We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Bright Horizons Eddington Nursery for the wonderful experience we've had since our daughters very first day.
The babies room team has been exceptional. One staff member was incredibly supportive during her initial settling-in period, and another staff member has been a fantastic key worker ever since. We are truly grateful for the care and dedication shown by you, the manager, two members of staff, along with the entire team which has been deeply reassuring for us as working parents. Our thanks also go to two other staff members and everyone else who has contributed to our daughters journey at the nursery.

We are certain that when she grows up, she will appreciate and cherish the love and support she received at your nursery, something we will make sure to tell her about.

My son attended Bright Horizons Eddington from October 2023 to October 2024. When my son joined, I had a newborn and he was abruptly uprooted from his old nursery (which closed unexpectedly). The staff, especially the manager, made sure my son felt safe and supported. Even at short notice, management was willing to answer my questions. Their communication is nothing short of exemplary. My son's speech therapist also visited Eddington to observe his social interactions. The staff incorporated her suggestions and kept a record of his progress. My son's paediatric dietitian also gave specific meal plans which Eddington was able to follow. His key worker implemented the Occupational Therapist's strategies to overcome potty training resistance. Eddington has truly been my village to raise my child! In November 2024, he attended the Perse School assessment process. The fact he could attend an 1.5 hours assessment and succeeded in getting a spot is testament to this amazing place.

Both of our sons attended Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool and we'll forever be grateful for the support and care we received from the incredible nursery staff over these past years (2019-2024). One of our sons was diagnosed with developmental and health challenges and the staff approached these with exceptional dedication, putting special development and health plans in place, reviewing them regularly and leading the applications for additional support. Their commitment was unwavering. Both of our boys loved their time at the nursery, made wonderful progress and formed deep bonds with their key caregivers. As parents, we always felt confident that they were safe and surrounded by people who genuinely cared about them.

Both of our daughters attended Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool, with our eldest being part of the first cohort when the nursery initially opened. Our youngest daughter graduated in July 2024 and has now settled into reception wonderfully. It's been so encouraging to hear positive feedback from her teachers.

The staff and management team at Eddington Nursery have been fantastic, not only with our children but also in their support of us, as parents. Both of our daughters thoroughly enjoyed their time there and we are truly grateful for the care they received.

I am very happy for this nursery for taking care of my child very well. Teachers are very kind and supportive. I am happy with the mobile app where we can see what our child is doing and also very good to see posts from the nursery about our child's learning progress.

Both of our children who went to Eddington really enjoyed their time there.
They received excellent care, learned a lot and bonded well with their key people.

We, as a family, felt supported by management as well; they were always helpful and on top of their jobs.

Our son attended the nursery from May 2019 until July 2023. It has been a great source of comfort to us to know that he has been so well looked after and cared for. The staff have been excellent and provided a safe and caring environment which, for us, is the fundamental pillar of childcare. They have been open to feedback and have responded positively to our requests. We are extremely grateful to them for their efforts.

The staff at Eddington Nursery are truly one of a kind. I leave my son every day knowing he’s in the best hands and care. The nursery itself is beautiful, safe with risk assessments in place, and managed well. Communication is outstanding, and we as parents are always in the loop about updates and feedback. We can’t rank this nursery high enough and thank the wonderful team at the Eddington Nursery!

Our son has been at Eddington Nursery since August 2022 in the explorer's room (0-1). Above all, we have been very impressed with the staff at Bright Horizons and the level of care and the attention they give to our child's development and health has been very high. We are satisfied with the facilities and space for our son to be active indoors and outdoors (he is very active!), the creative activities the team organises for his development, the level of communication with us as parents both at the door and on the app and the personal touch and kindness that our child receives from his keyworker. Our son is very happy at Eddington, Bright Horizons and we are as well.

