Sutton Valence School - Nursery

I am Mrs Foster, and I am the Nursery Manager at Sutton Valence School Nursery. I hold a degree in Early Years Education, and I have worked in the education and early years sector for almost ten years.

My passion for children is to allow them to thrive in our care and become as independent as possible with the support and guidance from the team around them. I love to have happy children in my care and will always do my best to see the children reach their full potential in every way possible.

Hobby – Musical Theatre

Hi, I’m Wendy, and I will be one of your teaching assistants here at the Nursery. I am qualified in Level 3 BTEC Early Childhood Studies, and I have worked here for almost 13 years.

My favourite things are playing and teaching the children how to build small and large construction sets, and hopefully, one day I will be hiring one of them to build my retirement home!

Hi, I’m Alison, and I will be one of your Nursery assistants.

I joined the team in September 2020 and have my CACHE Level 3 in Early Years Education, but I am currently studying part-time for my university degree. I enjoy spending time with the children and watching their imaginations grow!

Hobby – Dancing and theatre

I’m Tina, and I am a Nursery assistant here at the Nursery. I hold a CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) in addition to a diploma in banking and finance.

I was born and raised in Ghana (West Africa). I have since spent 12 years living in the Middle East (Bahrain and Abu Dhabi) with my husband and two children, where I also studied for post-school qualifications and worked in other nurseries.

We moved back to the UK in late 2020, and I have been working for Sutton Valence School Nursery since 2021. I believe that it is important that children are able to learn in a safe environment. They need to be able to explore and adventure in their own personal way. In my experience, children develop faster with a steady routine that has clearly set boundaries.

Working in early years education is by far the most rewarding job, as you see young children develop at the fastest pace, and yet they remain extremely innocent, blunt in their descriptions and remarkably flamboyant with their personalities.

Hi, my name is Paula. I am a Nursery assistant here at the Nursery. I have an NVQ 3 in Early Years care and education, and have worked in Early Years childcare for 27 years. I joined the team at Little Lambs in October 2021, and I enjoy my role of supporting the children in their play - I am a big kid and enjoy working with children on their level!

Hi, my name is Amanda (or Mandy), and I work as a Nursery Assistant in the Nursery from 3 pm daily.

I joined the team in January 202,2 and I am currently studying for the CACHE Level 3 Award in Childcare and Education.

I hold a degree in Social Policy and Administration and a diploma in Counselling, and I am also a part-time counsellor, working for two local charities.

I enjoy helping to provide a happy, encouraging, nurturing experience for all the children in Sutton Valence School Nursery.
