Barking Riverside Nursery & Pre-School

My 2 year old son loves the nursery, looks forward to going and we can see the benefits and development that can be directly attributed to the nursery. Initial concerns about the turnover of staff but that seems to have settled. No complaints. Staff seem to genuinely care.

My eldest went to this nursery until last year and it was great. Staff were amazing. Supported us in settling and toilet training, they ran workshops, told us about progress, did parents evening regularly and got him school ready. We had great experience. My youngest now attends here but the standards have unfortunately fallen so much. Less information is provided to us, they have stopped uploading meals- the reason that was given to us is that staff need more one-to-one time for children the reason that was given to us is that staff need more one-to-one time for children and they do not have time to upload meals?? handover is poor and a lot of the time we hear "I don't know", workshops are less and parents evening has completely stopped- my child has been here for 10 months and nothing. I also feel that there is lack of communication between staff members and staff turnover is quick which impacts the child. The location is good for the area and overall is good, but was excellent.

I am extremely happy with LEYF Barking Riverside, my daughter started at the beginning of this year and since then I have seen a big improvement in her social skills and there has been a huge development in her growth of confidence. The LEYF team at Barking riverside have always communicated with me well and always reassured me when she first struggled to settle. The nursery is very clean and tidy, I know that my child is well taken care of here and she has a safe and secure environment. The food that is provided for her is nutritious, filling, and very yummy as I know from the app how little, most or all of her food which she has finished. I appreciated the communication they keep with us parents over the app as this gives us a little insight of what our children get up to during they day. I highly recommend this nursery to parents who are looking for a safe, loving, homely and friendly environment for their little ones.

We are extremely satisfied with LEYF Nursery Barking Riverside and the entire staff team. Since our son started attending, we've seen remarkable growth in him. As a parent, I'm extremely pleased with Barking Riverside Nursery & Pre-School, LEYF (The London Early Years Foundation). The staff are warm, caring and genuinely invested in the children's development. My child always looks forward to attending and has made significant progress since starting. The nursery environment is safe, clean and filled with diverse activities that keep the kids engaged and happy. Communication with the staff is excellent, they keep us well-informed about our child's day and growth. Overall, Barking Riverside, LEYF has exceeded our expectations and we're grateful for the wonderful care they provide.

I am really happy to have my son at this nursery. He is always happy to go and he seems to learn a lot. Teachers are really caring and go the extra mile to help you in case you have any concerns on your child. They also provide some useful training and organise opportunities for families to celebrate with the kids.

Overall, it has been a positive experience with the nursery. My review reflects the level of service when compared to other private nurseries. The teachers are fantastic but there are definite areas of improvement (communication, updates and quality of the projects the children are involved in). Over the course of time my child has been with the nursery, there has been a lot of turnaround of the staff which can affect the children and the weekly updates tend to reflect this. The outdoor space to play is also quite small and limits the activities that children can get involved in.

The assortment of skills our children have developed over the years confirms that the environment they are in makes them feel safe which, as a parent, is reassuring!

Great facilities and amazing staff. They are lovely people that take pride in their job. My son has been with them since 9 months old, he made his first steps there and learned so many things. So pleased with my choice of nursery. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff members. My kids had learned a lot from this amazing nursery. As a mother, I have felt safe and secure to drop my kids to this nursery because I can see that the staff members really care about the children.

My son attended at Leyf Barking Riverside Nursery & Pre-School from 13 months old until 4 years old when he left for reception and I cannot thank enough and be more grateful for all the care, learning opportunities, amazing environment and well knowledge staff and management who always receive you with a big smile and provides us updates during the day through their app and feedbacks at the end of the day. From his settling period to his time in pre-school, he just loved to be at the nursery and will truly miss it as the atmosphere feels like family. Three things I also would like to highlight are the menu that changes seasonally giving the opportunity for children to try something different, trips outside the nursery which he was always so excited to tell me about and all events, such as Mother's/Father's Day, Christmas and Cultural Evening that was absolutely spotless. Once again, I would like to say a big thank you for all the staff in Leyf who left unforgettable memories to my child and to us, as parents.

The facilities are great for the kids and their development.

The nursery is very good at updating me with information at the end of the day, they also update during the day through an app.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at The London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) Nursery! From the moment we enrolled our 3-year-old, we have seen tremendous progress and development. The staff at LEYF are exceptional - they are not only professional and caring but also truly invested in the growth and well-being of each child. I'm sad that my child will be moving on to pre-school but happy for his experience there.

A lovely nursery where lots of effort is made to ensure the children have days filled with varied and fun activities that are age-appropriate. They really take the time to get to know each individual child and respond to their needs. We get lots of updates on how the children are getting on during the day and the staff are always happy to chat and answer any questions. Highly recommended!

Our little boy joined Leyf at Barking Riverside full time from 9 months until 22 months old when we moved from the area. He had a wonderful experience at Leyf thanks to the team. Staff are caring and go the extra mile for children with different, fun activities arranged most days with lots of take-home crafts as well as invites to parent/family celebration events and parent-only behavioural advice workshops.

I had both my boys at Barking Riverside Nursey and Pre-school and my experience has been nothing short of excellent. The managing staff are extremely helpful and the teachers are very attentive and kind. My second son started nursery at 5 months, and I was naturally worried (him being so young), but the teachers did such a great job that within a few weeks he was fully settled and even eager to go into nursery. My kids were both always very well-fed, and extremely happy. I highly recommend this nursery!

Just as importantly, the staff truly made the atmosphere in the nursery feel like family. My son knows all the staff members' names, and they always make us feel welcome at pick up and drop off. Furthermore, he has built strong friendships with his classmates and improved his communication skills. We will truly miss seeing everyone on a daily basis and would highly recommend this daycare as a great place for your child. Thank you, Barking Riverside!

Very pleased with this nursery. Not only are the staff very welcoming and polite but they have done an outstanding job working with my daughter. I have experienced 2 nurseries with my daughter and can honestly say the difference this nursery is for her. Every time I pick her up or take her to nursery she is very happy. Not only is she happy to go to nursery but she has a great relationship with the staff as she always tries to call their names even at home.

I have noticed significant improvements in my daughter's behaviour and mannerisms and it goes to show when you have a good team at a good nursery it really speaks for itself. I will highly recommend this nursery to friends and family as I only have good things to say.
