A warm and welcoming pre-school set in the heart of the lovely Cator Park, in Beckenham. The pre-school uses the Montessori teaching method, which is based on a deep respect for children as unique individuals.

They are one of only 50 other pre-schools in the country to have successfully completed the accreditation three times in a row. Children are free to choose, explore and enjoy learning experiences in the nursery's outdoor and indoor classrooms. This method has shown to help foster independence, confidence, a sense of pride in their achievements and positive self-esteem from an early age.

Teachers are passionate about the nursery's mission to create inspiring worlds full of awe and wonder for little ones to grow and thrive in. Each small class has a dedicated teacher to meet the teaching and learning needs for the specific age.

With access to the park and lots of outdoor adventure space, the children’s days are filled with unique moments and opportunities to enrich their development. At Cator Park, they create meaningful relationships with every parent so you will never miss an opportunity to share in the joy of your child’s developmental and learning moments.

Staff are, by and large, friendly and caring. There is a good range of activities and the park setting is fresh. Inside is a little run down and there are surprisingly no excursions into the park - just a small garden.


Found out about extra charges (£26 per day) at time of invoicing. No breakdown

offered but justified as due to the range of activities on offer such as Spanish, baking and yoga.

Our 2 and a half year old has settled so well into Cator Park nursery and that’s with much thanks to the staff and management who have gone out of their way to make his experiences there interesting, sociable and fun. I really feel the teachers here care about the children, they show them kindness and
respect and in turn, the children show it to each other. He’s learned so much in just 1 term, baking, yoga, the celebrations of Diwali, as well as all the standard Montessori learning through play. The regular updates with photos each week are reassuring and give us an insight into his development there too. We look forward to hearing many more of his stories and adventures at nursery!

We are so happy our little ones are at Cator Park. They’ve grown in confidence and independence in just one term. The staff are lovely and genuinely interested in our children, their learning and wellbeing. Just wish we’d sent our eldest here, she would’ve loved it. Highly recommend.

My daughter enjoys going to the nursery every day and comes back with a happy face every day. I can see that my daughter trusts teachers in the nursery which makes her feel secure during her stay. They take a wide range of cultural events which I can also learn and enjoy with her and always try to provide
something she feels enjoyable and challenging.
I am so happy with our nursery including teacher and parent atmospheres. Highly recommended.

My son has been at Cator Park since September and absolutely loves it here. Although his speech is delayed he has shown lots of growth and an increase in confidence in using language.
When I collect him at the end of the day he always looks very happy with himself and content.

Cator Park Montessori is our best choice ever.
Our son loves to spend time there and we trust each teacher in doing a great job.
The activities are very varied, including yoga, and Spanish lessons.
They benefit from a great surrounding, being immersed in a lovely park.
Highly recommended.

My daughter is currently attending Cator park Montessori so did my son 2 years ago. The location is great, right in the middle of a park, kids get to be outdoors when they feel like it. It’s also a small warm environment with fantastic mature teachers that respect the little ones. My daughter very much
enjoys her 3 days at her preschool. I’ve visited a few nurseries/preschools in the area, at the time my son started they only took kids at 2 year and 9 months, this did not stop me from wanting to enroll him and wait, but now this age limit has gone down to 2 years.
Highly recommend Cator park Montessori to any parent.

My son loves to go to Cator Park nursery, and most importantly he comes out with a smile on his face everyday. The teachers do different activities constantly to keep the children engaged and really work on the areas they feel they need the most. Couldn’t recommend this nursery enough.

We love Cator Park Montessori. We sent our first child, now 6 years old, to Cator Park and loved it just as much as we do now. It is a calm, caring, and supportive environment for our 3-year-old. She loves it there and has made great connections with staff and other children. The parent/staff interaction

We recently enrolled our son to the pre-school and have been impressed with the organisation of the enrolment, the range of activities for the kids and the imposition of a more structured class which our son’s previous nursery lacked. The feedback from teachers is extremely honest and helpful - I like
the fact that as a parent you are seen as having the responsibility to reinforce the good behaviours that are taught in preschool. There is no slacking! I feel our son is certainly learning and adapting. I’d like to thank all of the staff who are doing an outstanding job, we are very pleased we moved!

This is our son's second year at Cator Montessori and we absolutely love it.
To begin with, the teachers to kids ratio is brilliant, our son gets a lot of 1-2-1 time. They really know them and understand his needs and the best way to support him. They are sweet, nurturing and very supportive to parents
when we feel slightly lost.
I love how much they encourage diversity and make an effort to introduce other cultures.
You can expect poetry readings, Chinese New Year celebrations and lots of other fun activities. Parents are also very involved and they are invited to contribute.
I really love the team and the leadership of the preschool. They do all the right things parents aspire to do but reality gets in the way. Cator Montessori is a learning, creativity and friendship heaven and I just wish time didn't go so quickly and we didn’t have to move to school. We will miss them a lot.

A wonderful nursery/pre-school, very knowledgable, friendly staff who really care. Our little one loves going to nursery and is excited to tell us all about it when we collect her. The staff are exceptional so nurturing, they provide a very high standard of care and education. Our little one has learnt
so much already in just her first term and she gets very excited for Fridays Meditation and relaxation. She also loves going on nature trails in the park which is just outside. Facilities and equipment/toys are great. We cannot find a fault.

An exceptional pre-school which creates a rich learning environment and instils a sense of responsibility in the children who attend. Staff seem engaged and care greatly about the development of the children. Located in Cator Park it provides a wonderful setting with activities often in the park. We
had a wonderful experience with our first child who went on to start primary school in September 2019. Our second child has just started as a result. Highkt recommended.
