Lets Explore Day Nursery Horley opened in 2019 alongside the Lets Explore Soft Play centre and has been designed to aid learning through play from the Sea Cadet baby room, Jungle Adventurers toddler room and Space Explorers Pre-School room.

The nursery cares for children from birth to five years old. They are registered with Ofsted and are members of the National Day Nurseries Association. They aim to give parents the chance to balance family and work responsibilities with minimum tension and maximum stability. Their experienced and qualified DBS checked staff will give your child the highest quality of care throughout the day and record your child’s progress and development through an interactive app where parents can keep track throughout the day. They offer your child the scope to acquire and master skills, learn to communicate, gain confidence and most of all to have fun. They present a wide range of activities that promote your child’s physical, intellectual, emotional and social skills, as well as language development. These skills will be developed through both organised and child-led play to stimulate initiative and imagination. The baby unit caters for little ones under two years old within a comfortable setting. They offer the opportunity to explore and learn in a safe environment and each child has their own cot or bed for rest periods. As the babies approach their second birthday, they are gently integrated with the older children to make the transition from the “baby room seamless and enjoyable.

  • The prices above include the supplement daily charge for the funded hours £4.06, £4.87 and £8.12 for Half Day, School day and Full Day sessions respectively.


    Annual fee increases are calculated in November every year and implemented in January ensuring we give all families a 1 month notice period.


    Additional services that are not delivered as a part of the governments funded hours are charged as a daily supplement. These additional services are meals, snacks and extracurricular activities. The supplement fee is non-obligitory and should you have any concerns about this charge please speak to the nursery manager.


    Please note that Lets Explore has a 'no food over the threshold' policy so parents providing their own meals would not be an alternative. This is due to the number of children in the nursery with allergies, we would not wish to put their safety at risk and parents have been very understanding of this.

This nursery provides personalised care for my children. The children are content and learning through play. I've watched my daughters grow in confidence through interacting with their peers and developing bonds with their key workers. Great nursery!

Our daughter started in July when she was just under 9 months old. I cannot recommend Let’s Explore enough as she loves going there 3 days a week. The staff keep in touch with us using a great app - I can see what she’s eaten, when she’s slept, how many nappies she’s gone through, etc. We also get regular
reports on her development and interests. The staff clearly love her so much and it makes being back at work so much easier!

My son has been going here for about two years now and he loves it. He goes straight in and has so much more confidence now and the staff are all so good with him and take the time to let us know each day how he has got in and what he has been doing. Highly recommend.

I honestly could not recommend Let’s Explore more. With a long background in education, as a primary school teacher and then primary headship, I was worried that too much knowledge would be a bad thing! However, I could not have been happier with the care shown towards my daughter, who also has Special
Educational Needs. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble, I also find the staff so kind and patient with my daughter who can, at times, be very needy. It’s a superb nursery, and runs very efficiently with super communication and parent contact.

Lets Explore has always been great. We’ve had the best experience with our little man when he was in the youngest room and were a bit apprehensive (as first-time parents) about him moving up and leaving his friends/key worker. He has, however, after 2 weeks settled in amazingly and is growing ever closer
to his new key worker and all the other team members in the room. Just goes to show what a good balanced team of individuals they have. Wouldn’t change it for the world. He’s also developed over the past few weeks at an exceptional rate with his speech, dexterity and overall progress.

Both my children attend Lets Explore and both started in the Baby Room, have moved up to the Toddler Room and my eldest is now in the Preschool Room.
They are both really happy there and get so excited to attend every day. I couldn't praise the staff enough. They are all so lovely and will always go
out of their way to help. The activities they set up every day for all the kids are great and I can really see big improvements in both of my kids' understanding, communication and confidence since being there.
My daughter is currently awaiting a diagnosis for autism and the staff have all been so amazing and supportive, despite it being surely very challenging for them at times. I am really grateful everything they have put in place for her.
I would 100% recommend Let's Explore as a day nursery and can confidently say your children will be very well looked after there.

