My daughter has been at Rainbow since she was 18 months old. I worried about her socialisation and speech due to being born during Covid, but she has come on leaps and bounds since joining. I am so thankful to all of the staff and managers for how well they look after my daughter, and feel so happy
for her to go to nursery each day.

I’ve had two children attend this nursery (one of which still attends). Both of my children have enjoyed attending this nursery. Any concerns they will contact you straight away. Equally, if my husband or myself have any concerns with regard to our children’s development or other issues, the staff were
able to help and advise. The staff are very approachable, kind and happy to keep our children in a friendly environment.

All the staff are so helpful and kind. My children absolutely love going to nursery and have some really special bonds with some of the staff. They all are incredibly hardworking and patient. They always listen to anything you have to say and consider each child as an individual. Many times they have
helped me to exit my children from the building at the end of the day. The updates on the app are beautiful and communication is always excellent.

My daughter has been attending Rainbow Day Nursery since she was a year old and will be starting reception in September. She loves attending and has lots of little friends, as well as lovely relationships with the staff. The girls in the nursery worked tirelessly through the pandemic and always ensured
the children were well cared for and safe. They do the best they can with the space within the building and encourage the children to play outside when possible. We will be sad when we don’t have to use the nursery any more but know the staff have made sure the children are as prepared as they can be for the transition to reception.

Our son has been attending Rainbow Day Nursery since September 2022, attending full-time, and is absolutely loving it there. The administration aspect of Rainbow is brilliant - very friendly and easy to deal with - and the nursery nurses are amazing. He has bonded really well with his key worker and
his development has come along leaps and bounds in the time he has attended.

My daughter joined the nursery in April 2022 and I have nothing to say but positives. My daughter has thrived in their setting and this nursery supported all of the hospital workers throughout the pandemic. When I was offered a new role in the hospital, the nursery accommodated a change in days and
hours to support this move. My daughter's confidence, amazing speech and happiness is all thanks to the enthusiastic and caring members of staff that work at the Hospital Nursery

The staff are all so lovely and keep us really up to date with our child’s progress. They clearly engage with the children really well as our little one comes home talking about them and looks forward to going back. The staff take the time to write really nice personalised messages and observations.

The staff at Rainbow Day Nursery are amazing, they are also kind and caring. Both my kids have been going for a few years and have never been sad or happy to leave me. I know that they are well cared for and that the staff look after them well. On another note the nursery have been amazing through the
pandemic. As an NHS nursery they have strived to keep open to allow us to go to work and have tried their best to make everything run as normal as possible. The manager is always very helpful when I need to change my days due to shift changes which is very helpful. This flexibility is something that is really valuable when you work shift work.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.7 (9.731) out of 10 for Rainbow Day Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.881 for Rainbow Day Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (150 Excellents x 5) + (16 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 168 Ratings = 4.881
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.85 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Rainbow Day Nursery is based on 14 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 3.85
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 59 number of registered child places is 11.8, which has been reached with 14 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
