hands-on experiences.

The nursery is neighboured with Solstice Soft Play, this, partnered with a newly renovated garden gives the children ample opportunity to build on their physical development each day.

Children learn best when they are happy and feel secure. The aim of the curriculum is to work at an unhurried pace and offer a home from home environment with a relaxed rhythm throughout the day where children can interact in their own time, at their own pace, and are encouraged to develop personal, social, emotional, physical, communication & language skills.

The environment is exciting, safe and stimulating. They offer a wide range of experiences inside and outside, where they take into account children’s interests and strengths as well as all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

We could not have chosen a better nursery for our daughter. She is so happy and cannot wait to go in everday. The staff are wonderful and have taught our daughter so much, provided fun activities and given the best standard of care possible.

My son has been attending Finkley nursery for nearly 4 hours and my son has absolutely fallen in love with everyone there. He was only 10 months old when he started and would cry on handover and be very shy and within a couple of weeks attending he is jumping to go into the baby room! i have no felt
so at ease leaving my little boy with this nursery all day they take the best care of him and have the best handovers so i really feel like i've been apart of his day!

My son has been going to this nursery for just over a year and he's come on so much. The staff are really lovely and always happy to answer any questions I have about his development. The handovers are great, and he absolutely loves going to nursery. I never have any worries when he's there as I know
he's being really well looked after.

I would give the staff more starts if I could!!

"I can't wait to go to Little Druids today to see all my friends because us is a team!" - my four year old, who has been attending since he was 20 months.

As a parent, I love the nurturing environment that Little Druids has created for my child. The staff are all fantastic and put a lot of care and

love into the children, all the while keeping us informed of their development and highlighting anything that needs more attention. I am also impressed with the skills my child attains while at the nursery and it is clear the teachers want to achieve the maximum potential for all children.

Our eldest enjoyed Little Druids from baby to school and now our youngest has started his journey there too. The staff at Little Druids are fantastic and welcoming and care for every child as the individuals they are.
Our children have thrived at Little Druids. With barely a backwards glance at drop-off
and great relationships with the other children and staff, I know they are happy at the nursery too.

My daughter has been going to Little Druids since she was 6 months old and absolutely loves it there. Planning to send our second too soon. The variety of activities the children do on a day-to-day basis is great, the staff is very friendly and the food menu is varied and healthy.

My son loves his time at Little Druids! His favourite thing after the staff would be the direct access to Solstice Play during his time at the nursery where he gets to run around the soft play with his little mates. He's always doing drawings/paintings/arts and crafts which means it's getting harder
to see the fridge at home now, but he's always a happy little boy when I come to collect him at the end of every day!

This is a message I have just written to Little Druids Nursery;
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to tell you of a lovely conversation I had with my husband after he’d attended the Parent’s Workshop last Wednesday. He called me as he was driving home and the first thing he said to me was “You
did so well getting our son into that nursery, thank you for doing that for him. They are so aligned with how we are raising him, I can see why he is thriving so much”.
As soon as I visited Little Druids I knew it felt right, but I had to visit one other to make sure, just that I was doing right by him and well, the rest is history! I cannot thank you enough for the care that you show our little one.
We feel incredibly lucky to have found the most wonderfully holistic childcare for our little one, their kindness and patience from the moment he started have reaped rewards for his time in nursery as well as at home.

As a childcare practitioner myself, I knew what I was looking for when I started searching for a nursery for my little boy. Little Druids ticks all these boxes and more.
Initially being very nervous about leaving my little boy in a new setting after the covid pandemic, I instantly felt relaxed in their
homely environment. My little boy had an amazing first impression and I knew he would thrive here. He built bonds straight away and hasn't looked back!
Six months down the line and I'm not disappointed at all. This was 100% the best choice of nursery by far. All of the staff bend over backward for you and your children. My son's learning and development has never been better, he's come on so much. I'm kept up to date with what he's doing and his needs, I'm given advice when I need it, and overall amazing support.
Little Druids provides an outstanding early years experience that I'm forever thankful my child has been able to receive.

Picking a nursery for your little one is so stressful. I made an appointment with Little Druids and instantly knew this was the place for us. The staff are incredible, and for me that was the number one priority. At Little Druids they really care about the children (and that can't be said for all the
places I visited). My little one loves going to ‘school’ and doesn't look back, he just runs in for cuddles.
He has learnt so much while he has been there and has such a great time with lots of varied activities. Each day he comes home with a little report about what he has done, how he has been, what he ate and how long he napped. My little one was having issues with eating wheat which the doctors were looking at, they took this very seriously and at the drop of a hat they changed his menu!
I highly recommend.

We recently moved to the area in January 2021 and my daughter started at Little Druids in May, after 4 months of being at home with me. Understandably she was a little upset for the first week or two when I dropped her off, but after two weeks she now cannot wait to get to nursery! I can’t thank the
team enough for how well they have welcomed my daughter and how amazing and accommodating they have been to help her settle back into nursery life. My daughter's speech and development has come on leaps and bounds. Being a first-time mum, returning to work after 4 months off, with a husband currently away on exercise for several months; they have been a real support, not just to my daughter, but to me as well! Their care and dedication is next level and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

He can be really challenging most days and they cope with him really well. They supply all the resources he needs to be able to learn and develop how he should. Can't fault

We send our son to this nursery, I am the most overprotective mother on the planet and I feel so happy leaving him here, he absolutely loves it and describes children and staff alike as his best friends. The soft play area that they access is such a bonus! They do so many fun activities, I get a full
rundown of what he’s done, eaten etc at pick up. Not a lot of outdoor space which I wondered might be an issue at first but it’s really not, they go on walks for fresh air and utilise the local area which I think is brilliant and as mentioned have the soft play area so on rainy days they still get exercise! Our son is so happy here, so much so he often forgets to say goodbye to me when I drop him off as he’s running in! I think it’s so important to have trust and faith in your child’s nursery that they will care for your child as you would when they are in their care, I have that with this nursery and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it and encourage others to send their children there.

Our daughter has been going to Little Druids for over 18 months. She absolutely loves it and has come on leaps and bounds since starting. She is leaving in the next 3 weeks to start big girl school. This nursery is everything a parent wants when they are leaving their little ones. The staff are all amazing and every single one of them makes your child feel like they are the most special child in the world. The facilities are great, I mean what child doesn’t want to have access to soft play! There
is a definite family feel to this setting which makes it just that little bit more appealing than any other nursery around. My son has been coming here since February and the owners have been amazing and very accommodating, if I have wanted to change anything, usually last minute. My child loves everything about this nursery and tells me daily about all his best friends there, funny coincidence they are all the staff's names included. I can not recommend Little Druids enough and every child should experience the love and care that all the staff give to the children there. If I could do this all again I would pick this nursery over and over again. Thanks guys.

My children have been going here for over a year now, started at 3.5yr and just under 2. They have thrived, made really strong friendship bonds with the other children and key workers. The classes are small so they get the attention they need. It has felt like an extended family. Highly recommend and

Current Review Score: 9.4 (9.355)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.4 (9.355) out of 10 for Finkley Amesbury Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.880 for Finkley Amesbury Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (73 Excellents x 5) + (10 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.88
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.475 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Finkley Amesbury Nursery and Preschool is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 40 number of registered child places is 8. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 8 = 0.875
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