My son has attended let's explore since September. His development has come on leaps and bounds. Especially with his speech and interaction with other children. Before he started he had huge separation anxiety from me. Leaving to just pop out for milk was a major thing. But since being here the team
has shown him he can have fun away from home and myself.
The team are all very caring and know the children on a one to one basis. This goes right up to management. Very happy with my choice to send my son here.

Our son is 17 months and has been at the nursery since last March and he absolutely loves it, even getting excited when we turn into the road before the car park! All of the staff are amazing and support us as parents too when needed to always sharing information with us. The team in the room are great
and he has a really strong relationship with his key worker who is absolutely incredible. Everyone at the nursery has helped him develop into a very happy and confident little boy, the recent ofsted report is very much deserved and we are so happy to have found this gem!

My child has been with the nursery for around a year, since aged one. We absolutely love it here. He has formed really strong relationships with his carers, and always goes in with a smile. My daughter has been attending Lets Explore since she was 9 months old and I cannot believe how much she has developed and grown over the last 11 months there. The team are beyond incredible, with so many activities and a constant stream of updates and pictures of what she gets up to! My daughter has

My daughter has been attending this nursery for approx 18 months now and she really enjoys it. The staff are very friendly and caring. She has made some great relationships with staff and children. Having recently gone through a family crisis and separation the nursery supported my daughter and myself
through such a difficult time. They also provided extra resources for my daughter at the nursery and also for her to take home, to help reassure and comfort her. Overall a really lovely team and nursery and I am pleased I chose Lets Explore.

My daughter has attended Lets Explore since she was two and a half. She loves it, and so do we! Great staff and a lovely atmosphere. She's formed real bonds with staff and children alike, and her learning skyrocketed since attending.
It's reasonably priced and flexible, and their most recent Ofsted
inspection is a reflection of the excellent staff and facilities on offer.

Our two year old currently attends Lets Explore and our oldest daughter attended for two and a half years before going to school. We could not be happier with the care and education that the whole team provide. We are continuously updated with reports and pictures of their day to day cares and activities,
and their development too. This is all via a secure app. As parents we have a good trusting relationship with every single staff member, and and our children adore them. We would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been attending Let's Explore since Sept 2020, and he absolutely loves it. His confidence has grown so much as he struggled when he first started, being very upset at drop off. The staff were great with dealing with this, providing me reassurance that he had settled very quickly and was happy
playing.
The staff are amazing and always give a great update at the end of the day about what they have been up too. My son has learnt so much, and really enjoys coming to Let's explore!

My three-year-old son started in the toddler room and settled in really well. He had been attending another nursery but unfortunately, it didn't work out for us as a family. However, Lets Explore have been amazing in helping him settle and he loves coming into preschool now and asks every day if it's

A supportive, caring and friendly environment.
My daughter is 15 months and has been at Lets Explore Day Nursery since she was 10 months. She is thriving, sociable and such a happy girl.
Currently, she is in sea cadets - all the teachers in that room are so caring and lovely with her. They take time
to get to know the parent as well as their babies
My daughter's key worker is brilliant! She has helped my daughter with her communication skills immensely. She is really empathetic and devises great activities for the development of the babies.
The app they use to keep us updated is so thorough and helpful. It gives us regular updates, messages, photos and development reports.
I loved at Christmas, receiving a bag of arts and crafts that were really creative, special and sweet! A super surprise and something to treasure for years!
The garden is amazing - my child loves it.
She loves it at nursery! It's so reassuring as a working mum!

I am Melanie Wing and I am the Room Leader of Sea Cadets who are our early dippers in the world of knowledge and learning!


I am a qualified NNEB, Social Worker and a mum. I have worked in Childcare for over 25 years with children aged birth to 15 years. As a Sea Cadet crew member, I am willing to sing, dance, crawl around and get totally messy in sensory play. Making a fool of yourself is fun and the basis of secure attachments so for my little Cadets to have oodles of hugs and buckets of laughter every day is crucial.


In fact, I'll do whatever it takes so that my little Cadets thrive and grow into happy passengers on their learning voyage through Let's Explore.
