Great and Small Kindergarten

10 plus, could not recommend any better place.

My daughter has only been going to Great and Small Kindergarten for a short time (since January) but she's settled in so well and really enjoys going. They're so accommodating and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We loved the fact that it's a small setting and not overcrowded. The girls that work there are lovely too and you can tell they absolutely love their job.

All members of staff are friendly and very good at what they do!

My daughter has recently started to attend Great and Small Kindergarten (January 2023) and I can not recommend them highly enough. My child is a very shy 2-year-old when around adults and children she does not know but has really started to come out of her shell since going to nursery. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and are always on hand to offer help with any questions or queries I may have. She has learnt an awful lot in such a short space of time and it’s wonderful to see her blossom.

My little boy loves it at nursery. He talks about nursery a lot at home and asks if he is going most mornings. The messy and outdoor play is perfect for him and tires him out for an early bedtime! They do really nice activities every day. My little boy has only been for 2 months and he is talking more and is learning so many new words.

Thank you for quickly adapting my daughter to the English average. Her cheerful mood in the morning and after visiting kindergarten is the best proof that she is happy to be in your neighbourhood. You are a great team of professionals. Thank you.

My son has been attending Great and Small Kindergarten for almost 18 months, and even though he's starting school this September he'll definitely be attending holiday club at Great and Small as he loves the staff and setting so much and they're all fantastic with him. It's daunting for any parent choosing a nursery for your child, and trusting whose hands they're going to be in. But after looking around multiple nurseries Great and Small was perfect. My son is nonverbal and autistic, much of the diagnosis process has happened whilst he's been at nursery and they've been so hands-on and supportive. The small intimate setting and the amount of time they spend playing outside is perfect for my little boy, and all the staff go out of their way to make sure he's happy and accommodated, which can be difficult with a child that can't speak, but I couldn't have asked for a better nursery for him and would highly recommend to any parent. All the staff are fantastic and keep you updated, we'll be sad to say goodbye!

We can highly recommend Great and Small Kindergarten. We enrolled our son in both settings and he absolutely loved every minute of his time there. The forest school is amazing, he was always so excited to go and play in the outdoors and it has taught him skills he wouldn't have learnt anywhere else. The preschool is as equally fantastic, the staff are caring and informative and there wasn't a single day our little boy didn't want to go. In both settings, they took their time to get to know him and what he needed and he has flourished with their support.

My daughter goes to this nursery and she absolutely loves it. She loves it that much that she even wants to go on her days off. The staff are fantastic and keep me updated on day to day activities and on how my daughter has progressed over the months of being there. I would highly recommend this nursery, absolutely fantastic all around.

I recommend the nursery to all parents because it teaches and educates my second child. My children are happy and willingly go to the nursery. Thank you to the whole team for such wonderful care.

My child is absolutely loving kindergarten. He’s making so much progress and the activities reflect the children’s interests and needs. It’s like a small family where all the staff know each child well. Absolutely love this nursery. I love that I can use the funded hours without additional costs incurred. A variety of snacks are offered morning and afternoon. My boy loves it when they go for walks to the shops or the park. They are amazing.

My son attended Great and Small Kindergarten for about a year when it first opened and we had a really positive experience. Because of that, it was the obvious choice when my daughter was old enough to attend. I didn’t look anywhere else as I knew that it was a lovely environment and that a lot of the same staff worked there. In fact, my daughter's key worker has known her since she was born from my son's time there and reached out to let me know she was looking forward to looking after her. I’m very happy with the experience that we’ve had so far over the last few months, especially as we’ve been going through the potty training process! They’ve been so flexible and supportive!

Great and Small Kindergarten is a wonderful setting. They have nurtured and prepared our son for his next chapter in his education.

Great and Small Kindergarten is beautiful, it was such a hard transition sending my little one to nursery at first, then having increasing hours around my studying but the staff have just been with us every step of the way. My little one loves the staff, literally loves them and to say he'd barely leave my side at first, that's massive. Two years has flown by. Two years of learning and play, play and learning, art, drawing, singing songs and him talking of his little friends about how they are all friends. Just a lovely place and lovely, personable and supportive staff, who have made life a whole lot easier and brighter many a time.

An absolutely amazing nursery, both settings are brilliant. My daughter absolutely loved her time here with the manager and the team. They helped so much with my daughters transition to school. Cannot recommend it enough.

Absolutely amazing staff, who all focus on each individual child and the needs they may have. My son personally loved the forest school and had such a bond with all the staff. He still has friends he made whilst he was attending.

I have had two children attend Great and Small Kindergarten and have had nothing but amazing and positive experiences with them, they have supported not only my children but myself as well. Feels like a family rather than a nursery and this means so much to me as a mother, knowing my child is being cared for and loved rather than just looked after.

This nursery is just amazing, I can't tell you enough! My little girl followed in her brothers footsteps at a lovely nursery that he loved but she just wasn't happy and wasn't thriving like I had imagined, then I came across this little gem! We went for a look around and I just knew it was the one for her, so we moved her. The staff were lovely, friendly and approachable and the nursery whilst it looked basic on first views, was full of fun. They allow the children to be free and encourage outdoor play in all weathers and my little girl came on so much whilst attending here. She came out of her shell and made friends, something which before she had struggled with. The nursery got her ready for school despite being the baby of the year and she started no further behind than the eldest children! She was always happy to go, often asking to attend on days she was not down for because she enjoyed it that much. There was forever a smile on her face when she was there, I couldn't of been a happier Mum!

My daughter started here in January 2019, she's absolutely thrived being there. Her speech and ability to communicate has improved so much. They've helped not only with her development but also with eating issues we were having with her at home too! My daughter always says how much she loves her 'school' and how much fun she's had. The staff are amazing, so helpful and work alongside you and are so supportive. Would recommend to anyone.
