Busy Bees Castle Quay nursery school has everything a child needs to reach their potential; excellent play areas, outdoor learning for children to explore the world around them, computers to let children embrace technology and varied education provided by highly experienced staff.

Children benefit from lessons in dance, French, music and drama and other core subjects, along with access to a comprehensive library and an ICT area. The education programme is structured but inquisitiveness is encouraged.

The nursery school takes advantage of Jersey's beautiful beaches and forests where children can learn about marine life and the science, history and geology on their doorstep.

Balanced and mostly organic food, which is prepared on-site using fresh and seasonal ingredients, is provided with dietary requirements catered for. The children are introduced to fruit and vegetables and encouraged to make healthy choices and to understand where their food comes from.

We had such a lovely and welcoming experience for our daughter's induction and first month at nursery. The staff are so friendly and make us all feel welcome. They never make us feel as though they are too busy to talk to you about your child's day.

My child loves going to nursery and gets along with his key worker very well. From all reports, he is doing well and is developing very well. From my perspective, the nursery feels safe and secure, clean and organised. All the staff are welcoming and friendly and honestly consider them our extended
family at times! I would and have recommended new parents to consider joining.

Job Title: Centre Director Joined: 2020

Hello, my name is Amber and I am the Centre Director here at Castle Quay. I have been in Childcare for over 10 years with a wide range of experience. I have completed my CACHE Diploma in Childcare and Education along with my Leadership and Management Qualification.

I have worked in a variety of childcare establishments including schools, nurseries, nannying and caring for children with special educational needs. As a parent myself, I have an understanding of what I would want from a Nursery provision.  I am passionate about ensuring we build strong partnerships with all of our families, and working together to ensure we give children the best start in life.

We aim to give all children stimulating learning opportunities and let them learn through play and curiosity.

It is a joy to watch the children grow into confident young learners.