My child has been in Eddington nursery since 2019. We have been mostly satisfied with the services provided. The child is most of the time happy to come to the nursery and has formed meaningful connections with other children and staff. However, one of my concerns in the past half a year was a high frequency of permanent staff changing, including the key person changes in the same room for four times. Because of that, we have noticed a higher number of temporary agency workers covering for those roles. And there was some period of time when my child may have experienced unsettling feelings that could have affected their behaviour, including more frequent wee accidents whilst well potty trained. Also, bear in mind that facilities are great and rooms are spacious so they fit quite a large number of children, which I believe can increase the infections transmission rates and frequency of your child becoming ill, compared to say a smaller nursery group. Though I do prefer spaciousness.

Our daughter has been here for the last 2 years since she was 9 months old. She has had a few different key workers as she progressed through the rooms, has always spoken positively and frequently about each of them, and is always eager to go. From the managerial staff to the practitioners, they seem to be a kind and genuinely caring nursery. They provide a wealth of information about the activities the kids are doing, continual detailed and meaningful progress reports, and at home activities you as a parent can do to assist your child's development. We have seen them handle covid, and the response to a fire alarm effectively. This is the only nursery our child has been to, and whilst we don't have anything to compare against, we don't think there's much, if anything, lacking at all.

It's difficult to properly evaluate the nursery due to the Covid-19 situation. I feel often the management 'looks' more helpful than it really is. Often emails get unanswered or answered unsatisfactorily and with delay. We think the key worker is really good, but again, it's difficult to judge when we've not even seen the room our son is in. Additionally, things we'd consider common sense aren't always so - putting a short sleeve on when it's hot etc.

We are sorry to read of your concerns. I will ensure your comments are fed back to the Nursery Team.

We are launching our parent app very shortly which will aid all communication. We also hope to welcome parents back into the setting in late June, when safe to do so.

Kind Regards

Eddington Bright Horizons is simply the best nursery we’ve encountered in our eight years of having our kids in childcare.

Over the last year, the team have dealt calmly with the unprecedented circumstances of Covid whilst always delivering an amazing service and a high degree of professionalism. I’ve been so impressed with the staff who are always enthusiastic to see my daughter in the morning and from her stories put so much effort into making sure nursery is a safe, exciting and enriching place. They’ve handled changing circumstances and procedures seamlessly and have provided my daughter with a lovely dose of normality during Covid.
The facilities are second to none including the on-site kitchen which produces super food for the kids.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the nursery.

My son is very happy at the nursery. He likes playing with his friends and has a strong bond with the key person and other staff. Nursery provides a lot of great activities which are important for the development.
The nursery building is great with large and light rooms. The nursery has an onsite chef who cooks fresh food every day with the allergies instruction for each child.
The management is very friendly and easily approachable with any questions and queries, big and small.

Huge thanks to the nursery manager and all staff who keeps the nursery a great place for our children to be happy, safe, well developed and loved!

Picking a nursery during a pandemic when you can't even look around is quite challenging. I had heard excellent reviews of Eddington and knew the manager had achieved good Ofsted reports in the past. When I called up I was immediately put at ease. My son started and was clearly one of the youngest but his key worker was and is fantastic, he gets excited to see her every morning and I know picking Eddington was right for him and me.

Our daughter joined Bright Horizons Eddington in 2021, and so far, we have had a very positive experience overall. The facilities are excellent, and the nursery staff have been very welcoming, helping our daughter to settle in record time (within a couple of days). Despite the COVID-19 limitations, during the last few months, the managers have been clearly communicating with us via weekly emails, our daughter's key person provided regular developmental updates and was available for discussion whenever we needed. During winter, we were very impressed by the strict infection prevention protocols. Recently, more work was done to connect parents from children within the same room, via WhatsApp groups, which is really helpful to get to know other families. One of the challenges for this nursery is the long community waiting list, and we hope that in the future they will be able to accommodate more families settling within Eddington/close to the nursery.

Superb nursery led by competent knowledgeable and friendly managers. Good provision of vegan options specially prepared by an in house chef. The staff put a lot of effort into planning activities for the kids and communicating with parents. My son enjoys going to nursery each day and we have lovely discussions about his day in the evenings. I particularly enjoy the photos and notes that are sometimes sent home.
