The staff were efficient in getting my son enrolled and helped with everything he started the same week. With everything in place to make the setting a safe environment in these challenging times.
Although very brief, he thoroughly enjoyed his time a The Shepherd’s Hut, he bounces through the gate and came out at the end of the day tired and muddy, with stories of what he’d done and the adventures he had with his new friends.
We shall be booking our son on to next years Holiday Club.
Thank you for being an amazing setting.
Thank you so much, we're so pleased to have been able to be part of your son's journey and we look forward to seeing you soon.
Our sons genuinely think that they go to nursery at 'Never Never Land', not only because of the amazing dens that they build, or the adventures that they go on daily but because "all the boys and girls are always so happy". This nursery is simply magical and the staff strive so hard to ensure that our boys have the fullest childhood possible. We would recommend it full-heartedly.
Our daughter bounds out at the end of the day full of enthusiasm for what she has done. Her sleep, mood and appetite have all improved!
Great nursery with a lovely, kind and welcoming atmosphere. Our daughter loves going and has flourished. She comes home singing new tunes and showing us what's she's made. Often she tells us about playing with the other children and staff like they are all her friends. The mixed age group is great and the other parents are very welcoming too.

Erica is a fully qualified Teacher with over 20 years of experience. She has also trained and qualified as a Forest School Leader (in 2010) and runs Forest School programmes in schools alongside our teaching commitments. In 2014 Chiltern Forest School Ltd was born. Our aim is to offer the Forest School experience to a wider range of children and this led to the opening of The Shepherd’s Hut Outdoor Day Nursery.
My experiences have shown me the huge benefits of learning in an outdoor, natural environment generally and of the Forest School ethos specifically. Recently there have been numerous studies which indicate that time spent in a woodland or other outdoor environment has an extremely important and positive effect on mental well-being.
